So you can do cardio as much as you want you just need to make sure you eat a lot of food as well. @Slaterking2010 You'll need to to do at least 3 sets of 15 cruches, every 3 to 5 days so your abs are more noticable. Add an hour of simple jogging and dump the hot cheetos.
@Slaterking2010 is not possible because with cardio your body burns muscle as well, so if you only do cardio, you're gonna burn up the abs you have left.

I found the best way to cut down and see my abs while putting on some muscle was to do sets of 100m and 200m sprint intervals followed by some ab work twice a week. Sounds weird how it's no cardio but it really gets the heart rate up (burns fat) and you'll be sore as the next day in the abs and ass (build muscle)

6 pack abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym. Don't listen to this guy. You can do 1000s of crunches or w/e workout and you still won't get a 6 pack. You have to lower your total bodyfat in order to reveal the abs. I'm talking about a 12 or 11 % bodyfat which is where you start to see abs. Your body doesn't lose fat where you work it out...

@13xo4life nah its cool man. As for definition you can train your transverse adominis, this muscle is located behind the rectus adominis 'the six pack'. Doing when tensing you will suck in all the other tissue around your rectus adominis leaving just the abs showing. It is difficult to isolate the muscle but you can suck in your stomach and hold for say 30 seconds and push out per set. Strengthening the tranverse adominis will make your abs stick out.
for god sake. it is simple: workout to build ab muscle, using high weight instead of high rep. and burn bodyfat to about 10%.
i really think people over complicate things too much. the body is an amazing machine and it will adapt (build muscle) with the right stimulus and nutrition. simple.
and this guy.... well, he is a bit of a con to be fair. most pro bodybuilders will go against his advice.

good stuff. one of the biggest lies of the phony ab machine ads is that spot-reduction of fat is a reality. it ain't so. you first gotta burn the fat atop the ab muscles, which actually means burning the fat throughout your entire body. the stored belly fat is the last to go. only then would the ab machines help to define the ab muscles. the only ab "machine" i use is the ab wheel. and it's actually a simple machine quite literally.

Like it or not, cardio and good nutrition are crucial to getting down to the low body fat percentage that's needed to get your abs to show.
""Regular"" cardio isn't as bad as he's making it out to be, but High Intensity Interval Training IS better.

@G00n3r4Life i know my fat % because i go to the gym and i get tested every few months. i just tested it today and it was 7.3%. dnt believe me?? why the hell would i lie about not having abs wouldnt the better lie be saying i do have abs. my abs work out is kinda hard to say seeing as i do full body work outs and train everything. im guna start training more abs workouts now n see if i get anywhere

@13xo4life nah its cool man. As for definition you can train your transverse adominis, this muscle is located behind the rectus adominis 'the six pack'. Doing when tensing you will suck in all the other tissue around your rectus adominis leaving just the abs showing. It is difficult to isolate the muscle but you can suck in your stomach and hold for say 30 seconds and push out per set. Strengthening the tranverse adominis will make your abs stick out.

for god sake. it is simple: workout to build ab muscle, using high weight instead of high rep. and burn bodyfat to about 10%.
i really think people over complicate things too much. the body is an amazing machine and it will adapt (build muscle) with the right stimulus and nutrition. simple.
and this guy.... well, he is a bit of a con to be fair. most pro bodybuilders will go against his advice.

hey,
im 15 years old, 5ft 10" tall and weigh around 11 and a half stone (72 kilos). i have a fair bit of muscle on me, however, i also have a bit of extra belly fat. these past few days i have been trying to eat well and go for runs every morning cos i want to get some definition on my abs, maybe even a six pack :P. does anyone have any info they can share or tips?

@tom125c To lose weight quick stop eating junk food, no soda, watch out for trans fats and sat fats, the magic pill, drink water and more importantly green tea(increases metabolism).Doing this I lost 35lbs in 3 months.I see kinda visible abs on my self but I got a hairy stomach : P.You do not get abs with those ab work outs.Its all in good nutrition and Cardiovascular exercises.

good stuff. one of the biggest lies of the phony ab machine ads is that spot-reduction of fat is a reality. it ain't so. you first gotta burn the fat atop the ab muscles, which actually means burning the fat throughout your entire body. the stored belly fat is the last to go. only then would the ab machines help to define the ab muscles. the only ab "machine" i use is the ab wheel. and it's actually a simple machine quite literally.

So.. this guy is ripped? agreed. but he tells you SO much bullshit. hes saying dont do cardio? or diet? because cardio makes you thin and diets make you fat? you have to be thin for any ab muscles to show first of all, and diets dont make you fat. i lol'd at that one. the magic pill and infomercials he talked about is true, thats bullshit. but you arent gonna get any abs by eating hot pockets and pizza rolls, which is depressing but i like scrambled egg whites. watch scooby1961, hes alot better
