  • Fat bastard

  • Republicans love being dicks. That's the quality they appreciate more than anything. That and not embracing any policy that takes more than 5 words to explain.

  • Wait a minute, you think Republicans are dicks? Democratic voters are the most miserable, hypocritical, mean spirited people I've ever met in my life. I'm not saying they are all like that and Republicans have theirs as well, but when it comes to Democratic policies and beliefs it's their way or nothing. You can't debate, you can't criticize, or question your party's policies or else you will be labeled. I'm not a kool aid drinker and always question what I see and hear by all our politicians.

  • @TheNochannelhere I'd say the same about Republicans, who have a persecution complex fostered by Fox News and are convinced that differing opinions are unamerican. Look at the rabid crowds in the GOP debates who cheer things like 234 Texas executions or letting uninsured die while booing a gay member of the military. Newt is a good example of someone in touch with this miserable and abrasive base who view vitriol as a virtue against anyone who disagrees as his #s in S.C. rise.

  • Screw Christie....regret supporting him. Coming from very conservative in favor of THE TEACHERS!!!!

  • Super FAT and Super Stressed out....lets keep feeding him big macs and antagonizing him.....then sit back and watch his fat ass have a stroke/ heart attack/seizure.....problem solved!

  • To the teach who said "teachers do it because they love it", don't complain about what you allow to happen. Your employer is the state and if the state doesn't to pay you then get another profession where you are valued.

  • I find it funny how Union and Democrats blame corporations and banks and say thats the real problem. Yes it is. So is Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan who were Obama's biggest contributer and bailed banks out and gave em cabinent jobs. Don't lecture us about how bad corporations are. Its in bed with your party too.Stand for the Middle Class?. Nope I only see it representing Unions, Athletes and Hollywood Celebrities.

  • Let's do some math..If 6,500 teachers have retired in 2010, and they all get FREE healthcare at $22,000 per family coverage PER year and they live at least 10 years after retirement, that's $1,430,000,000! And that's only for that crowd that retired! There are approx 88,000 public school teachers in NJ...do the similar math to understand how much NJ taxpayers are on the hook for...

  • Lying Corporate, Lobiest Tool, Drop Dead You Fat FuKKK!its the Teachers who are Breaking America, Not The FuKing Rich, Paying Their Fair Share, Lets Give Millionaires More Money,Way To Go Shamu!

  • @circusmaximus10 Can you please come up with something of substance. Since we already know you are a lying sack of shit. You have never negotiated any contract with anyone. It is very noticable in your clever responses. You sit at your laptop and write a bunch of "Rush" type comments to get everyone going. The only credit you deserve is for being a goof.

  • @inilledra Ya think, UNION HACK? You obviously only respond to whatever you are told by the union leaders. Just what have you ever done? What work do you do now? Oh wait-you must be one of those overstuffed PBA goons-illiterate that carries. Am I close?

  • @circusmaximus10 . I wonder how many six figure salaried governors, superintendents, politicians like ole Weiner, and county commissioners are willing to sacrifice their pensions like they are asking teachers to do?

  • @henryoil How is anyone asked to give their pensions? Learn the facts first

  • @inilledra Get some info before you shoot off your mouth, union schill

  • Chris Christie is just like the other 10 new Republican Governors who are waiting to see is Wisconsin's Walker can get away with this Bullshit. If Walker wins this thing, the other 10 are going to be right behind him. Too bad so many broke Repubican followers don't believe us when we tell them the house is burning down. You will go broke with the rest of us and STILL blame it on the Unions. Idiots beyond words.

  • cut cut cut...and if u dont like it bitch go work for mcdonalds selling the michelle happy meal

  • So this guy can't fix his state's economy, resorts to taking it out on teachers.

On several occasions teachers brought up this issue with him, and every single time he basically tells them, "why don't you quit." That's his answer to everything. Hey, Christie, "why don't YOU quit."

You got elected to be the smartest guy in the room and actually come up with clever solutions, yet he grabs the saw, starts cutting off limps, then turns around claiming, "you weigh less now, congratulations!"

