Well....you know how it is with bats : people either Love them or Hate them, I suppose.

I know I wouldn't want to touch one, because they carry rabies.

In High school, a bat flew down from the Gym ceiling and bit a girl I knew on top of the head. And she had to get a series of 16 rabies shots.

But I still think they're kinda cute. lol. :c)

Want to know a secret? I adore bats. I think they're just so cute. During the summer months they fly outside our yard at night. This past summer I saved a bat that was entangled in our volley ball net. Poor thing had been struggling for hours to free itself. I put on heavy gloves, gave it a slice of fruit and carefully untangled it. What a chore that was because their wings are so fragile. It gathered it's strength for about 5 minutes, then flew away. And that is my bat story. <3 Ambriel

Yep, this vid is BATTYLICIOUS my dear Helen,....luvin' the Vibes, phantum of the opera type,....as ugly and fierce lookin' bats may be, they're really an important part of the ecosystem,....insect eaters keep harmful insects at bay, nectar eaters help pollinate flowers that give fruit for other critters to enjoy, includin' us humans and well, the really spooky ones are the vampire bats,...lol....but, good thing they're nocturnal,..thumbs up to ya sweetie and thankin' dear Margo for sharin'! = )

As a child, people used to say that bat's would fly down and try and make a nest in people's hair!

But Now I know they don't make nests.

They hang upside down to sleep.
