  • There is no such thing as a chemical imbalance

  • @tien714 You know I think there are many kinds of depression and not all of them can be cause by a Chemical imballence. I belive this does exist or else I may aswell dismiss Postnatal Depression and Pre Menstral Tension as fake and nothing to do with an imbalance of chemicals. My point being that I think your only half right in what you say.

  • Oh and, depression = not the same as feeling a little glum or sad when something bad happened in your life. It's a long episode of feeling nothing and feeling empty, lacking any drive to do everyday tasks and loosing an important part of your identity. It is NOT normal, but shouldn't be handled with medication without therapy.

  • Depression and chemical inbalance go hand in hand, we just haven't figured out yet if it's the cause or the result of depression. Current theory is the diatheses-stress model, some people are more vulnerable for external influence - best way to treat depression is psycho-education, cogntive behavioral therapy and medication for heavy depressions.

  • Maslow's Hierarchy was not proven and fact was disproven multiple times.

Just the same nothing is my fault :) I 'm not responsible for myself. Kidding. Thank you for the thoughts. Have a great day.

  • "It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society".

    -Jiddu Krishnamurti

  • The mind is a fragile thing, I get depressed when I'm around negative people so I just avoid them! Life is too short

  • Depression is a normal condition when you are living in a negatively polarized society. For example, if you are living in the society where people are more likely to shut you up, beat you up, disrespect you, and mistreat, compete against you rather than to help you.

The claimed "chemical imbalance" is a proper way to boost some drug company's bottom line.

I hope made sense but if I didn't, then let me know. Just don't depress me, or anybody else for that matter, for example, do not disrespe

  • Your lecture is depressing.

  • I personally think depression is just the world we live in right now. There's nothing wrong with our brain !

  • aside from that hey you look realy tiny im huuuuuuge compared to you i wonder if i lube you up realy good can i shove my hole bone inside you right untill it bends and flolds inside you until it fucks the bottom and the top half of the inside of youre stuff sort of like 2 candy bars stuck together =p this is a chain letter if you send it off you get bad luck if you speak of it you get bad luck ect. for 40yrs 0.0

  • depression is a wide subject. you kept relating it to yourself, this was very shallow

  • You are right! Drugs are not helpful , they just block the manifestation, but you become a plant, you stop reacting to life. But from my research, there is also a lack of vitamins/minerals/other in the body like B Complex, Mg, Ca. It seems that our body would be capable to adapt to the stress if in the same time we would take care of it an offer proper physical activity, and the natural substances it needs.

  • Depression is not being sad. Concisely I'd say it's consistently running below the flat line instead of on it. Nothing much can lift above the flat line more than briefly. It's running on an empty tank. People who have never experienced it can't understand.

  • I've been thinking about other things that lead to depression-

The motions we go through, the actual conditioned movements & reactions etc.on a daily & moment to moment basis-reinforced by class & stratification as well as the unnatural modern environment we are immersed in (walking in shoes, living in cities)We are meant to squat, stand up straight, walk around all day- be in a constant state of fluid homeostasis- we are forced in to a rigid mould that doesn't respect the integrity of our bodies

  • I don't know if it is a chemical imbalance, but even though it is not proven, I can still feel that there is something wrong with the brain, after my horrible experience from social factors my depression and anxiety hit me hard and I can feel it.

  • i have no soul it died when i was 12 while i masturbated to mortal combat with stolen hot sauce and the sounds of crying children filled the room

  • hot hot hot hot hot

  • I have laid in bed for months on end crying and feeling life would be better without me in it and have traid many drugs and all i wait for now is death to stop my pain....My depression is very very real.

  • @dilwich123

knowing people seeing you sad can affect you causing you to not want to talk to people, but if you are aware of the situation, it can help you learn how to be more social. once you overcome, you fight depression with positive feelings of confidence. you learn how to fight depression and this empowers you.

no drugs (unless truly needed) and eating right helps a lot. :)

  • @dilwich123

you missed the point of this video. watch and listen to it in full.

  • My opinion: the brain is highly adaptable... And highly maladaptable. Feeling nothing but sadness for a long period of time causes physical changes in both the neurons and the neurotransmitters. This is what clinical depression is. When your brain has physically changed and maladapted to just being depressed... Antidepressants have the ability to lift your brain out of its maladapted depressed state by screwing with how the neurotransmitters work and deceiving the neurons.

