  • The tone here is much more thicker than I have heard in his other videos...loved his tone anyways ,but please go back to this tone Steve...so much thicker and much more harmonic...no offense ...you are light years above all others in my opinion only...you have more talent in your little pinky finger than I have all together....

  • true inspiration

  • @alfe060606 lol, that was actually pretty funny, idk why you got flaged

  • this is what a guitar "performance" is all about, its as much fun to watch as it is to listen to. awesome track.

  • I would hate to go up against him on American Idol!

  • When I was teenager, I listened a lot to his compositions ( this one I knew pretty well). Very well played; you can be inspired even if you play more classic guitar

  • Cont: his eyes on his face were so captivating! Steve's Eyes were like holographic, it looks really cool. after I got home, I played the two CD's for a couple of months nonstop! I then got to be able to play my guitar along with some of the songs on that album. I'll never get as good as he! but it made me realize! that I had to find my own gift, although I'm still looking for my gift, I enjoy playing along and listening to, steve's music and learning! He is an extraordinary musician

  • Yes, Steve has a gift! makes you want, to be able to play like him! but you dont have to, when you can enjoy his music! A few years ago, I was talking with someone, we were comparing our views of the best guitar players, his name came up, then I went to the CD store and looked for Steve's albums, and ran across "The infinite Steve Vai, an anthology" and was drawn in by his album cover. at first I put it back down cause his eyes on his face were so captivating!

    Check it out! Cont:

  • Oh my... It's an amazing song

  • 2:01-2:03- that´s beauitifull, his finger´s are so fluid! steve need´s to do more song´s like these..

  • did anyone else catch the satriani riff at the end?

  • @ntoffo123- yeah, i heard Summer Song for a brief couple of notes.

  • @ntoffo123 Yes, there are lot of Satriani licks and style playing put in Vai's music. Very acceptable, maybe as a little tribute to his teacher.

  • multiple orgasms.

  • I think this is one Stevie’s best works. It’s a little more reserved in that the listener is given more time to contemplate and experience the phrasing.

  • So smooth and so gorgeous... Every time, it still takes my breath away.

  • Awesome, brings back memories of simpler times.

  • cool

  • Slash é o melhor da face da terra]1!!!!

  • Vai...

  • Beautiful Spirit, beautiful Light, beautiful music. Love this...

  • Nice song !!!

  • there isn't other ways to judge your talent, simply... Steve Vai

  • Trolls...

  • It's a misconception that masonry is related to satanism. Also, names of Masonic brothers are made public, so google that. Steve Vai isn't in any of the lists.

  • The God OF GUITAR

  • Steve Vai is a satanist.

  • @Standard999999

    who cares

  • @Koki321 Go ahead and support him. But it is important for people to know who Steve Vai really is, a masonic satanist.

  • @Standard999999 I suppose you're a Freemason, then?

  • @Standard999999 really?

  • @DoruAmbar For starters Google "Steve Vai Knows The Eye" on the website Pop Culture Pastor and read about his album covers. Yankee Rose a song written by David Lee Roth and Vai, apparently to represent the statue of liberty (masonic symbol) just also happens to be the last words in the satanic bible. Funny that Vai plays the devil in the movie, Crossroads, how many more "coincidences" do you want?

  • @Standard999999 Ooo, yeah you're right. I haven't thought about those coincidences. Thanks for the information :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Standard999999 Dude, you can think what you want, but i'd love steve vai even if he was the anti-christ. Oh, and how do you explain the song, for the love of god, and Whispering a prayer?

  • @muddypuddlerules

    jealous... -.-

  • @Standard999999 you really need to find out what a pussy feels like. And sure, go ahead, make whatever "I fucked your mom joke" you want...At the end of the day, Steve Vai is the greatest guitar player on earth...and you still don't know what a vagina feels like. Steve Vai = 1, You = 0.

  • @Standard999999 Dude, i'm cristian, but stop seeing evil in everything. The evil is in the eye of the beholder.

Here's a true you cannot deny: If he's satanic/masonic , no matter. We all know he has talent, and it was certainly given by God.

    So,please let us hear.

