Whoever directed this movie obviously didn't know much about star trek because the original Kirk didn't even know how to drive a car. This scene was obviously just created to try to make star trek look cool for younger generations of people who are impressed by expensive cars. Star Trek already was cool, there's no need for this pointless scene.

ahh had never seen this scene before, its not in the UK release! agree with the cut, doesn't really add much to the film. And the editing transition from the Star Trek logo to the car is much better.
