@michel9017 Well, I'm a professional jazz musician (clarinet and trombone). I've been playing, among other, with Woody Allen himself, we have a very good friendship, and the first two books that I wrote were about Woody Allen as a musician ("Woody Allen & Jazz" and "That Old Feeling"). And of course, I talk.
@albertsystem =))), well in that case is an honor to meet you!, i'm 20 and my experience is poor, but my life is on the music, and i'm getting big progresses with the guitar in a little periods of time. I like all kinds of music, you see, i'm a guitarrist in a rock band, and seeing The New Orleans Jazz Band jajaj. Congratulations for your other comments, and sorry for my english, i'm spanish ;). Greetings, and nice to meet you again! :)
Oh f***....is not a problem with audiences...is a problem with Woody Allen..is the worst musician i ever seen, but is Woody Allen!!! so maybe i'm wrong....is the best!!
Just a question: Louis Armstrong was a good singer? - Well, his voice was the worst voice to sing, technically was horrible, but he reached our hearts by other ways: Warmness, soul... nobody nows.
Woody hasn't the clarinet technique but in spite of it he try, as Armstrong did, to reach our hearts by other ways.
One more thing, Woody doesn't want to be like Benny Goodman, he try to follow the George Lewis steps.
Then, look for George Lewis on Youtube and you'll have a surprise.
@albertsystem Woody Allen is only having fun speaking through an instrument, which is a pleasure that I recommend to everyone. In addition, we often speak lightly, but get your in a band like this and be capable of soloing as well, and then talk. It takes work, and we are not disposed to belittle anyone. We can only say if we like it or not. I personally love this band.

I don't understand the comment of pearleking! He must be an expert to do such qualifications, or perhaps, I guess, he is only a dupe, pretending to mask is ignorance with pretentious offensive qualifications!
You don't need to be 'expert' to know when audiences are talking and laughing rather than listening to the efforts being made by musicians. In Spain it's a way of life, and it seems that Portugal is even worse. Perhaps it's just an 'Iberian thing'?
Yes is an Iberian thing, I live in Barcelona and here everybody talks and laugh everywhere, in the subway, stores, pharmacy, even elevators! I can't understand why, maybe because we eat a lot of "jamon" and drink "wine". There are people who sometimes even dance flamenco on rare places as Christian Banks or helicopters... In other places like USA people do rare things too like selling weapons everybody or just talk one language. Every country has its typical things, isn't it?
bardzo fajna muzyczka

Pity that Portuguese audiences are as rude and inattentive as Spanish ones....
but Woody still carries the flag and Eddy doesn't lose any weight, either!

Why dont u come back to your sunny home, instead of living in the "rude" Spain?

Woody changed his style a bit. He's got more Steve Angrum in his clarinet sound and gives out with more swing and drive.