  • @ninuxy "limps"? OMG So...how would YOU solve the problem of unions making HUGE pensions and lifetime benefits, when the private sector doesn't

  • @circusmaximus10 He is acting like he is running a private corporation. A CEO is hired, the company is in trouble, he fires 6,000 right off the bat, then puts $30 mil in his pocket, claims he has "balanced" the budget. No shit Sherlock!

There are no "huge" pensions and why is he telling teachers to "quit!" Who says that to people? He doesn't have an answer so he goes around clubbing people for his own shortcomings. He is a thug.

  • @ninuxy Benefits are costing the TAXPAYERS $24,000 PER retiree...Do the math...if you can

  • @circusmaximus10 I'm sorry, are you saying, for every teacher that retires, his/her pension is $24,000/year?

  • @ninuxy YES.......it is and they do NOT pay into it at all

  • @circusmaximus10 That's it? $2,000/month! Pfft!! Poor teachers.

  • @circusmaximus10 just wondering, is it 24,000 for all teachers? isent it based on what you were making when you retired?

  • @poopydoodie11 It is for ALL teachers-both active & retired. It's avg $2,000/month and might be lower if you only take single coverage...

  • @ninuxy That is in addition to their pensions as health benefits...for free!

  • @circusmaximus10 Is there a way we can verify all that? For NJ, that is not such a high pay pension, but it is a ok one in the south.

  • @ninuxy That is NOT the pension...Its the FREE healthcare they get. Pension is an entirely different thing...Read the statutes if you wish to verify

  • @TheFequalsMA How is it free? It is compensation for doing a job.

  • @MaudsPas FREE for life is NOT compensation., you dope

  • @circusmaximus10 I'm not sure I would call Medicare "free" people pay into it. You have never worked a day in your life have you?

    You are pathetic.

  • @circusmaximus10 You are aware that teachers pay taxes.......?

  • @MaudsPas Moron, are you aware that those taxes have nothing to do with the BIG pensions and FREE healthcare they get? Of course you know...you are one of the leeches

  • The problem is all these people blaming unions don't even know what a union does. They hear GOP talking points and regurgitate them on command.

Poverty is exploding and all these far right idiots want to cut education...?How about raising taxes on the rich people who caused the Great Recession.

  • @MaudsPas LOL-do educate us on what a union is...

  • @MaudsPas And exactly how did the rich people cause the recession?

  • @circusmaximus10 Right...it was the teachers who caused the recession... HAHAHA you clown.

Maybe if he hadn't vetoed the millionaires tax cut we wouldn't have stick it to the teachers or we would have enough funds to provide basic services like snow removal.

  • @MaudsPas Asshole, the teachers and other union goons get FREE healthcare...Obviously you are OK for them to rob the rest of us

  • @circusmaximus10 So teachers don't teach??? If you had ever had a job you would know that one thing you get in return for working is compensation. It comes in multiple forms, salary, health care, maternity leave, etc...

Listen you are never going to convince anyone that teachers are getting rich being public school teachers. Calling them leeches just makes you look like a spoiled brat. Grow up.

  • @MaudsPas How about the $22000 it costs PER YEAR that they do not pay into? Have you ever worked, or are you a teacher?

  • @circusmaximus10 That is BULL SHIT. How about a source on that buddy.

  • @MaudsPas State health benefits cost $22,000 for family coverage Per year...prove me wrong

  • @circusmaximus10 You just pulled the number out of your ass, the burden of proof is on you.

  • @MaudsPas State employees health benefits (SHBP) & SEHBP run $900 (single coverage) to $1190 (family coverage PER MONTH. Ask your mommy or better yet the personnel manager at your school. The taxpayers have to fork over the cash

  • @circusmaximus10 It's not free. It's called compensation for doing a job. Teachers don't just sit in their homes and collect a check every week, they get up, go to school, and they teach. It's called a job. When you get a job then you can come back and run your mouth.

  • @MaudsPas LMAO...that is NOT compensation...their salary is...the FREE health benefits are BENEFITS...get it yet, kid?

