@tammyterry I understand your pain of being a veteran, for i am too serving in todays military. i have seen people lose everything, from dear john letters, to lives and so i know that you feel like the Lord isnt helping bring back your ability to walk. but that doesnt mean he hasnt blessed you with other things in life my friend. he constantly watches over His children and knows when their time is. he may not have let you keep your legs for a reason to so the world that you could praise w/o them

A quite interesting theory on prayers. Why do some people receive what they want and others dont? Think of it like this- you cant drink from an empty glass. What one receives after praying is considered to be a "borrowed" energy. One has to continue to do good deeds in order to borrow that energy and receive what he's asking for. It's like a bank account- you simply cant withdraw from an empty account. Same concept when praying...
There's actually a study according to which praying for someone (so that he/she knows about it) can actually be harmful. Just google "Long-Awaited Medical Study Questions the Power of Prayer".
The Lord may not give your legs back, but He is strengthening all other parts of your body. Prayer may not be able to restore your severed limbs, but it can restore your broken spirit. Sometimes we are asking for signs so bad that we are not listening for His answer. The Lord is no respector of persons, which means what He does for me He will do for anyone else including amputees. God bless you and thank you for all you have done for me including losing your legs. Thank you, I owe you my life.

I wonder how God can listen to my prayers and help me with my problems, and at the same time be ignoring the prayers of millions of starving children around the world... and even if I pray for them, he will start to ignore those prayers because he does nothing to change that :(

This is a great video! However it STILL is not what I need. I am a veteran who lost both my legs several years ago. No matter how many times I pray, no matter how much I believe, nothing happens. Prayer does not restore my severed limbs. You can search through all the medical journals written; there is no documented case of an amputated leg being restored. I think that God ignores the prayers of amputees. If God were answering the prayers of amputees, we would be seeing amputated legs growing back every day. Why won’t God heal amputees?

Unless you've lived a holy life or have burned away your accumulative sinful karma, then why should your prayers be answered and not Charles Mansons? They shouldn't.

@tammyterry..Amputees are no different in Gods eyes..he loves you wether you have all limbs or non! The only organ in your body that matters to him is your heart. You must give it all to him for he has sent his only son to give his life so that you may have a chance to enter heaven once you have left this earth..entering heaven should be your biggest goal for it is the place where you will spend all of eternity..remember that life here on earth is only temporary!

I know that you are going through a lot, but always trust in Jesus. If you do he will be with you through your pain. Not only that he will also take you to be with him at the end of it all.

I am really sorry to hear about your tragedy. I don't know what it is like to loose my limbs but I do have a friend who told me a story about her friend who sadly got her legs amputated, and her arms have lost all movement also. This girl is all over the internet with her amazing story of how her passion for horse riding and perseverance helped her to become a world class paraplegic horse rider. Ofcorse it would be hard to have no legs and you are right, you don't hear of God amazingly placing

@tammyterry I have great respect and sympathy for you and the rest who are in your position.Prayers might make you feel better hoping some thing will happen.But the fact is prayers will not change the outcome.
Example,some breast cancer has 75% 5 years survival rate.This statistic is the same in Christian and non Christian who don't pray at all.

@tammyterry soon you will lose much more than just your legs. We must pray for God's will to be done. Surrendering to God is the hardest thing to do but the most rewarding.
@tammyterry Sorry to hear about your injury, however, what makes you think that God does not hear your prayers? Don't you think that it's a bit miraculous that you didn't lose your life? Perhaps you were supposed to die in the accident, perhaps the Good Lord saved your life to strengthen your faith. I for one have seen miracles first hand, I was healed of a sickness during worship August 2009. But that's why God moves mightily in third world countries..they have genuine faith! But again, God never said He would heal anyone and everyone. It takes faith, takes it being His will and His timing, some wont be til heaven.

I know how bad it is to lost both limbs, but shouldn't you be thankful to God that you only lost your limbs but not your life...Those lost limbs are reminders that he still loves you..not a curse..don't question god's greatness we all face difficult problems in life..Even I face a very difficult problem...but the point is we should not lost our faith..

@tammyterry I was a military man my self and I think it is an Honorable proffession. Did God ask you to join the armed forces, or you joined by your own will? I think that here in the US the military is voluntary and we know that a fire fighter, Police officer and specially Military is all abbout killing at least that is the way that it was when I was a grunt in the Army. @tammyterry Yes, Tammy it is tough. Meditate on the Passions of Jesus. He was sinless. He was God. But He was willing to be scourged, mocked,spat upon, kicked, slapped, crowned with thorns, stripped naked, nailed and stabbed for us. Why because He loved us, a love beyond all imaginations. Feel the sorrows his Mother had to bear to bring Him to us. The pain that Mary bore is spiritual that stabbed a mother's heart. Don't bear it on your own. Lift it up to them as your love offerings in return.