  • @youztuber5000 I definitely don't think this is a cure. I look at it as a crutch, giving you some emotional relief so that you can have the faculty to fix what is going on in your life that is making you sad, rather than being bombarded with feelings of dispair and hopelessness. Depression has been seen in the brain to diminish the size of the hippocampus, probably because depression (or any stress) inhibits the production of new neurons. Antidepressants have been shown to promote neurogenesis

  • @youztuber5000 in depressed rats. I think antidepressants do in fact have a place in treating depression. As for what causes depression? There are so many things, only you can know what causes your depression. The doctors help by treating the physiological symptoms.Therapists can help with aiding you in finding ways to live that keep you out of depression and in a more positive state

Whatever.. I hate how I wrote all this. Maybe if I wasn't mentally ill I could've done better.. sorry..whatever..

  • @youztuber5000 Lol, and maybe if I wasn't so mentally ill I wouldn't be so hard on myself!

  • Depression is product of a sadomasochistic society. The lady in this video explicitly admits this. The medical industrial complex pumps up your body with dangerous psychotropics to keep you sedated and apathetic so you can remain a zombie in this crashing system. It's about money and keeping the robots in line. Depression is a good sign, it's letting you know that Western society is the real supervirus.

  • I agree that this whole "chemical imbalance" issue is simply a way to sell ineffective drugs. My story is that i've been depressed ever since my first memories from around 4yrs old. (34yrs ago). I've been chronically depressed despite my circumstances. I've had great jobs, great friends, etc...and nothing has caused any improvement. I have only gotten worse as i now have panic disorder as well. I've tried every form of therapy i can find, spent a fortune on herbs, vitamins, etc..to no avail

  • Something very obvious once you see it, that has been right in front of us the whole time regarding the "chemical imbalance" is that yes we are actually chemically imbalanced, but not because we are naturally. Because we are living in chemically polluted environments, glade plugins, fabreez, weaponized tide, shampoo, soaps, makeup, perfume, cologne, cleaners... the list goes on. Over 80,000 way over actually, untested synthetic chemicals have been introduced into our lives in less than 20 years

  • It's normal to be depressed in a life sucking, electromagnetically and chemically polluted, clean air and water deficient environment, saturated with chemicals that mimic your hormones.

  • @omegasher and also all the things we go through with society, with all the news and morals and unnatural lives we live

  • Depression is caused by not having what you want in life, the fundamentals:

Not understanding or not having: such as not having a, or, multiple quality intimate relationships, inspiring purpose in life, and understanding how, and, doing what is necessary to be healthy.

  • I need real scientists to do some Tests to confirm or deny my findings tinyurlDotcom/3k6463n

  • I don't get depressed any more to speak of. A lot of it is because I have a decent job a nice place to live, and I don't have to deal with assholes.

  • you depress me...

  • Additionally, just because there are "no medical tests" to determine whether major depression is due to a chemical imbalance or not does not mean that this is not a factor behind depression. Using that kind of "logic" is like trying to prove or disprove one's feelings toward another person. Can I medically PROOVE that I love my family? Of course not--there are no medical tests for this. But I love them nonetheless, medical tests notwithstanding.

  • @ProctoLion I understand your point, but diagnosing someone with a "mental illness" and declaring love for your family are understandably different things. The issue I have is that they lead us to believe that they have found a chemical, physical abnormality in the brain, when it's really just theory. Further you say that some depression is "without a doubt caused by an imbalance of neurotransmitters" and that's not necessarily true. They would need to dissect living brains and well...

  • There is situational depression caused by external factors such as the loss of a loved one, etc. But despite what this video is saying, there is also depression that is, without a doubt, caused by an imbalance in neurotransmitters. The fact that the 2nd type of depression is vastly improved by medications which alleviate the imbalances rather seems to prove this point.

  • Drugs don't work. Drugs suppress, postpone or weaken symptoms. They can't fight it. It's up to the human body to fight psychological problems. Just look at the doctors running around declaring that every 2nd child has ADD or ADHD just because they tend to play around a lot.

Fact is many adults who would have been diagnosed with ADD turned out to become normal, responsible, patient and even talented human beings.

  • Depression is a product of trying to fit into a society that sadistically insists that you conform into a consciousness of conspicuous consumption, cults of personality, and shallow, robotic relationships devoid of any real love. Welcome to America folks!

  • a state of mind.! caused by the way you think your life is going. cutting down on tv news papers and what others think will help put your own being into perspective appart from being sick or aflicted or trolled and abused bullied ect by your peers or the government and laws tax work nothing much left to blame on chemicals!

