I actually recorded this version using the original music composed by Purcell in 1694, and listening to the variations on the film soundtrack. Since then I discovered scans of the published film soundtrack which is indeed extremely rare, but I've yet to find a printed copy:) DeniseX

It would take my breath away, too, to play this piece so remarkably. I am recently introduced to the music of Purcell by way of looking for a piece in D minor to perform for my Piano (second semester) D minor test. I chose "Air in D minor". Now I've come to find a couple of favorite songs of mine, "The Cold Song" (King Arthur) and this song, are also Purcell's work. But I love this adaptation and I'd love to get my hands on the solo keyboard sheet music for it.

@mrdropkicker1 - There are several contenders for the meaning of the book & film title of which the top two are: (1) "As Queer as a Clockwork Orange" - which the author - Anthony Burgess claimed was London cockney slang, and (2) In Malaysian - "Orang" means "man" - hence "A Clockwork "Man". @mrdropkicker1 The term Clockwork Orange refers to forcing someone to act as an automaton as opposed to behaving naturally . Alex , the book's humble narrator , is subjected to the Ludovico technique which renders Alex unable to respond as he normally would with violence . Aka, something organic that acts mechanical.

The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.