  • @circusmaximus10 You would be mistaken, which does not suprise me one bit. Have you ever sat in on negotiations??? I doubt it. I have. I have negotiated Labor Agreements for years. So, here is your lesson number one. Wages, Pensions and Health Insurance are all integeral parts of an Economic Package. Did you understand that. A package means Plural. More than one item. The negotiating committee has one number to work with (monetary) and they split that number 3 ways.

  • @inilledra Guess you are a union hack and may have " sat in " on negotiations but did not READ the contracts. These are separate issues that are NEGOTIABLE terms. I have negotiated PBA and Teamster contracts. These elements can and should be removed. LIFETIME FREE HEALTHCARE of overpaid cops and glorified janitors? Come on

  • @circusmaximus10 I went to your page and found your fat ass sitting at your kitchen table. You are a funny guy. Self Employed at home. I am happy for you, that you get to stay at home. YOU have never negotiated an Agreement anywhere. What you are is another Bill O'Reilly, except he makes more money than you do, sitting at home creating bullshit.

To say that Pensions and Healthcare Contributions are not Compensation would just go to show, that you have no clue what you are talking about. FATfuk

  • @inilledra And just what fine contracts have you "negotiated", you UNION HACK?

  • @circusmaximus10 lol ^.^

  • @MaudsPas Maybe if the leeches that belong to unions wouldn't feel so entitled....deadbeat

  • Wow, you complainers on this page have one thing in common. You all look to the Govt. to solve your real or perceived problems. Ok, I agree with all of you and now have a question. In the past week, it has rained a flood in L.A./Calif. with mudslides, 94 mile an hour winds, the works. The mid-west, tornadoes, snow, lots of dead people, East coast blizzard. Gee, where is Obama? In Hawaii right?

The whole Country engulfed in bad weather&he goes sunning. You guys can't even back ur own accusations

  • COMMENT FIGHT!!! V v V v V

    OH SH*T!

    IT'S GOIN DOWN!!

  • When will he go after the fat pay & pension that cops get??

  • what he should of said to wilson, is: this is the pay. if you dont like it, but you love teaching so much...you are welcome to do it for free! if people love things, and want to provide for others so much. then it should be a passion, and be willing to do it for free if need be.

  • @scalp340 someone cant live working 50-60 hours a week on a volunteer job.

  • @sidescrollin "someone cant live working 50-60 hours a week on a volunteer job"

Scalp340 was merely mentioning how Governor Christie should have replied to a teacher who claims insufficient pay yet indicates her motive for the job as passion.

If one were passionate for the work, the money shouldn't be a point to complain about, especially as the salary isn't as bad as she claims it is. Plus, that teacher likely has employment security on top of that, so her revenue stream may be stable.

  • @Watcher3223 I know and i was pointing out that even if it is your passion, if its an actual job people have to be able to live. so arguing that if its her passion she should willing to work for free is stupid because its not some sidejob on sundays at a homeless shelter, he suggested she could work 40-60 hrs per week for free which is retarded.

lol you know nothing about public school systems if you think being a teacher offers job security.

  • @sidescrollin "so arguing that if its her passion she should willing to work for free is stupid"

No, the point that you missed: you've got a job that pays well enough for you to be able to support yourself and every career has its ups and downs. STOP COMPLAINING AND DEAL WITH IT.

"you know nothing about public school systems if you think being a teacher offers job security."

Unless you are member of a teacher's union, which is the case with the New Jersey public education system.

  • @Watcher3223 How can u accuse me of missing a point when it is on a completely different subject i didn't comment on? Even if that comment was addressing the point you are talking about I didn't say anything on the subject to suggest i did or didnt understand it, just that its a stupid way to say "dont whine" because its stupid. also... 93% of the school districts in NJ said they will be making staff cuts do to Christie's budget cuts

  • @sidescrollin "How can u accuse me of missing a point when it is on a completely different subject i didn't comment on?"

What makes you think there was a deviation?

