Is there a way to get a good quality CD of this live performance???? I've always loved Shooting Star since I was a teen, but know so little about them! Anyone with info, stop by my site, Statue Marvels. Just add some Ws to the front and a dot com to the back. In the music section, I started a Shooting Star thread.

Gary West: Monumental underachiever. Not sure what happened to him but he had the "IT" Factor. No doubt the band tanked after he left.

Not sure why you refer to Gary as a "monumental underachiever." He fully developed his talent & was a very accomplished songwriter & musician and "achieved" just fine. "Monumentally under-appreciated" would be more like it. It's not his fault the music industry was as pathetic as it was in the mid-'80s. Contrived, formula rock was at its height and every band was under pressure from their record company to play the game for big money. Gary didn't want to compromise so he left.

OMG!!! They sounded better that the studio recording. Gary West is my favorite singer. With Van and Charles Waltz singing background it was the perfect combination....Thanks for posting
