porque 9500 no esta hecha para procesar physx, esta equipado con cuda pero solo si la placa esta dedicada al procesamiento de fisica, si la usas para graficos y fisica necesitas al menos 9600gt ddr3

I have a problem.. someone could solve it? I have installed the physx mod for ut3 and since then every game I play it appears that f**** overlay that says "Physx - CPU" or "Physx - GPU"

How can i take it away?

I do doubt that,unless u don`t have the latest patch which adds some new effects and stuff.And even then sounds impossible too me.I had 2x8600gt`s in SLI and had 60-100 fps without physx.

Yeh hes lying I have a gaming pc which I use mainly for ut3, and I have a powerful media pc which I use for my job, which has a 512mb 8400gs, (as an 8400gs is really a card for media solutions) as a test once I put unreal tournament 3 on it and it barly plays at 20 fps at high settings, max settings was like a slide show...

yea the nvidia 8400GS is pretty weak. I had the X1600 Pro which probably did a bit better being equal to the 6600GT did it okay @ 1280*1024 maxed. 30 fps. My 9600GT maxes 1680*1050 @ 60 fps.

You can use a 8800 as a stand alone Physx unit only problem is you have to con figure the drivers on both parts to agree with each other.

im using a 9800GTX/GTX+

and a Nvidia 8600GT running physx under stand alone,its not sli-ed.

Thank you all for the comments and ratings, The patch may not be that useful yet and it will slow down your frame rates a little bit but overall i think the new physx levels are very fun and they look great. I do hope in the future to get a better graphics card and designate the 8800gt as a physx only card. I hope that by then there will be many more games that take advantage of a PPU.

Erm I'm not sure how that works, but the 8800 has a small physx engine in it... it probably wouldn't do much physx wise...

an 8800 has too much processing power for just physx. It would handle any physx calcs the game would throw at it.

I have a 9800GTX+ run video and a 8600 GT run physx and it is plenty for CRYSIS on max settings.

in order to run both an ati card and a nvidia card you would need to install two different graphics drivers. i don't believe you can do that in vista but i think it might be doable with xp.

Actually the feature to run a NVIDIA and an ATI Video Card on one system is nowadays possible.

Only thing you need is a motherboard supporting the feature.

If im not wrong MSI is the first vendor/developer this feature.

Just look for an Board caled fusn or fusion ... im not pretty sure what it was.

This amazes me o.o. I'm trying to run this game now on my Nvidia GrForce 6150SE Nforce 430 GFX card. Also... I have a duel core X2 2 processors running at 2.6 GHZ. I'm donwloading it now, I hope it will work good ^^. I do have physics installed but no physics processor. So it's just regular physics.

Urm, why is everyone saying ohhh, I used that mod but it just annoyed me so I took it off. It's not really a mod, even then it only effects the physx maps. It would be easier to just not play the physx maps. It's more likely they just don't have the hardware to run it lol

I get borderline playable framerates (high teens low 20s) with two 8800GTXs and an A64 X2 6400+ on this map at 1920x1200 everything maxed.

On the same map minus the PhysX, I get in the 70s or the 80s.

Not exactly encouraging. But maybe I'll play with this some.

I tried disabling SLI and dedicating one card to PhysX alone and the results were slightly better.

The notes also mention disabling "framerate smoothing"....I might try that to see if improves fps.