Maybe you should have considered that the assertion of a person working 50-60 hours for free was a point YOU inferred, not necessarily what Scalp340 was saying.

  • @Watcher3223 saying a teacher should work for free IS saying someone should work 50-60 hours for free.

  • @sidescrollin

"saying a teacher should work for free IS saying someone should work 50-60 hours for free"

Either way, it's a way to tell to the teacher how things stand; there is no chance for a raise because of budgetary limits.

If you don't like the pay, QUIT. But if you don't want to quit because you find passion for the work, then you can choose to volunteer or accept the pay as it is. THAT was the point!

  • @sidescrollin

Whether it be working for free or quitting, the point is that the options are limited to either getting paid at the current level or not getting anything at all (whether it be working voluntarily or, in context of the teacher's discontent with the pay, quitting).

The budget likely can't afford raises, possibly due to reduced tax revenue that is likely a result of the recession. With reduced tax revenue must come budgetary cuts to mitigate a deficit.

  • @Watcher3223 those are not the only 2 options...as an increase in pay when proved to be justified is also one. Now im not addressing the case in this video just stating that is another option. no shit the budget cant afford raises. Part of Christies budget plan is to take away 820 million dollars from the school districts hence the cut in staffing i mentioned before addressing her job security. So lets not pay educators because the richest 2% of the population doesn't want to pay more taxes.

  • @sidescrollin

"those are not the only 2 options...an increase in pay when proved to be justified is also one"

    Yet you admit:

"no shit the budget cant afford raises"

A raise is an increase in pay. If you can't afford to give a raise, there can be no pay increases, even if it's "justified."

  • @Watcher3223 "Yet u admit"

I also stated I was listing that as another option not in regards to this video, from you wording i assumed you meant 2 options exist period, not "2 options exist for this teacher".

  • @sidescrollin

"Part of Christies budget plan is to take away 820 million dollars from the school districts"

Source? Plus, was the money already in the budget and taken out or was that amount cut from the planned 2011 budget because of lack of tax revenue?

  • @Watcher3223 Yes I believe it was, The 820 million was taken away which was previously allocated in an attempt to make up for the deficit in the state.

Also. NY times, Businessweek, the daily princetonian, NJ.com..I can go on.

  • @sidescrollin

Instead of newspapers, how about the state government?

State finances are a matter of public record. Newspapers alone are not the only source of data and information and, truth be told, they aren't the most reliable; they can be as susceptible to a subjective bias in their interpretation as anyone else. Also, if a paper doesn't provide a reference for their data that was used to come to their conclusions, that's another mark against it.

In other words, check it for yourself.

  • @Watcher3223

yeahh bloomberg and NYtimes are little nobody newspapers that can't be trusted right? Alright well thanks for wasting my time. I just went to the treasury section and read the budget in brief....which says the same thing, 820 million.

  • @sidescrollin

"I just went to the treasury section and read the budget in brief....which says the same thing, 820 million."

What is the context? In addition, treasury section of what organization?

"Alright well thanks for wasting my time."

And thank you for wasting my time. We are in hell together. Now, don't you feel all cozy?

  • @Watcher3223 what are you talking about? The department of treasury of new jersey......what else would I be talking about.

"the loss of most federal stimulus funds will mean that total aid to New

Jersey’s school districts will fall by $820 million" cool more time wasted just repeating what I already said.

  • @sidescrollin "what are you talking about? The department of treasury of new jersey......what else would I be talking about"

Then say so. Do not give incomplete descriptions.

"the loss of most federal stimulus funds will mean that total aid to New Jersey’s school districts will fall by $820 million"

In other words, money that NJ lost due to lack of tax revenue at the Federal level and not because of chicanery by the Governor.

If this were a different governor, you'd have the same problem.

  • @sidescrollin

And the lack of tax revenue can be due to:

    1. Inflationary pressure reducing the value of the dollar

    2. The Federal budget is already at a high deficit, meaning the government can't really afford any more without causing problems elsewhere

    3. Tax increases during a recession can hinder recovery, so tax cuts are being kept to help people maintain some level of spending power

As for the 2%, break it down. Individuals or corporations? Yearly earnings? Level of current taxation?

