Zsnes: Rewinds and Save states

You have to type it yourself, find your folder and type it like this:

C:\Users\end user\Saved Games\Zsnes\Saves

*Not exactly like that, of course

That could be most likely a problem with the hack itself and not with zsnes, have you applied any patches to your rom or something by that style? (Custom music, blocks, ASM, xkas, etc) Cause if so, something could have gone wrong.

But if not, try to re-install Zsnes.

I use a 360 controller and the button for my rewinds...It doesn't stick but it uses multiple rewinds at once...Can I stop that any way?

You may be interested on use this program called "Xpadder" it helps to map your controller. I really recommend it.

Your game is probably corrupted (If you patch a hack on a SMW rom, probably your rom was altered before)

@SuperG838 Nevermind i think i figured it out...try going to config>paths> and make sure there is nothing typed in any of the boxes...then go to misc>save cfg then save a state and it should say state 1 saved depending on wat slot u put it in. close zsnes and reopen in and try to load the same slot see if that works...

I was hoping you might be able to help me out. I can save the games as you're doing but only temporarily. As soon as I completely exit out of the program it wipes my save so when I load my rom back up I have to start from the beginning.

Check your save state config

For that open zsnes, then go to config, then saves.

You'll see ''state shortcuts'' on the bottom of the window. Make sure your states match to your style. The defaults are:

Save: F2 - Load: F3 - Pick: F4

Load will, load the current save state (0 being the default) Mess around until you fix your problem, it could be that you set to load an specific Save

ok so lets say i have 3 save states saved. when i want to go back to one, i press f4. what do i press to load a different save state, seeing as though f4 only does the last save?

F4 loads the state, but if you close ZSNES and then open it again, it will load the 1st state, you have to choose your state (F3) and press F4

Every game have his own save states, so, every game have its own 9 (Or more) save states.

Copy and paste. Copy all the path, and then on zsnes press Ctrl+V to paste the path correctly.

The save and load states really got to me too ryemaster. This is how you do it.

Open it up, go to PATHS now in the frist box type:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\My Documents

This should work perfectly. Note however. You can type in anything. Anything should work because the znes loads this information each time you save. so just make sure to type it in and it should work for you too. Have Fun! and play save(lol)

To Edit on my last comment. I prob should be more clear, The C:\Documents Documents Will save it directly into your docs. But you can make a new folder into your docs and just add the name of the folder to the end of the pathway. That will save it into the folder you typed. Hope this works for you.

So remember

config

paths

type in the place where you want to save

f3 to open up the pathways

f2 to save

f4 to load.

Like i said before, put a path for the save states, this will tell zsnes what folder should check for states and save them.

First open zsnes, go to Config, then paths and set one for saves.

Maybe it's the pause button, it pause everything including the emulator itself.

To program a key, go to config and then speed. I guess that the default key is P