A quite interesting theory on prayers. Why do some people receive what they want and others dont? Think of it like this- you cant drink from an empty glass. What one receives after praying is considered to be a "borrowed" energy. One has to continue to do good deeds in order to borrow that energy and receive what he's asking for. It's like a bank account- you simply cant withdraw from an empty account. Same concept when praying...

The Lord may not give your legs back, but He is strengthening all other parts of your body. Prayer may not be able to restore your severed limbs, but it can restore your broken spirit. Sometimes we are asking for signs so bad that we are not listening for His answer. The Lord is no respector of persons, which means what He does for me He will do for anyone else including amputees. God bless you and thank you for all you have done for me including losing your legs. Thank you, I owe you my life.

I wonder how God can listen to my prayers and help me with my problems, and at the same time be ignoring the prayers of millions of starving children around the world... and even if I pray for them, he will start to ignore those prayers because he does nothing to change that :(
I think that's cruel, even I cannot just sit down and watch someone, especially an innocent child, to suffer in pain and hunger, dying slowly without any kind of help, It seems thath only God can do that with ease :(

This is a great video! However it STILL is not what I need. I need a video (by tomorrow afternoon in fact) on the power of prayer/religion/spirituality and health benefits that can be used in a multi-faith setting. So now mentioning of Jesus, the word of the lord, rosary, etc..HELP..does anyone know of one? I need just a short video. I am a veteran who lost both my legs several years ago. No matter how many times I pray, no matter how much I believe, nothing happens. Prayer does not restore my severed limbs. You can search through all the medical journals written; there is no documented case of an amputated leg being restored. I think that God ignores the prayers of amputees. If God were answering the prayers of amputees, we would be seeing amputated legs growing back every day. Why won’t God heal amputees?

@tammyterry Do you think it is gods will to give your legs back? Have you sinned? Do you sin? Did you enter into communion with the holy spirit before praying? God and Jesus are very clear on how to pray, what prayers will be answered, and who has the authority to even speak to god. I suggest you read some works by Teresa of Avila. Unless you've lived a holy life or have burned away your accumulative sinful karma, then why should your prayers be answered and not Charles Mansons? They shouldn't.

You must give it all to him for he has sent his only son to give his life so that you may have a chance to enter heaven once you have left this earth..entering heaven should be your biggest goal for it is the place where you will spend all of eternity..remember that life here on earth is only temporary!

@tammyterry God does answer prayer, If you are born again! A lot of people have died for Him, and gave up the things of this world for the things of the next world. I know that you are going through a lot, but always trust in Jesus. If you do he will be with you through your pain. Not only that he will also take you to be with him at the end of it all.
Then He will give you a new body! Just trust in Him and he will be with you all the days of your life.

I am really sorry to hear about your tragedy. I don't know what it is like to loose my limbs but I do have a friend who told me a story about her friend who sadly got her legs amputated, and her arms have lost all movement also. This girl is all over the internet with her amazing story of how her passion for horse riding and perseverance helped her to become a world class paraplegic horse rider. Ofcorse it would be hard to have no legs and you are right, you don't hear of God amazingly placing

Example,some breast cancer has 75% 5 years survival rate.This statistic is the same in Christian and non Christian who don't pray at all.

@tammyterry Sorry to hear about your injury, however, what makes you think that God does not hear your prayers? Don't you think that it's a bit miraculous that you didn't lose your life? Perhaps you were supposed to die in the accident, perhaps the Good Lord saved your life to strengthen your faith. Try this...Pray to the Lord and thank him for sparing your life and thank him for giving you the opportunity to see your family because there are many soldiers who never got that chance.Bthankful!

@tammyterry . Where in the bible did God say He would heal amputees? You don't see healings period as much as you should because people like you, lack any real FAITH whatsoever. I for one have seen miracles first hand, I was healed of a sickness during worship August 2009. But that's why God moves mightily in third world countries..they have genuine faith! But again, God never said He would heal anyone and everyone. It takes faith, takes it being His will and His timing, some wont be til heaven.

I know how bad it is to lost both limbs, but shouldn't you be thankful to God that you only lost your limbs but not your life...Those lost limbs are reminders that he still loves you..not a curse..don't question god's greatness we all face difficult problems in life..Even I face a very difficult problem...but the point is we should not lost our faith..

@tammyterry I was a military man my self and I think it is an Honorable proffession. Did God ask you to join the armed forces, or you joined by your own will? I think that here in the US the military is voluntary and we know that a fire fighter, Police officer and specially Military is all abbout killing at least that is the way that it was when I was a grunt in the Army. If you fire a rifle the bullit will kill or mangle someone else. Then why you blame God take responsability

But He was willing to be scourged, mocked,spat upon, kicked, slapped, crowned with thorns, stripped naked, nailed and stabbed for us. Why because He loved us, a love beyond all imaginations. Feel the sorrows his Mother had to bear to bring Him to us. The pain that Mary bore is spiritual that stabbed a mother's heart. Don't bear it on your own. Lift it up to them as your love offerings in return.