  • @sidescrollin

But, right now, $820 million unavailable due to lack of Federal aid = cuts in budgets that must be made to keep the ledgers in the black.

And, if the conclusion that a lack of Federal aid is the reason, then you can't blame Governor Christie for acknowledging that NJ doesn't have the money.

  • @sidescrollin

Oh, and BTW, when it came to wasting YOUR time, YOU made the decision to respond to me.

I willingly made my choice to partake in this discussion and I'm not complaining except as a way to retort back to your shallow accusation of wasting "your" time for the sake of amusement at your expense.

I'm not responsible for your choice and must remind you that it takes two to make a conversation.

    Ergo, "we're in hell together."

  • @Watcher3223 I was talking about the fact that you are asking me to be redundant for no reason. You ask me to go find state files instead of news as if its going to be different then its not. Then when I say those are the same you even question that.

  • @Watcher3223 What does blame have to do with anything, that basically includes a solution to something. I was pointing out that while everyone wants to lower taxes on the richest people in the country, a mere 2%, those people can easily afford to pay extra which would provide money for things more necessary than a new Prada bag or a mansion like paying Educators.

  • @sidescrollin

"What does blame have to do with anything, that basically includes a solution to something."

Not if blaming is merely pointing the finger.

  • @sidescrollin

"I was pointing out that while everyone wants to lower taxes on the richest people in the country..."

People want lower taxes across the board, not just for the upper class, along with a commensurate cut on spending, especially programs not constitutionally essential, to account for the reduced tax revenue.

And, when you cut taxes, you have to be equitable about it; that means EVERYONE sees a reduction.

  • @sidescrollin "a mere 2%, those people can easily afford to pay extra which would provide money for things more necessary than a new Prada bag or a mansion like paying Educators."

Your comment is presumptuous and ridiculous.

And, with your adherence to the 2% talking point, without specifying the demographic that would create the "2% claim," it makes me wonder if you're going by talking points prepared by a specific interest rather than your own examination of the issues.

  • @sidescrollin

Popular or not, Gov. Christie and other members of the New Jersey government were faced with hard choices and had to make decisions based on some grim realities.

As the saying goes, "money doesn't grow on trees." This applies to government budgets as well.

  • $83,000 is a very FAIR salary for a teacher in a public school.....given the benefits and time off the have.

  • @xpat73

A fair salary? There are people that do far more important work and don't get nearly as much money as they should, such as cops that try to do good and soldiers on a battlefield.

This teacher should be thankful she has a job that pays higher than average for what she does and how much time she needs to spend to do it.

The only reason for her to be so bitchy about the money is if she can't get enough money for a brand new Lexus over one that's certified pre-owned.

    She makes me SICK.

  • @Watcher3223 I don't know where yo live...but if it is New Jersey or NY ..then cops are ABSURDLY overpaid. HEre in Boston...thousands of them are making more than $100k a year with final salary pensions after 20 years!!. So the idea that cops are underpaid is insane...now the military is different...but they get lavished with so many fringe benefits.

  • @xpat73

Wow, that sucks to hear about the police in your area.

    I live in the southeast.

  • @Watcher3223 i think xpat73 was being sarcastic notice the ". . . " and capitalization of fair

  • @Watcher3223 how do u know her salary is higher than average? it was never stated

  • @sidescrollin

Since this was a debate with a New Jersey governor, it can be surmised that the teacher works in New Jersey.

The average is between $42k to $58k for a high school teacher in New Jersey while the national average measures around $35k to $53k (source, PayScale, updated Dec 19, 2010, sample of over 10,000).

She doesn't have much to complain about as others have done harder work for less.

What she SHOULD complain about are government shenanigans giving rise to inflation.

  • It's too bad the Gov. Christie is anti-gun... we need him to run for national office. But damn New England folks are scared of the Second Amendment so... never mind. Clean up that mess in Jersey.

  • Maybe if teachers got paid more, people would know "what."

