Caucau is far better than Lomu. Every coach out there knows that. Lomu is a one dimensional player whereas Caucau has multiple level of skills as a ball runner, passer of the ball, can turn defence into attack, etc. In fact, Caucau is the complete winger. Whoever said below that Caucau is not better than Lomu does not know rugby or is merely bias. Its as simple as that.

To compare these two players, look at the quality of tries during their careers. Caucau still tops.

But its a different game form when Lomu played. When lomu was 'inform' in 1995 and 1999 he was a monster, also in super 14 he destroyed teams. But the game is different now. Lomu never was fit cause of the kidney and so to say that caucau is better isn't a fair comparison.

Willdude, I totally 100% agree with you. My favorite winger of all time. His speed is unmatched. I believe if he was allowed to play for the All Blacks, they would've dealt with his bad habits. He would've have been an ever better winger had he played with the AB's. Just when he gets up his speed the try line is already there.

If I had to pick today I would go with Habana, but the Caucau of 2003 would be my pick for the best of all time along side Lomu.I've never seen a player create something out of nothing every time he touches the ball time and time again. I watched the games where he single handly tore the Crusaders, Waratahs, Chiefs, Brumbies, French,Scottish backline to shreds. The Fiji 2003 RWC team almost reached the QFs because of 1 man.

I've read a lot of Fijian posters saying Caucau is the same for Club & Country, it has nothing to do with wanting to commit to Fiji or not, its more to do with his attitude not bothered to play rugby period. I also read that the his absence for the Fiji team happened only once and the 2nd time he was excused along with other senior Fiji players, but, the Fiji press singled him out. So all in all I'm not sure why there is an issue about him committing to Fiji when he failed to turn up only once.
