I explicitly stated Thompson has no experience running large organizations. Those that do-- Romney and Giuliani-- are overperforming. And Fred is lightyears better the Bill Clinton's wife, even with Jihad Spence on his team.
He admitted he will remove funding for the CIA FBI AND NSA. HE SAID IT. Sean Hannity asked him the very question and his answer was "Yes, they do some very bad things". I saw it live on TV after one of the debates, straight up. Not from a transcript, not from a memo or a press release. FROM HIS MOUTH. That would cause irreperable damage to our national security.
Yeah and we all trust Nixon don't we? Ron Paul is a man who wants to remove primary government defense, he is not to be trusted, let alone be president. Hillary is empty and has socialist plans for this nation. We do not want her plans to come to be.

Thomson gave clear consise answers? What debate were you watching. His answers were as canned as the rest of the "three musketeers" answers were. Name ONE thing he said in the debate that had any specifics to it. Tancredo, Paul, Huckabee have more substance than the rest.

People in the media including Ann Coulter have been bashing Fred Thompson for entering the debate too late, for having a trophy wife, for all of these stupid things. This is the first time ever that we have had pre elections start so early, it usually always comes after labor day, not before. Fred Thompson has given very clear plans for what he intends.
On his website he talks about his particular views and his brand of politics, federalism, he speaks about things that a lot of conservatives fail to address, and then he also talks about the biggest world problem today, terrorism. He covers all the bases. He spoke about the economy and his plans to fix it on C-Span, and he is doing well. What debates and media have you been watching?

No, the people are smarter then that. They know Bill Clinton had no experience, he gambled the entire country on a false economy and a growing threat from terrorism. The was a half cocked charismatic psuedo success, a success built on lies, and it just so happens that just as Bush enters everything goes to shit right? Easier to blame the new guy then what came before for what happened next isn't it? I don't think the by and large Americans would really back Hillary Clinton.

When you say "easier to blame the new guy," you're engaging in a straw man argument, no one of any intelligence blames Bush for 9/11, any more than they would blame Clinton. If Clinton gets the nomination, she will win by default. There is no one that can challenge her. People are far more suspicious of Mitt than of Hillary. Fred will have to do an amazing switch to gain any traction.
He cut spending on every front including defense, it was false because it was on a downward slope anyway, don't your remember the whole enron fiasco? There were so many negative things coming our way that the positie economy under clinton was doomed to fall out under the next presidency. SOme people do blame 9/11 on Bush, and I do blame Bush and Clinton for it because they both were not on the ball about it and we got attacked because of that.
Had Clinton taken Bin Laden the countless times he had had the opportunity, and not cut defense and military spending, we might have avoiding this entire thing. Visa vi if Bush had bene firmer in his first seven months on Terrorism it might not have happend either. This is second guessing in any guess and its not constructive. My point is Hillary Clinton CAN NOT and SHOULD NOT be allowed to win. It is up to US who gets the office. Lets make the right choice and not dick around.
command: Taxes need to go up in order to maintain a sensible fiscal policy. We need to fix our infrastructure, we need a reasonable health care system. Hillary is dangerous from my perspective because she is a creature of the corporate sector. But on balance, she is the least of the evils. Of course, my fave would be Obama, lol.
Raises taxes is going to destroy the middle class and thusly cause further breach in the working sector. Most of the middle class can barely make ends meet as it IS even with the Bush tax cuts, Tax cuts promote spending because people have MONEY TO SPEND. If you cut off the money needed to spend it causes the entire economy to become stagnant because people start start "saving" (Or rather using the money on taxes instead of food, clothing, and services).

Well, I would never vote socialist anyway. My concern is that Guiliani is in the lead and I am not sure I would vote for him. I like a lot of what he has to say, but not sure about his stance on abortion and 2nd amendment issues. However, I don't want us to lose because everyone is voting for their favorite constructionist.

Everytime a new invention in that are has been developed it has been bought and held. Patents are purchased and then paralysed. Progress becomes stagnant. People have died trying to bring clean energy to our cars, and im all for it. Cleaner energy sources, and more effective ones would help the entire world.

Hey I mean in that instance you have no arguement from me. Taxes became the primary income for the government when the industrial revolution came around. We do not need a man who would start hacking off (or attempt to) hack off parts of our national defense. If you have no military presence in areas, you have no teeth to bear, you have no way to keep your enemies under surveliance and you have no way to launch an immdiate attack if you need to. We need our people where they are FOR THAT REASON. You can't have national intelligence if you don't have people in the field gathering intelligence, be it undercover or elite military operations.

I agree Fred Thompson is an intellectual's conservative. However, I doubt he has the juice to win on the campaign trail-- Thompson doesn't have experience running large organizations, and it shows.
It would be nice if I was wrong, though the proof is in the pudding in any case.

Hes been in the political office a number of times and he knows Washington well enough to know that he does not like it there, and he hopes to change it. I did not mean nor imply that Thompson has no experience, or has no ideas. If anything, I complimented his robust understanding of issues. People in the media including Ann Coulter have been bashing Fred Thompson for entering the debate too late, for having a trophy wife, for all of these stupid things. This is the first time ever that we have had pre elections start so early, it usually always comes after labor day, not before. Fred Thompson has given very clear plans for what he intends.

command: It was certainly not a false economy by anyone's reckoning. He was basically fiscally conservative. When you say "easier to blame the new guy," you're engaging in a straw man argument, no one of any intelligence blames Bush for 9/11, any more than they would blame Clinton. If Clinton gets the nomination, she will win by default. There is no one that can challenge her. People are far more suspicious of Mitt than of Hillary. Fred will have to do an amazing switch to gain any traction.

Had Clinton taken Bin Laden the countless times he had had the opportunity, and not cut defense and military spending, we might have avoiding this entire thing. Visa vi if Bush had bene firmer in his first seven months on Terrorism it might not have happend either. This is second guessing in any guess and its not constructive. Raises taxes is going to destroy the middle class and thusly cause further breach in the working sector. Most of the middle class can barely make ends meet as it IS even with the Bush tax cuts, Tax cuts promote spending because people have MONEY TO SPEND. If you cut off the money needed to spend it causes the entire economy to become stagnant because people start start "saving" (Or rather using the money on taxes instead of food, clothing, and services).
