turret moves way too fast. Tigers had slow turrets, about a minute to go 180 degrees all around (with engine running high RPM). And the barrel could never traverse up and down that fast. Otherwise, a very cool tank. Good sounds too. But slow that turret down!
get a creepingdeathrc tank and it will kick th e snot out of it. the mato's suck. I'd rate the creepingdeath tanks on par with tamiya. there are some vids floating around youtube of them. search for CREEPINGDEATHRC in google and it you'll see what I mean.
Nothing wrong with the tank. The control for the barrel and the mg are link together.
For US$80, it is a good buy. While some parts of the tank are not as detail as the HL Tiger, other parts are actually better e.g. real rubber rimmed wheels, LED within machine gun.
Should run well with HL S&S conversion. Only problem is the stock gearhousing system is potentially weak. Wish they had adopted HL's way instead.
Given it has proper recoil, it's tempting to buy one of these, strip out the crappy internals, and replace them with the less crappy HL internals. How different are they inside?
The first problem you will face is when you try to open it up. Unlike HL which uses screws, the top and bottom chassis are glued internally, so you'll need brute force to open it and cut the connecting struts within.
Once opened, it looks similar, but I think the chassis is a bit flimsy (thinner plastic too). However, should be ok if you are no running it with metal tracks.