  • @Mrjhow30

Certainly given by god? I doubt he was born being able to play like this. In fact if we can be certain about anything, it's that he's dedicated years and years of his life to guitar playing and worked extremely hard. Saying his talent was given by god is bullshit unfortunatly my friend

  • @klumpos There is a natural talent, a gift for what he does. Yes, he had to learn how to harness that gift, to turn his passion into the music he creates now, but he was born to play. The gift was there. The passion to play, his dedication to practice and develop, the inspiration to write... that's what makes it shine so bright. Yes, he gives it his all. But the talent was there, as was the drive to make the most of it.

The Universe gave him a gift.

And aren't we so lucky for it...

    -peace

  • @RushFanPix God I wish I could write about Steve like you do.He does have a gift and we are lucky that he is sharing that gift with us.I'm so in love with the man.

  • @Vailover4ever Aww now you're gonna make me blush!

I guess Steve brings out the poet in me...

  • @RushFanPix We all are gifted you know,in many different ways, but we all are,we all are as gifted as him,he just was different because he is

  • @live2shredguy Yeah. We all have our own gifts. What makes the huge difference, is what we do with those gifts. Some feel the drive or desire early on, and dedicate their lives to that passion. Some feel it, but are too afraid to chase that dream. Some people find themselves 'pushed' by others (parents, peers, etc...) to do something else with their lives. And some, never figure out what the gift is.

    Steve followed his gift.

And aren't we so lucky for it...

    -Peace :-)

  • @klumpos I mean Steve is special.Of course, to have all this technical, he had to work hard, but something in his feeling and passion, looks heavenly, even if you don't believe in these things.

Concluding, The Universe gave him a gift. ²

  • @Standard999999 If you can't feel God in this music...Man i think you is who's the satanic or you are close to be.

  • can't hear this enough...

  • 1995

  • @JPLMV Thank you. I was having an absent moment! LOL...

  • I just got an eargasm

  • @1CCN 1995, I think. or maybe 1998. I can't remember for certain, and I haven't got the DVD handy to check. I know it was either 95 or 98. Just can't recall which...

  • 2:00 O_O Oh my fucking god of fucking fuck, that's some sweep ? No, just perfection ^^'

  • This video reminds me so much of porn, not just because of it's explicit content but because I feel like going to the camera man and saying 'STOP SHOWING ME THE DUDE'S FACE AND SHOW ME WHAT'S GOING ON DOWN BELOW!' Jheeeeeze!

  • 59 people must think its a joke

  • is it 5/8?

  • More like Vai To Live

  • can u believe David lee roth got to play with Vai and Van Halen ???? that is rediculous. and then sammy hagar got to play with Satriani and van halen... thats kind of amazing. im not gonna compare the three because they are all so unique and original and the best at what they do.

  • @soliver9988 you would'nt believe van halen & steve vai in the same room w/ frank zappa & dweezil zappa (his son) having an informal sorta jam!.. read that in a guitar mag when dweezil interviewed EVH, zappa invited EVH & coincedentaly vai was there too because vai was currently in zappa's band, i wonder how the jam went cause there was no recording of sorts, but you could imagine the amount of talent in one room, =)

  • Lol he played summer song

  • This is the first guitar I saw Mr. Vai on, back at the 1991 Guitar Legends, PAF PRO loaded (I think) and still the nicest sounding of all his instruments. :)

  • hey steve thanx 4 all ur yt work man.....much appreciated........

  • This music is so inspiring, so uplifting, straight from the Source! What power, and delicacy, vibrant and precise. I could swim in it!

  • back to the days that Steve was writting music... he was one of my first guitar heroes. i'm more into jazz now,but he did some of the best guitar music ever. and i have to say that it's sad that he only releases anthologies...and bests...and so on with the old g(J)ems right now. i guess that everyones "gold era" is ending sometime... Steve is still one amazing guitarist, but he is not the composer he was twenty years ago.

  • GENIO!!!!!!

  • this song was like make bad stuff flowing out of my body. everything so clear on sight

  • I'm in my final year at varsity and work is insane. Whenever I feel like I'm about to pass out from exhaustion I listen to this. It's got this weird feeling of the final hours of an grueling battle thats about to end in victory.

  • He makes it look so easy ... =.=

  • i like the van halen tone his guitar makes! this song is awesome!

and apparently, 54 people listen to justin bieber.

  • I WANT THAT JEM!

  • A great player and a great showman.

  • its taken me forever to learn the song and forever to even put a dent on sounding like him

  • @61SGman how long dude?

