Some of the Mercedes are sportive, some are for comfortable. The SL65 Black Series looks nice for me. It's fast, comfortable and good-looking. The old SL is nice too. But I prefer the new one. The 760Li looks quite ugly to me and I prefer the S-Class more. The new 2011 S65 AMG is 630 HP.

The SL 65 AMG Black Series absolutely is a brutal car and I didn't like the older 7 series, but the new 760LI's look alot better to me. Back in 2004 my dad wanted to buy an SL 55 AMG and he decided not to buy it, because it was to noisy! I was there @the Mercedes dealer and that SL 55 amg really was a beast it had 65 Amg wheels!

It's worth it. I don't really like American cars, muscle car make me think of American cars, American cars are make out of cheapskate items etc. The American Manufacturer only care about speed,, not luxury and safety. That's why some of the American car got only 4 stars or 3 stars in crash tests. Also not ALL american cars are good in speed too. S65 AMG is a combine of luxury, safety and speed.

I think it has something to do with the frequency of the LED tail lights and the frequency of the recording equipment being very similar. I see this effect quite often on YouTube.
I've always liked the 7 Series, but I can definitely see the appeal of the S Class. They are both really great cars. The thing is, for about equal features, the S Class costs about $60-70,000 more (which is a HUGE difference!!), so the BMW is, in the end, a better value

They're nipping at the heels of the Japanese in reliability and getting back to their roots of building cars with tank-like solidity. BMW, on the other hand, has no clue about quality control. The issues you mentioned along with the HPFP disasters in EVERY turbo model illustrates how their engineering and quality pales in comparison to Mercedes.

Apples to apples please. You cannot compare a 7 series to the s550 with out adding the active body control (comes in the sport pack or available as a separate option). The benz has it so the bimmer should have it. My 7 handles much better than the one in this vid and is a hell of a lot faster than the benz. These "testers" are so biased. They probably loaded the 7's trunk with rocks! I would love to meet them on the track. For a real report on the 7 see the insideline video.
I'd take the big Benz. Everything that makes a car a good car is jam packed into it. Did anyone notice that there was preety much zero body lean/rolling when the Benz took the slalom? I wonder if sport mode was disengaged during the slalom test on the BMW or is it the Active Suspension thats keeping it in check?

@yelzhan123 Yes, MB's quality and reliability in 2010 is night-and-day different from a decade ago. They're nipping at the heels of the Japanese in reliability and getting back to their roots of building cars with tank-like solidity. BMW, on the other hand, has no clue about quality control. The issues you mentioned along with the HPFP disasters in EVERY turbo model illustrates how their engineering and quality pales in comparison to Mercedes.

@jaymum23 yeah ur 100% diff night and day, i will buy MB W124 if they will produce it is world benchmark for quality, relaibility and of course as u mentioned solid as tank durability, but who knows will they produce the quality as they used to ????

@kentau123 I don't know if they're going to get back to those glory days but things are encouraging. We'll have to see how these cars age, but I love the W212. They can build a better car than BMW when they stay true to themselves. Look at the E63- I didn't expect it to be that good! About time MB started letting the engineers run the show like they used to, not the damn bean counters.

I was at the Bimmer dealer over the weekend and saw some S-class owners in there doing a trade in for the 7. That's saying something.

Apples to apples please. You cannot compare a 7 series to the s550 with out adding the active body control (comes in the sport pack or available as a separate option). The benz has it so the bimmer should have it. My 7 handles much better than the one in this vid and is a hell of a lot faster than the benz. These "testers" are so biased. They probably loaded the 7's trunk with rocks! I would love to meet them on the track. For a real report on the 7 see the insideline video.

I'd take the big Benz. Everything that makes a car a good car is jam packed into it. Did anyone notice that there was preety much zero body lean/rolling when the Benz took the slalom? I wonder if sport mode was disengaged during the slalom test on the BMW or is it the Active Suspension thats keeping it in check?
