  • how tall is the mast?

  • The rudder hydrofoil gives the boat 100 lbs of dynamic lift, is for both lift (upwind), and stability. Downwind in hairy conditions, it is eased off, allowing for a boat with less volume in the bow than would otherwise be designed and helping to reduce the frequency you go down the mine.

  • It's interesting that only the helmsman is ripped off the boat, when the boat tilts windwards. That's the same with me and my mate.

  • Are they rocking a hydrofoil?

  • yup!

  • @governor92 on the rudder yes, but not to lift but to keep the bow stabilized

  • wanna sell you boat?=)

  • this is why I sail

  • fuckin' a!

  • jesus christ the accelleration with the kite............. holy crap

  • shit thats awsum!! :)

  • sick boat would be a blast to race in

  • What is the name of this song?

  • Big Air in Toronto?

Wish it happened more often ...

    Nice Vid - well done!

    Nice Sailing too!

I think we might have convergent evolution going on here - with those wings the inter-14 is looking a lot more like the 49er.

Is that a foil underwater by the stern? The mast cam seems to show it ...

  • yeah, it keeps the stern down in big breeze i think...

  • well more the trim tab on the after part of the foil keeps the bow up down wind. prevents the crew from being air mailed around the forestay

  • look at the speedgaining ar 1:25 when the pull the gennaker

  • Nice! great vid!

  • Nice man! where did you mount the cam? I had mine mounted on the trap lines w/ mixed results
