  • In Ohio people are being laid off almost daily. Some factories have shut down till further notice,Alot of factories have extended xmas shutdowns. I have rentals and half of the tenants are laid off or can not find a job. Honda of America is working 3 days aweek. Some of there workers are seeking part time work. Everyone here are worried even the most stable persons. Seems like they are shutting this area down. Ohio needs a bailout to pay for un employment benifits.

  • I am seeing this in Upstate New York. I have a friend that works at a hand made Furniture factory. They laid off the entire town of 3,000 people 3 days before Thanksgiving. They haven't opened since. Like the weather, bad economic stats go from West to East. I predict that the "Storm" will hit the Northeast by February. G-d help us all.

  • Great post, keeps us updated on the east coast!

  • Yes it is. May the Creator of us all the Most High be with us in these times.

  • Amen,and Amen!

  • Maybe the Almighty might help with a little economic stimulus or maybe he is teaching his greedy creations a lesson or two.

  • Yes all things work for His purpose. I just hope the truely greedy are taught this lesson and not the ones who have always suffered.

  • Yes, pray for all of us. We will need it in the next few months.

  • My hubby did his shopping at a large mall here in Las Vegas and said how depressing it was to see about 25% of the stores closed and this was on Dec. 24th. I shopped only at one store and was surprised to see the lack of gift ideas it had compared to last year. We didn't spend much this year only for needed things. Thanks for the update.

  • Yeah, I went to Circuit City to look for a Camera, and all the sales people had to sell was Returned Merchandise! They didn't even have it in the boxes. They were in Zip lock bags! It was like shopping out of a back of a truck! Scary.

  • I assume your sporting goods store doesn't sell firearms? If you did, I'm pretty sure your sales would be up; way up.

I guess you are in the NYC area, huh? Too bad... with your states problems (ie 2nd amendment restrictions, extreme welfare, major business hq failures, etc.) you guys are going to be hit the hardest from what is to come.

If I were you, I would move my sporting goods store to the midwest. Business is booming and shows little sign of slowing down.

  • Sorry friend. I sell running shoes and track and field equipment. Firearms is a definite no,no! I would be killed by my own merchandise! That is why I stick with sneakers. LOL!

  • Thanks KitKat

  • thx for the post

  • hey brotherman,

thanks for the update. yep the tightening of the belt is gonna get tighter. i only pray that the ron paul and peter schiff school of economics gains enough momentum to come to fruition.

    B'Shalom brotherman,

  • Here in Midlothian, TX we get huge shipments of cars in these country fields. (around 100 acres). These cars distribute all over Texas.

It's like a tariff free zone or something so car manufacturers can avoid taxes or something.

The fields are JAMMED full of new cars. They usually get only 1/2 full then the cars are gone in the next couple days.

Over the last month, barely any have shipped out and all 100 acres of tightly packed new vehicles are overflowing. "Field of Cars".

  • Yeah. I see used car lots by me have closed and gone out of business. I forsee more trouble ahead.

    Peace.

    K.K.

  • Thanks for posting. Sporting goods store, eh? I just went to a couple sporting goods stores in CA and I was pretty upset that their camping (emergency) section didn't have what I was looking for (emergency candles, lighting). Just an idea for you.

  • Sorry, Just running shoes and clothes. I get my camping stuff from a friend who owns a camping store. I know what you are going though.

    Peace.

    K.K.

  • Thanks for sharing bud. Important for people to ALL have courage to speak. 1st step to progess is awareness. Check out my vids ;) I like Keiser as well.

  • great vid thanks for the update

  • Humbling isn't it! It's getting very scary....

  • Not so much humbling as interesting. I owe no one anything. My business is not about stuff, so it will survive. I do shoe fitting primarily to Cardiac rehab patients and H.S. Track and Field. My friends laugh at me for getting out of Finance. Now, I am not laughing but, I am praying that we all make it through.

  • Humbling probably wasn't the right choice of words! I hope I didn't offend you. I really enjoy all of your videos!! At least you have a homestead to escape to if need be! My husbands entire family is relocating to the east coast from the west coast this week. CA is in big trouble. It is all very scary!! Thanks for responding.

  • No! I am not offended. I guess I should have specified in the video. I watched all your videos and they have been a true inspiration.

I know what you mean. My whole family have been estranged for some years now and we have been talking about moving into a closer location to be near economically speaking. It is going to be "Grapes of Wrath" in the U.S. in a few months. G-d Help us!
