But I grew up in Grays, and when I was a kid, believe it or not, it was a decent town. We had a Curries, Tesco, 2 cinemas etc. Then all the shops went almost overnight when Lakeside opened, people moved away.
All we got now is drunk Poles, pikies and Nigerians. Pound shops, betting shops, Afro-Carribean hair stylists (about 20 of those).
I'm moving soon to a village in the country, thank God. There's nothing left in Grays to keep me there.