  • This video is spot on. Realizing these things was the only way I was able to overcome my depression. Thanks for sharing.

  • I hear many people define depression as a state of permanent sadness with no reason at all. I see many people with excelent jobs, great family, great marriage and still suffer for depression. If you feel sad for a long period ( months even years )with no apparent reason this is what i called depression

  • I knew it!!:..

Love this video... thank you very much!

    very interesting!

  • Wow, I failed to tie it all to the current topic...

I am not sure if anxiety is a type of depression, but it would be safe to conclude, if a person suffers from anxiety long enough, it would lead to depression. So, if anxiety is not depression, but anxiety is connected to a chemical imbalance, then there exists an indirect link between depression and chemical imbalances. Thanks, just a few thoughts to add to the discussion.

  • Of course, animal protein hindering serotonin production in the brain might be a "theory" that is not universal to all people and possibly neither specific to individuals. But I did read about the theory from what seemed like credible sources. I do realize human nutrition is complicated and relative to an individual's specific needs.

  • I wonder would a neurotransmitter deficiency be considered a chemical imbalance? I ask, because I followed a low-carb diet for a few years. And I noticed it increased my anxiety levels. After doing some research, I found out that carbohydrates help the brain produce serotonin, which helps create feelings of calmness. Ironically, protein, notably animal based, hinders the production of serotonin via the blood-brain barrier. I have cut way down on protein and increased carbs, and I feel calmer.

  • Schizophrenia is a natural change in an un-natural environment.. I should be med free and adjusting to this change that is occurring the natural way..

  • if you want to help my depression let me motorboat them tittays!

  • i got depression just from watching this bitch

  • Whenever there is depression, there is human bad behavior that we see, and my question is why Is there bad behavior? ...and too much bad behavior?

  • correction: "understand".

  • I think inderstand what the video is about: psychiatry, etc. takes "normal" human emotions, quantifies them as a disorder and then offers a solution, which often includes medications.

  • as a victim of depression I can say that the cause of it is too much thinking on problems and also puberty can set it because before it we are cheerful and not think to much and once we start maturing we start to think about our future worry think about our issues and start getting depressed and can last for a brief time to a long time untill you realize that you are fine and need to move on with your life

  • Depression is something that most human beings are not comfortable with. With long lasting depressed state of self, many people choose to end their life to finish this pathetic feeling. Also, many of those, that have committed suicide, had once shown depression symptoms. As long as being suicidal and committing suicide are not considered normal, I don't think we can assume long lasting "depression" being normal.

  • You cannot study anything to its fullest potential outside the context of its environment, the mind included. Psychologists have a funny job. They try to adjust minds to a society that has a collective value system disorder. It's the conditioning from environmental stimuli that cause mental illnesses for the most part, but not in ALL cases. Why not have a look at the "outside to inside" approach?

  • could you please do one on schizophrenia? i have a bother suffering from it, and i do not completely understand it (: please!

  • "for me depression is".....looks down and reads some technical definition of it

  • Unrealistic expectations of life. Setting the bar to high and feeling like a failure when we dont meet our goals and dreams.

  • I think the causes of depression are to be sought at functional levels rather than structural levels such as chemical and neurological.

  • What makes me feel good is doing creative workouts at night outdoors. I barefoot run on a park green here & there is a chin up bar there.Doing chin ups is empowering & challenging & it gets much energy out.I'll jog a loop, do 5 chin-ups, jog another loop, do 10 push-ups,then 5 chin-ups, jog a loop, do a sun salutation, 5 more chin-ups etc. Ill do this for 1 hour. When jogging I keep posture good & mindful of my vision & find gazing points like stars, trees, signs. This helps me break depression.

  • thank you so much for your explanation. This is exactly how I feel about depression. When I had my bought with it I got so angry with the doctor diagnosing me and prescribing an anti-depressant within ten minutes of talking to her. I felt worse after using the drugs. Later I felt like what you exactly said in this video and didn't feel the need to be on meds anymore.

  • The psychological state of a human bring is purely chemical in nature. I understand that this statement is going to be challenged by some. I have no proof. I can only speak from experience, which includes many drugs. Enough said!

  • Chronic Pain causes Depression. That is probably the main reason for treating Chronic Pain. If not a patient will probably commit suicide or turn to the streets for help (alcohol and pain killers). Another symptom is high Blood presure. As the pain levels rise so does Blood Pressure. Stroke or Heart Attacks do happen as a result of leaving Chronic Pain untreated. My question is; "Are the doctors and Workers Compensation Boards trying to murder us?" My answer is; "Yes" Now isn't that depressing?