You know what? People don't have to read. Kids don't have to be taught. Just watch Fox News, folks. It's already dumbed down to my level, and I believe yours, too. Thank you for allowing me to pay for your vote by promising less taxes. Burp.

  • If you think teachers are lazy and have it so great then you should try teaching an overcrowded class with 30+ students, try to keep them under control and focused. Then, go home and take of care your kids. Pay college tution, bills, taxes, buy food, and gas. Now you have just enough money to save to pay expenses for 2months without a paycheck (summer), and put some into savings for your kids. Now worry about next year becasue you may have less income or no job, how happy would u be?

  • first she wants 83 grand a year, and in the next breath she says the only reason she does it is because she loves it. I'm having a hard time taking her seriously.

  • She doesn't make 83K, she was advocating for that kind of pay, most teachers make $2 per student, not $3.

  • I've worked in several schools around Madison, WI. You would not believe how many supplies end up in the garbage at the end of the year. A friend of mine dumpster dove over 30 unopened gallons of tempera paint at the end of the school year. Teachers are the biggest wasters on the planet. Many schools don't even recycle paper. It's a joke.

  • @MrsMom100 I have seen a lot of that, too. I never understood why they couldn't at least print front and back. They don't feel like they get paid enough to make the effort. Or to even care. Pure waste. I hate what has become of education in my state. They are bitter and, for the most part, very ignorant. And often the lowest of their graduating college classes. (Only need a 2.7 to student teach.) Oddly, though, in my state, they are usually Republican for religious reasons. It's bizarre.

  • @Naviti7 I too, can not believe what has become of the education system. If the waste in the school systems was cut, it would save a lot of money. Teachers are another group of people who think they are "entitled." People in this country have become so accustomed to government handouts, in all walks of life, that it has become a way of life.

  • I love how they cut out his initial rebuttal. (Video edit win.)

  • @jetrpg22 Please inform us on what he really said.

  • @Naviti7

Stop being lazy you tube it. I used to post "quotes" and "transcripts" all the time, but then i realized that it doesn't help people learn to LOOK for the whole story. Never believe that which has been conveniently presented.

  • @jetrpg22 No problem. I wasn't being "lazy"-- just didn't know it was that easy to find. No need to be rude.

  • Oh I like this guy...

Teachers have NO room to bitch..but they do...their union thugs live in million dollar homes, and driver around in limos....and still want MORE... 80K a year, holidays off, summer off, spring break, winter break...Teachers do it because they could NOT cut it in the real world! Those who can do..those who can't teach!

  • I just received my benefits package enrollment forms from my company for next year. My cost for health care insurance is going up by 25% . Company says its due to huge increase in premiums because of the new Health Care Reform bill. Thanks Obama.

Of course, NJ teachers continue to not have a clue as they pay nothing for their coverage. All we can do now is wait for our taxes to rise to cover the increase in premiums for our teachers.

  • Gov. Christie is just another Bush political hack. He was Bush's #1 fundraiser being Carl Roves best buddy. The guy doesn't know how to run a state & after a few years you'll see. He hasn't met a govt contract (bailout for private companies) he didn't like. His wife worked on Wall St. and quit after 9-11. When u have politicians attacking school teachers for what the make & the benefits they NEGOTIATE for (just like people do in the private sector), then uve got a hypocrit on ur hands.

  • @JSAautomotive . You work in the private sector at JS Automotive. Im sure you do not have totally free health, dental insurance and vision insurance. Im sure like myself, it costs you a whole lot of money unless your married to a teacher which would then explain your bias. Im also sure that JS Automotive makes you work a hell of alot more than 180 days a year.Bottom line, a fair and sustainable fiscal plan cannot be achieved until public workers pay like the rest of us in the private sector.

  • @nickv41. I owned my own repair facility for 10 years. I now own the bldg & work for the city. I paid for my employees health care bcuz it was a write off 4 me. When u consider the amount of money I was taking in a year between business and tenants, I needed write offs. So I was glad to pay for their health care. Govt works differently from private industry & isn't the main reason Y were in the fiscal mess were in today. I'll B the 1st person 2 tell u govt needs 2 be more effective 4 the money.

