your the idiot! you can exercise in pretty much anyway shape or form when your pregnant...as long as your pregnancy is normal and healthy. Read a book.
The books you are refering to don't call this exercise lol Exerscise any way you want you say ? You obviously shouldn't do sit ups while pregnant,.. Your temperature cannot rise too high (I forget the exact number) as the baby inside cannot sweat to cool itself like we can so if you are hot or sweating you are cooking your baby. (They warn mothers in gental arobics classes) So also obviously no hot baths or extended hot showers, Whos the idiot now Lex ?
Dancing is considered an aerobic exercise, and about the whole temperature thing, its called a fever, you don't want a fever when your preggo and I'm pretty sure people don't get fevers on the regular from exercising. So do a lil jij and gig in a leotard for three minutes isn't going to kill that baby. I would be a lil bit more concerned if the dance took place in the middle of the desert. So no I'm not the idiot, I'm actually preggo myself and ask my doc ALOT of questions.
That's not not part of most aerobics classes Your doc sux if he doesnt know that regular exercise needs to be modified during pregnancy & if he thinks its as simple as a fever although most docs wont' tell you this. They dont tend to learn much about exercise, they dont usually even tell women how much smoking & drinking increases risk of imiscarriage or serious deffects for the baby or give info pamphlets on it even now. I have 3 in my family, 1 is a specialist. I studied exercise science.
Use recommended types of exercise: Recommended exercises include low-impact activities like swimming, walking, stationary cycling, stretching and resistance training.
Avoid jerky, ballistic, bouncy and extreme range of motion movements: Balance and hormonal changes during pregnancy make activities with these types of movements higher risk.
While everyone knows that breathing is a vital part of exercising, you will be surprised how many people hold their breaths! This is dangerous if you are pregnant and you will need to make sure that you are very conscious of your breathing patterns. As you progress in your pregnancy, reduce the exercises that require you to lay flat on your back. Completely avoid any exercises that necessitate your laying on your belly. Dangerous forms of exercise to also stay away from are squats.
I don't think it's good to be drinking while ur pregnant..:D

Stupid, you're probably scaring your baby to death, would feel like an earthquake or tumble dryer in there now, some women are so dumb !