  • I think she takes our comments too seriously now im depressed :(

  • It is hard not to be depressed when you are slandered and it cost you your job, when you were crippled for life by your company and received only welfare and condemnation from everyone. It is hard not to be depresssed when you are in constant pain from severe neurological damage and doctors tell you to shut up. It is hard to hard to be robbed of your basic rights to charge those for frauds and thefts against you that leave you impoverished, can't afford medicine, or go to school. It is hard ....

  • ... not to be deressed when yo ar frighteed becuse you are disabled and cannot work. It is even more depressing to not be allowed to work. It is hard, not to be able to have sex, or a wife and family, because you are unable to perform.Brain injured, confused, why do they treat me so? Train wreck 32 years ago. Thrown out, crushed, crippled for life. Tried to work but can't. They know. Broken promises cause depression. 75% wage loss and medical care if I don't sue. Okay.

  • Lies. Abuse of my body and mind. furher eterioration in condition. Behaviour problems, jail, alcholic drinking, pain, depression. and i scream 'GOD HELP ME!" because no one else will. My abusers are to many t kill. They are my society as a whole. I am an injured worker from Canada. One of 50,000+ currently being torured with untreated pain because the workers Compensation Boards do not want to admit we are disabled and pay our wage loss and medical care.

  • Depressed? Yes. Me and 50,000+ others in the same situation. We are mistreated and we die from stress. Suicide, Heart Attack, Stroke. As a result of extreme Pain, enforced Poverty, and Stress. Three killers. Plus not getting diagnosed for Chronic Pain and Depression, instead being called a malingerer and a fraud, when it fact it is the Workers Compensation Boards who are the frauds. I wouldn't be depressed at all if they would give me what they promised. Neither would the others.

  • it is based on nutrients if you take a multi vitamin you be good getting a whole balanced diet

  • I have used antidepressants for 4 seperate depressive episodes. I refused to use them for my last depression. I am in a much better place than I have been in my whole. Although I don’t want to be depressed again, I do not believe it is a disease. Maybe it's a natural response and your body trying to tell you something, hey what your doing isn't working.

  • I totally agree with you. You did leave out one thing. Spirituality. I'm not necessarily talking about organized religion, but being connected spiritually is important. I believe in exercising your body, stimulating ur brain and feeding your soul.

  • There's also unshared secrets some people have that build up inside. Without talking about these feelings and thoughts, they produce depression in the person.

  • Umm Hello! I think everyone that is watching this should hear me. I get paid by your tax money because I have major depression. not just depression. but (Major Depression) Check out my video's MAYBE2243

  • That look you gave "anti-depressant drugs" was just scathing and hilarious!! LOL

I do like Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, but do you think that it's always true? I think you can be self-actualized without always completely satisfying the other parts of the pyramid. While over a long period of time it might be hard or even impossible, some of the best people who were concerned with/wrote about/strove for the "higher good" were hungry, sleep-deprived, in times of peril, etc. What are your thoughts?

  • psychiatry as itself is a complete fraud.

its obviously, but in our society where common sense is completley gone, is everything possible.

  • Your tits dropped my depression ;D

  • @spamsucksdick

Racism is the belief that there are inherent differences in people's traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race, however defined, and that, as a consequence, racial discrimination (i.e. different treatment of those people, both socially and legally) is justified.

Why wouldnt you listen to me ?

Looks like youre OWNED WHORE !

  • I think that a depressed person have little activity in the brain, compared with a person without depression. I saw that in a book called "change your brain change your life".

  • Great Video! But a Have a question? If depression isn't a disease because isn't proved by some biomarkers, so what is TOC, schizophrenia and other disorders?

Thanks and Keep the good Work!

  • The body is an electro chemical system, radiation from phones, wifi, phone masts etc, food and pharmaceutical drugs, are effecting our electro chemical balance. I think people are being anxious and unhappy because society is constantly telling people they are not good enough, emotional changes in our electro chemical balance will cause sickness and vice versa. The negative energy all these things create can also cause unhappiness like a catch 22 situation.

  • 2:39 And then the make a ton of cash

  • These videos are misleading. There are various causes for depression, and the fact of the matter is that when someone is feeling depressed, their brain chemisty is different from when they are feeling normal. That's what is meant by saying that depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. It's a fact. How the chemical imbalance got to be that way is another issue.