  • @JSAautomotive You ,miss the point. Im sure you did pay for your employees healthcare. Most private companies do. But Im also sure that you did not pay 100% of it. If you did, then you are the only private company in America that did. Be honest about it. The whole point of this post is Christie's request that teachers pay for at least a small part of their benefits.

  • @JSAautomotive Its true that the union did negotiate, they have to maintain their members interest.

The problem is NJ is bankrupting itself.

Its the guv's job to turn things around.

Lotta people are gonna have to move or rethink their lifestyle.

  • Christy will prove to be another failed Republican Governor (Schwartzeneggar). Will cut, cut & cut public services until he doesn't balance his budget. Mark my words, this idiot doesn't know WTF he's doing. Cut the property taxes? Lol! That'll work!! Ha! When New Jersey is already in the red, he wants to reduce property taxes? Tell me Christy, if you don't print money as you say...then were are you going to get the money to replace the property taxes? What an idiot.

  • @JSAautomotive Well said, J. I read all of your posts and agree with all of it.

  • Great vid!! Thanks for posting it!! Indeed taxpayers in the private sector are

not guaranteed a salary, pay hikes, benefits and even tenure- why should teachers?

  • @MrRT1966 I think teachers get tenure because its a quazi political job, they get public pressure and are under threat if they don't wipe little johnnies butt.

Some sort of compromise will need to be worked out.

  • Christie/Bachmann in 2012!!! Spread the word around!!

  • This fatso teacher reminds me of the B'ball player Lattrell Sprewel ... making 6-7 mill a year. He wanted more, saying "hey - I've got a family ... and we gotta eat" Ya know folks, the glory days of ask and get whatever you want are over. Those that realize that are OK. C. Everett Koop (Atty Gen.) said it best in 1980: "Greed is part of every American". Look where it got us. I say again: It's over. Get used to it.

  • @dave0mary "Greed is part of every American"

    Its that new disease, AFFLUENZA.

  • You don't compensate me enough for my education and experience, and yes I go into it knowing what my payscale is, and I do it because I love it. Did I just contradict myself and show that my education isn't as good as I thought it was? I think I did.

    Sorry Rita, you FAILed.

  • Teachers deserve to pay for their own benefits and no pensions.

83k a year for this fatso!

    LOL

Do not do it. Go home and watch OPRAH!

Teachers do it because it is EASY. M-F 8 to 4 pm, weekends off, holidays off, summers off

That housewife is a real dummy. Who goes to the library with the internet?

  • Go Gov. Christie!

After suffering with dysfunctional corruptocrat Corzine for four years, the voters (majority democrat) of NJ sent a very unambiguous landslide victory message.

    No more corruptocratic business-as-usual anarcho-syndacalism.

  • if thats the only reason she "does it" than why is she asking for more money?

  • @miked13179 Exactly. In about 5 seconds of ranting that "teacher" showed how utterly stupid she was - and she's teaching NJ kids????? No wonder NJ elects the kind of people they've been electing all these years. At least now with Christie, there's some hope.

  • Liberals have NO common sense!

  • @Gslinger3 ...

    They're brain damaged!

  • Wow, what a way to piss off the teachers.

  • Probably a plant from your friends the demoncraps

  • This teacher isn't making 83K, she's saying she SHOULD. A bit absurd.

The teacher is a fool. No person with a decent college degree should go into teaching. You make less money than a garbage collector, get less respect than a garbage collector, and often you have to buy supplies for your kids.

  • @amibidhrohi2006 You think so? Well check this out. This teacher makes more than $83K. She is making $86K plus 22K in benefits for 2009-2010. I cant post the link but do a search for the name Rita O'Neill-Wilson. The Washington Examiner has a story on this teacher.

