Quisp vs. Quangaroos

Well, what do you know! I never did find out who won that dopey competition. Kind of got bored after the Scandanavian immigrant nearly drowned Quisp in Lake Superior. ("Ja, so did Paul Bunyon!")

Just found Quisp cereal at Target tonight! Yay! I loved that cereal when I was a kid. I hope it tastes the same and they didn't change it. Gonna open it up and have a bowl tomorrow morning!

Quangaroos was one of the best cereals.

Since Jay Ward produced these commercials, naturally he used one of Fred Steiner's cues from "Dudley Do-Right" {one of the famous "chase" motifs, also heard on Ward's "FRACTURED FLICKERS"}. I also remember "King Vitaman", which alternated between a "live" King and an animated one on the package, and in commercials {"Have breakfast with the King!'}.

Wow I remember this cereal from the 60s, my mom bought it and King Vitamin! Who remembers that?

My mom was weird. She'd buy me Quangaroos but thought Quisp was too sugary.