  • @VitalSigns1 - There are of course biochemical neural correlates for our experience of depression, but the question is are they the cause or the effect of depression?

Depression can come from a feeling of helplessness of the condition of your life versus what you think it should be. You can get around that by learning to be more effective in achieving goals, or in finding other sources of joy in your life.

  • @njimko23 Let me make it more clear to you: First, what happens is that some circumstances in one's life or perhaps one's inability to handle life makes them feel down. Then, their brain chemistry starts to change. Then, they get depressed. The original cause was not an altered brain chemistry. The original cause was problems in their life. BUT, the feelings of depression come to them because of their brain. That's all that is meant by saying it's a chemical imbalance.

  • Sedentary life is a major factor for depression - doing excercise, dancing, doing sports all boost endorphins in the brain and would improve your mood immediately. These activities will also energize you and improve your fitness, your body self-image, thus imrpoving confidence in a social setting and promote general health and well-being. You will lose weight and become sexy, and sexy people aren't depressed:P Prescription drugs will fry your brain and turn you into a pathetic whining junkie =)

  • What about when the person is too sad and that affects his/her life's daily activities?

  • Great video!

  • How about the Spiritual side of Humans. We are focus only in the material world and forget our Spirituality as Humans. That's affecting some people more than others! We have a culture that only believes on taking drugs to cure!

  • Psychiatrists prescribe drugs without ever doing any blood tests. The system that we are born into is what causes us to feel sad. Its normal for slaves to feel this way.

  • depression and major depression are two different diagnosis. I am on SSI for Major depression

  • Disprove this- the most effective form of treatment for many psychological disorders (including depression) is a combination of therapy and medication. So if depression was strictly environmental therapy would be as effective alone as when combined with psychotropics.

  • Just stop masturbating and take Kung fu and yoga and you will not be "Depressed" whatever that means.

  • nowadays they want to make you think that if you have your own thoughts your mentally ill. just look at everything. add, depression, did, mpd some people just think alot. i know alot dont but some do and that doesnt make them crazy in any way really

  • @diviz0r Oh yeah you are right! Even if you have a very intelligent and direct way of talking they will diagnose you with Asperger's syndrome! Pure evil.

  • @diviz0r If you do not want a dictatorship defining what your needs and wants are then you-are being intolerant of the feelings of Fascists.

  • @brentpieczynski ahh snap so im psychotic cuz i think and intolerant because its "different" :( haha

  • Many thanks, excellent presentation, look forward to more discussion on depression

  • People responding here need to realize that depression IS NOT "feeling sad". Yes everyone feels sad. Depression goes way beyond that and if you haven't experienced REAL depression then you have NO IDEA.

  • @MasterLulzington i've always wanted to say this, here it goes:

    "i agree with you completely"

  • Depression is caused by one thing, what an individual chooses to focus there mind on from moment to moment. It's the ONLY control we really have and if you focus on things you can't control you will be depressed if you focus on things you can control you'll feel empowered.

  • Whatever happened to Rachel?

  • believing it is a chem. imbalance is to believe that a large percentage of mainly Americans are all of a sudden born genetically defective. Sure there are plenty of people born with genetic problems, but not to the level that companies would like us to believe. It's kind of like believing that homosexuality is purely genetic. Sure there are a small percentage who may be born gay, but certainly 10 - 20 percent of people are not born gay. It's amazing what people will believe today.

  • The only way to fix it is to exercise, participate in healthy and supportive social relationships, eat foods that promote dopamine production/balance and practice positive affirmations to re-wire your brain for "healthy risks" instead of "fear and isolation." When I do activities that increase my dopamine levels like take drugs, exercise, or socialize, I get the dopamine boost and life feels beautiful and "like it should," and like it seems to feel for *everybody else*. The depress/anx disapear

  • @h2valex i agree. no the pharmaceuticals such as prozac.

  • increased eating, lack of motivation and feelings of "not fitting in". I believe the brain re-structures itself to react to whatever environment you find yourself in. If you are well supported your brain will allow you plenty of dopamine so you can be outgoing, feel safe and supported, take healthy risks, eat less, etc. I believe that being in such a fearful state throughout my teen years caused my brain to wire for fear. This is the cause of my social anxiety/depression -cont>>

  • This is how I see it: As a child and adolescent I bullied myself internally for being homosexual. I was ultra paranoid that someone would find out and that everyone would hate me and want to hurt me. After years of paranoia and shame and fear, my mind became wired for introversion in order to keep me safe. My default dopamine levels dropped to prevent me from being more outgoing than would be safe in my perceived environment. Lowered dopamine levels result in social anxiety, depression,-cont>>

  • another fine voice of reason. rare indeed. thumbs up.

