The alternate storyline in the MV was interesting. Both Mike and Ariel were amazing portraying some very intriguing characters in Love Contract. I didn't think the ending was open-ended or confusing.

spoiler alert:

Real life in the drama ended when "The End" flashed. When ah ken rejoiced that "xiao feng is back", that's their moment of passing. All the scenes after that are based on an afterlife where they're happy with ALL their friends and xiao feng is no longer visibly scarred.
