Capitalism WAS intentionally designed to maintain a class system.
Capitalism DOES siphon money to the top
Capitalism DOES exploit workers
What are the Free Market alternatives? There are many, that you do not know them only proves how much information has been deliberately kept from you.
@rndmthrfkr Now it's a full blown oligarchy, and everyone's starting to see it.
What they aren't starting to see is that this is the natural function of Capitalism, this is what Capitalism was DESIGNED to do. To empower the rich, to keep the poor in service of the rich, to maintain a ruling class. Alexander Hamilton wanted all of these things when he argued for Capitalism, he stated it in his arguments.
Americans are so brain washed that they think that the Free Market is Capitalism
Trying to reform capitalism through progressive taxation, bailouts etc seems similar to trying to cover a severed limb with a band aid. Media heads rant on and on about irresponsible homeowners defaulting on their mortgages being one of the sole causes of the current economic nightmare, yet refuse to comment on what I believe to be at the heart of the problem. Profit.
worse still, the current economic break-down is rationalized in terms of individual virtue or vice. the crisis is instead explained as a thing from exceptional, decontextualized greed and not stemming from 30 years of financial deregulation, privatization slashing public institutions and the dominance of global capital which systemically rewards selfishness, greed and an ethic of power and control.
Capitalism = Rent-a-Slave
Capitalism is NOT the free market.
Capitalism WAS intentionally designed to maintain a class system.
Capitalism DOES siphon money to the top

Got to love how people think that what we've had for the last 100 years is actual capitalism.
You're missing a word.