  • I challenge you to see the people that I see. I won't argue that a minor degree of depression isn't normal, but long-term and severe depression simply cannot be dismissed as environmental. Environment can certainly play a role in depression, but to dismiss the entire DSM and field of psychiatry on the grouds that depression is environmental is simply uneducated and you clearly need to spend more time on the research.

  • FAB-U-LOUS. Thank you.

I highly recommend the books "Listening to Depression" by Lara Honos-Webb, and "Healing Through the Dark Emotions" by Miriam Greenspan for anyone looking for new, non-medical ways of understanding, normalizing, and managing their experience with painful emotions.

  • ps: These drugs, contrary to advertisement, are HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!

So-called 'discontinuation symptoms' are WITHDRAWALS, obviously.

Most of these drugs are more addictive than HEROIN; people get off heroin.

  • Hmm, manic depression is a valid term, BUT, i'm sure that depression does consist of normal feelings.

  • Depression~loneliness.

  • with that person, I payed nothing, she was a fantastic new friend

  • (sorry for my english)

I had a depression and people looked for me the best doctor in the contry. He saw me and said that I had depression and with 4 sesions a week (in groups and alone) in 6 to 12 mouths I "could" get better and "cured", If not I woul spent more time there. That would cost my family a fortune, and I felt even worst, 1hour were 120-160€ +-170 dolars in the time, sesions could last 3h.

I was "cured" in 1 mouth, by just talking with someone... and did Reiki session too

  • If depression is a normal human emotion, then the implication is that it's no different from sadness. But isn't there something to be said for the depth and degree of depression? My understanding was that people who have been diagnosed by a mental health professional as depressed are not capable of snapping out of it by doing or thinking things to make themselves happy again, as people with "normal" sadness do.

  • @benvolio15 "people who have been diagnosed by a mental health professional as depressed are not capable of snapping out of it by doing or thinking things to make themselves happy again, as people with "normal" sadness do."

Mental health professionals are loath to point out how we are the very CAUSE of our 'major depression' and anxieties; breakthroughs in this area are what stops their weekly appointments.

There is a conflict of interest as with glasses which could be made obsolete.

  • @benvolio15 You are exactly right. I am diagnosed with severe depression and PTSD and "feeling sad" is nothing near what I have gone through. If you're sad you don't slice yourself open and wake up in a mental facility ICU.

And guess what guys, I went though 4 therapists and hours of psychotherapy and my depression worsened. When they found the right cocktail of drugs I got better. I've been on that cocktail for years now and my life is hugely improved. Thank goodness for science.

  • The human brain is so complex that it has never been remotely quantified or understood in my opinion. Some people are able to walk and talk relatively "normally", these same people may commit horrendous crimes, so apparently for some reason their brain told them to do this. Other people don't do these things. Drugs affect brain activity clearly, sometimes for better other times not. Certainly, the brain controls nearly everything about a person, one way or another.

  • nature Vs nurture

  • "anti-depressant drugs appear to work in some patients, but it isn't clear how..."

Is medical research really this incompetent and up it's own ass? A bunch of Ph D's can't figure out that these drugs make people high and that's why they are in a better mood?

You don't need double-blind experiments and clinical trials to figure out that getting people high is going to make them feel better.

Psychiatrists universally have chronic head-up-ass disorder.

  • I believe i have depression, and its hard to differentiate between its causes and its symptoms. For example, i also have social anxiety disorder, but i know this is one of the causes of my depression but also, being depressed can lead to hiding yourself away from society and being afraid to communicate with people

I also believe that depression is caused from negative thinking. If we tend to focus on the bad aspects of certain event s in our lives, our minds become fixated in thinking that way.

  • society is the cause of depression

  • @LobsterPotsticker Mmmmm, we create society bro. I think a section of society dont cope well with the dominant "culture", the structure that tries to be all inclusive does not cater for everyone. I find people, in general, pretty insincere, desensitized, thoughtless and impulsive in my society. This effects me but not to the same extent as others. I see society as just an array of characters of different proportion that try to merge but there will always be a section that dont fit in.

  • @LobsterPotsticker i want to blow up society

  • and then lickety lick that vagine
