it all takes time how do you think the automatic wepon was created through time and trial all of this that you see is just prototypes and just a glimpse of the future of what could be. mabye you and i will be long gone. before we make a real life super soldier that can lift a car and move a 40 miles per hour but it all takes time. to get there.

Many of the weapon accessories can be made pretty light. As far I know the it's just a matter of battery power. However most of the systems in the video aren't even prototypes. They are non working models of idea's that have yet to even be on the drawing board.

yes i know about the battery power, they plan on having a hydrogen fuel cells in later years, but like i was saying that ya all u have to do is get shot there or fall over and BOOM it breaks your fked

@choas1211 That sure is a liability. What good is million (possibly billion) dollar suit of armor if some goat herder with a hand held firearm can take you out? The issue of weight really begs the question of whether not powered armor is feasible at this or any other point in time. The deal with armor is that guns are always getting better a defeating it.

@choas1211 It may be that the soldier of the future carries a fuel cell but only to power his gun. Armor might be useless because guns are too powerful. In that case I wonder if a having a big explosive battery on your back would be that much of liability. Maybe one hit and your fucked anyway.

@TheWizardTrembyle wat i mean is not the weapon but they will have stuff like u see on this video except a hell of alot better, more like a suit, they want it to be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell that will last about a week, with back up systems and the works

the gun they want it to be cheap, powerful, lightwait and realiable, using caseless rounds

this like u said is just a prototype, and the suit will be bulletproof 100% so a goat herder wont be able to kill them very easly if at all

@choas1211 I'm saying that by the time an armored suit is developed guns may have become too powerful to be stopped by armor. Right now the U.S. Navy as a magnetic accelerator (railgun) that offers missile like performance in smaller and cheaper package. When a Starship Trooper (the novel version) is finally walking around it IS likely a goat herder with a hand held magnetic accelerator with be able to shut him down.

I think we can both agree that powered armor in is beyond to realm of possibility with current and near future technology. It's odd that most people see this stuff in video games and think that some real-world military has it but it's being kept secret. I'm sure you've seen Raytheon's exoskeleton. Most people are awed by video of it lifting a bowling ball and clomping around at geologically slow pace. I'll be impressed when I don't see two inch thick cables coming out the back of it.

this stuff does look good but look at it, it all really looks like toys and i bet they can be broken just as easy, looks so fragile and like some ppl have said, some of those things must weigh more then the gun it self

@Leemano1 same im a army caddet and won 3 Competitions and im only 13! i use the aw50 and it packs a punch. look on my channel i will soon upload a vid of my army gear (not caddet stuff). i got lotsa cool stuff

@Leemano1 You should try target shooting before you say that. Most of a sniper's job is hitting targets at varying distances in less than ideal conditions. It's difficult work to say the least and it takes a great deal of training to become good at.