  • @nickv41 You can look at APP data Universe...look up any teacher or public employee's name and you get their salary. From that you can calculate their anticipated pension

  • Comment removed

  • Just another union member thinking they should have everthing, Christie is right, if you don't like it, go find another job, let them see how it is without a union, also some teachers do not work all year, so that $83,000 could be for 8-9 months pay, not a full year

  • @fshaia. LISTEN 2 the video. "IF" SHE MADE 83K a yr. She DOESN'T make that kind of bread. Most teachers don't & IS the reason Y they get summer vacations, health care & pensions. WTF happened 2 this country? When did every1 jump on the corporate bandwagon & lose the fight in u 2 push 4 fair wages? All the big companies in my dads era offered a pension & free health care & those companies still made huge profits. But now they make even more since they've conned the public into thinking its wrong

  • @fshaia Most work 201 days. Non-teachers about 240. They work at least 1-2 weeks before and after the year. They bring home mounds of paperwork, stay after school often, are required to participate in extracurricular activities, and go in early for many reasons. Their days average 10 hrs with a 20 min lunch and no breaks. They are responsible for the safety and education of our children and spend more waking time with them than their own parents.

  • @fshaia Jealous little bitch.

  • @inilledra Oh shut up, you leech

  • Let me get this straight. This teacher makes $83K a year., She has free health care, She has summers off, Spring break, Winter break, snow days and sick days and schools over at 3PM.

I dont know about the rest of you but my heart goes out to this teacher. How has she survived all these years?

  • @nickv41 Amen brother. Don't forget the fact that it is impossible to fire her.

  • @nickv41 she doesn't make anywhere near $83K and her day is most definitely not over at 3 pm.

  • @maloney0531 OK Here's the deal. Her salary is public record. For the 2009-2010 school year, Rita O'Neill-Wilson earned is earning $86,389 in salary. This does not include 22K plus in benefits for working 180 days per year. Based on her statement, we should take her up on her offer and save NJ taxpayers $3,389. We should also hope she is not a math or economics teacher.

  • @maloney0531 No but her 2 1/2 month vacation does start in a couple of weeks

  • @maloney0531 you're right she makes more.

  • @nickv41. No nickv41. The teacher didn't say she makes 83K a year, she said "IF SHE WERE PAID $3 A STUDENT, THAT THIS IS WHAT SHE WOULD MAKE". Teacher rarely make more than 50K a year up to High School levels. Most make about 30-60K a year for having a MASTERS DEGREE. Thats about 10 years of college to make this kind of dismal income. What other motivation would someone have, 2 spend so much of their life in school to only make this amount of money. U r obviously not a teacher and don't get it.

  • @nickv41 hahaha, I make $30K and I apprenticed for 7 yrs, first 6 months for free.

I'm happy. These union teachers are out of touch with reality.

  • @nickv41 dont forget teachers week and 10 holidays

  • @nickv41 hahaha unions make people think they have it tough, so they pay their dues so they will "fight" for them

  • @nickv41

To be fair that '3 p.m.' is a bit misleading. I'm a teacher, I get to school before 7 a.m. most days and I rarely leave until 4:30 or 5 p.m. That being said, I nap during my prep period alot :-D

Being a teacher ROCKS, these teachers are crazy.

  • @nickv41 no that was the proposed amount.... and all things considered depending on how long she has been teaching that could be the equivalent to the same experience in another field.

also.....if you think that when school is out all teachers leave you are wrong...and if you think when teachers leave school they are no longer working. you are very wrong. It sounds like you didn't attend school if you don't even know that.

  • @sidescrollin Her salary is public record. It is a fact that she makes 86K plus benefits. You can look it up yourself. Its been posted here time and time again. Your arguments are weak even if a teacher shows up at 6AM and leaves at 6PM. Its a 180 day school year. Get it? It doesnt matter anyway as the day of reckoning for public sector workers is coming. It will hit teachers like a train and its unavoidable. Check out Calif.

  • @nickv41 I was simply commenting on this video, yes if thats true then obviously im wrong about what i said but thats because i dont waste my time researching facts on such insignificant things. Maybe if this video were about something important i'd bother to check facts but i mean...rly?
