You ride really well without your stirrups... when I lost mine it's like... biggest fail ever. Your horse is gorgeous, very drool worthy!

Have you ever shown down at Thunderbird? I'm hoping to do Thunderbird and/or Milner next year... it depends on if I have a horse and my coaches plans :P

haha thanks (: I've shown at the Tbird April Outdoor schooling show, but that's it. I can't afford to show in their regular circut, but I'm getting another horse so I can move up & be more competitive. I dominate like 2'9'' but I'd rather do 2 Milner shows (LOVELOVELOVE it there, favourite place to show) than one Tbird show!

Yeah, for sure- it's super expensive! I'm hoping to come off the island this season- maybe we'll show against eachother! I'm thinking next season (of course, horse pending) of doing the 2'9/3'0.

I doubt I'll get off the island though when I think about it, the ferry rates are so expensive :(

well if you're hauling with other horses, when the rate is split it isn't /so/ bad. I feel so lucky to be so close to all of the major shows around here! We just bought a farm in Langley so we'll be 5 mins from tbird (: If you ever see me around, come say hi! I'll probably start out in 3'0 - 3'3'' next year, possibly 3'6'' at the end but we'll see. It sucks because I school Miracle 3'0'' - 3'3'' but she's just not scopey enough to be super competitive at that level. She's my baby though (:

yeah, more girls from my barn would be coming down too. Oh wow, you're definitly close! I'll definitly let you know before hand, I'll feel like a total lurker if I do come down and randomly say hi haha. Yeah, I know the feeling- I use to have a mare named Saffy (she was a palomino too!) She just wasn't sound enough to do anything bigger than 2'6 though; I wish I could of kept her too, but it was too expensive to board two out.

yeah, we used to have three (mirro, another rescue pony, and a rescue colt) but we couldn't afford to keep them all. hahah sounds good, i've had people come up to me before and they're like ''i'm ponyluver665432'' and i'm like um... hi? it's so awkward not actually knowing who they are cause i've never talked to them in my life. LOL

It's horrible! When I was there a girl passed out and fell off in the MIDDLE of a one stride, and my friend passed out in her horse's stall. Scary! A friend and I stayed in a trailer together and we went through 4 24 packs of waterbottles and tons of gatorade to keep hydrated. It was insane because one minute I'd chug a water bottle and be fine and the next I'd be sweating balls and having to go all the way back to the trailer to get another one! What are you showing in?

ya it's awful! but it cooled doown sooooo much! and im doing the short stuirrup 2'3 stuff and others but this is REALLY my first show year cuz i was only doing like cross rails last year! so ya....

Ditto...read a few comments and pictures ARE beautiful Karly. Your riding, as usual, is beautiful (position).... Jumpers are fun, and so is hunters, cool you are doing both! Good luck to you in your next show too :D