  • @boomchakalaka0 a week to learn it and a week to get it right

  • @61SGman Same here mate. It takes ages to get the notes under the fingers

but mastering them is another story. Keep at it, you will get there. Goodluck :)

P.s Im still trying to master it lol

  • Does anyone see the girl who plays the bass side. God how much I like women who play the guitar <3 <3

So much from Steve Vai is just so beautiful, so moving.

    <3 <3 <3

  • @Bieberfan4everr He pull tweens, you mean.

  • his best

  • Love it! Also adore Steve's "touching tongues". This guy has so much passion it's infectious. How he's able to transfer those emotions to the guitar? Extraordinary!!!

  • jhrthj

  • there is tales about this man u follow the ways of the vai on guitar it is said after ur long enduring training that panites will just fall from the skies and all the ginies flow like a river ahhh keep on rockin vai

  • Aaaahh!!! Qué crack la reputísima madre!!!

  • What the hell are those chords from 2:00 to 2:40 they're gorgeous!!

  • This song is soild to play... I can't get the tricky fills... >.<

  • Is that Scott Baio. Sounds like arcade music. Sorry. He's very good but sounds like a video game song. Go ahead and say he's better than I'll ever be in my dreams. He is. So what. Sorry to make you so butt sore.

  • @berlymaiden Sounds like you haven't been to an arcade.

  • @ShredST Pal, I'm 40 years old and back in the day when arcades ruled I'd skate to one everyday. And the video game audio hasnt changed much today. So to say it sounds like I haven't been to an arcade is dead wrong. But it does sound like there's a little bromance going on over there in your corner. It actually seems that many responders like yourself have some sort of man crush going for Scott Baio - Steve Vai.

So sexxxxxxy, super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, sexy?? Are you all a bunch of girls?

  • @berlymaiden lol. You trying to provoke people? First you say this music sounds like arcade music, then you say video game music is same now as it was decades ago. Add in the weak insults, and we have a troll.

  • @ShredST I'm not trying to provoke but obviously reading all the otther comments I must have stumbled on to the gay section. Buddy, am I really waisting time replying to a jack ass who doesnt know arcade and video games are 2 of the same. And the try to rip my weak insults right before you call me a troll. Did you really mean to say that. Troll? You're kidding right. You're such a douche bag you know that. You probably eat hot pockets and make out with your arm. Troll?? Hahahahaha. Stupid ass

  • @berlymaiden although it is weird for a 40 year old man arguing teenagers on the enternet i have to agree with you. Why come here and say he's sexy? unless ur a girl or gay of course but no striaght man should be looking at steve vai that way...it makes me wonder

  • @berlymaiden You are one strange 40 year old man. You ask yourself why you're wasting your time replying, but you still reply. You're making teenagers feel superior to 40 year olds with your feeble attempts at insulting them. You were a punk in the '80s and you're a punk now.

  • @berlymaiden

chiptune music is good anyways! ;D

but usually it doesn't sound like this.

  • not gonna lie had to push the replay button over and over

  • @16skaterdan I do the same :-)

  • Didn't know he had a piercing on his nipple.

  • so sexxxxxxy

  • super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I prefer his white one with the Gold hardware

  • @joelthefrog1 Definitely! It's one of the sexiest guitars I've ever seen :P

Too bad it's so expensive :(

  • @Bieberfan4everr Stop trolling Steve Vai. And if you're a dude who likes Justin Bieber you'll never pull any chicks.

  • @Bieberfan4everr troll fail, how would you know this awesome stuff?

  • reminds me of Van Halen, cool track

  • @Bieberfan4everr yeah, by chicks yo mean 15-year old girls. Plus, isn't that boy just 1.65 metres tall? just something i happened to know....

  • HOT!!

  • @Bieberfan4everr You mean "Bieber pulls more Dicks?" Yeah I'm sure thats what you ment cause that is obviously true

  • This must be how it sounds like to be in paradise.

  • learned how to play the first minute and still trying to get it right :P

  • @Bieberfan4everr No Bieber pulls more 12 yr olds.

  • He plays a lot, so did Jimi.

  • 1:23 nipple ^^

  • This is my favourite Vai song basically because it's complex, yet so beautiful and unique. Most of his songs are basically that but this one makes me want to follow in his footsteps and hopefully one day be that great.

  • When I watch this, I scream at my monitor YEAH MOTHERFUCKER YEAH!

  • he is ok..

  • @joselito80 pff

  • Heaven...
