As a skydiver myself, BASE jumping is much more extreme than skydiving. You are jumping much lower than where you would normally pull your parachute on a skydive, and the injury rate is much, much higher than that of skydiving.

The only reason that it looked fake was because the seemingly good video quality, when in fact, the camera wasn't able to track properly, consequently, distorting the skydiver, and more specifically the color orange. You can see the errors with the video after the skydiver lands and the camera is spazzing out the parachute cause it's orange and also the mountain range in the back as well. It's real.

2. The description from the author is vague, and the video is from some unknown third party source.

3. The video is very short and the poster makes no attempt to show more footage of the jump to prove its authenticity. The video person would have surely captured more flight prior to opening and prob more after landing. Also, there is no sound.
