Actually the entire idea began in japan 1979 for the show: "Kasou Taishou" put that title in the search bar and you will see amazing skits from 1979 to 2008 including mario bros form the 1990's way befor the college performance etc...

We did this talent show, called the Golden Goose, by class, with representatives from each class level, freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors all competing for the grand prize.
