I have all total wars up from Rome, and I think empire is my favorite. I'm familiar with the time era, which makes it more fun for me. Shogun 2 was a bit of a letdown to me, and Napoleon don't work on my PC (played on my dads laptop until I got my pc set up) my fav is empire, then Napoleon, then shogun and Rome are tied, but ifi had to choose, it'd be shogun..

Man, just ordered a copy of this, i really enjoyed medieval total war, i prefer the simple versions if this, cutting away all the fat, but leaving you with epic battles and simplified management.

This was the game that I played the longest after the Baldur's Gate series.

I had the good sense to extract the sounds of the game and now use some of them as Windows-action sounds or ringtones.

The Total War series owes its success to this first masterpiece. And if truth be told, none of the sequels came close to the be enjoyed as much as this first game.
