i love matt moore, he played for my favorite college team and now plays at my favorite NFL team, i was so pissed when the panthers drafted Cam Newton. Moore is the panther's future and once Newton blows it in the first 6 games Moore will come in and save the day, again.

I predicted him to be the future of the Panthers back in 07, this guy is the starter next year, Clausen might get a chance if Moore is playing to his potential. I would be extremely angry if John Fox benches a QB who had a 98 passer rating last year (i do understand that was only 4 games but thats still good).

This is Matt Moore's job to lose and all inclinations point to him having a stranglehold on the position. @SteveSmithTD89 The Dolphins are Matt Moore's team now.I don't know what happened in Carolina,but I think he's a player.Best QB the Phins have had since Marino.Better than Fiedler,Frerotte,Pennington & Henne.He's very accurate with all of his throws.His accuracy with throwing the ball deep has opened up the Dolphins offense.He throws an easy ball to catch which has resulted in less drops from the Phins receivers(everything was a bullet with Henne) and he doesn't throw picks. I'm glad we made a change at QB, but a few too many of the passes in the vid were "Jake" like in that it was thrown up into double or triple coverage with tons of airtime with a HOPE that our receiver will come down with it. I'll be happy with safe 10-25 yard strikes and our running game! Leave the bombs to the legacy of Jake.
Keep in mind this is from 07 dude. And I do have to agree. he did get lucky on a few plays. However, you cant help but feel that the players wanted to do good for Matt. They had a rekindled desire to win that wasnt there when jake was at the helm. He's got a rocket arm and from what we've seen good acuracy. Not to mention the ability to look off recievers and go to his second read.
yes of course you're right *sarcasm* Jake Delhomme has struggled the past two years. Since that surgery he hasnt been the same. Matt is a shot in the arm. Hes a great guy ready to be a franchise QB who knows how to spread the ball around and more importantly not turn the ball over. Matt Moore is much better than Jake is. If Matt had been starting since day 1 I feel comfortable that we could probably have been 10-6.

His footwork was shotty when he first came in and the understandable jitters were there during his first two starts. But once he got into it (the Minn game) he was lights out. Quick release, crisp passes, deliberate footwork, and accurate throws. He gave this team an energy that it didnt have before and whether you like it or not hes your starting QB. Time to get behind him.
i think mardy gilyard might still be on the table when we get our draft now. i was hoping for jacoby ford. I think he just boosted his draft stock tremendously at the combine today. He is incredibly fast but that doesnt mean he is gonna go in the first round for sure. But he would be the perfect guy for us someone with good hands, great speed and the ability to return kicks. We havent returned a kick for a td since 2005

Moore's gonna have to get better at looking off the receiver. He stares them down a lot. Having said that, that's quite a learn-able skill. Guy's a proven winner and has a pretty impressive arm. Definitely start him.

I was not whether Matt Moore was going to be the answer after Jake Delhomme, but he has almost convinced me! I think he is pretty good and could potentially get even better. The kid has only played briefly and always at the end of the season yet he has been able to accomplish so much. I think as a starter, he could developed and be great.
the best thing about matt moore is that he gets the ball to steve smith. With delhomo, smith had a max of about 5 catches in a game last year but with moore, smith had either 10 or 11. Smith needs a complimen, moore needs time with the 1st team to work on timing routes and he needs to work on being accurate but he sure does have potential and the arm.

IMO Tate or Giliyard. Both could be a great deep threat opposite Smith or in the slot.

I predicted him to be the future of the Panthers back in 07, this guy is the starter next year, Clausen might get a chance if Moore is playing to his potential. I would be extremely angry if John Fox benches a QB who had a 98 passer rating last year (i do understand that was only 4 games but thats still good).

This is Matt Moore's job to lose and all inclinations point to him having a stranglehold on the position. Hes more confident, throwing crisp passes talking it up with coaches and working hard with receivers. This is his team and hes ready to take over.

If Matt comes in and tears it up (which I fully expect he will) you gotta look at the fact he's going to be a free agent at the years end. He leads this team to 13-3 or so look for teams like the Vikings, Bills, Jags, Chiefs, Browns, and a few other teams along with the Panthers all looking for a franchise QB, I think the FO lets him walk if he wants too much money. this isnt a guy who came in making bank. @SteveSmithTD89 The Dolphins are Matt Moore's team now.I don't know what happened in Carolina,but I think he's a player.Best QB the Phins have had since Marino.Better than Fiedler,Frerotte,Pennington & Henne.He's very accurate with all of his throws.His accuracy with throwing the ball deep has opened up the Dolphins offense.He throws an easy ball to catch which has resulted in less drops from the Phins receivers(everything was a bullet with Henne) and he doesn't throw picks. @Opuchki haha, yeah it did, Stupid in hindsight too ,lol. But yeah. Im a Matt Moore guy. Have been since the Dallas game back in 07. Right now hes the starter. I like the Clausen pick more and more after i look farther into it but I still feel WR was the way to go there. Either way, the best QB will win eventually and its gonna make camp pretty interesting.

Dude.... seriously. We've been a team for 15 years... Team stats don't mean a damn thing. He was a great QB. Nobody is taking that away from that. The thing you have to realize my man is that you yourself said it. He WAS a great QB. The guy simply didn't have it anymore. Averaging nearly 2 turnovers a game isn't going to convince a lot of fans you've still got it. I still rep my Delhomme Jersey and at the end of the day it'll be a great throwback but this Matt's team now.

I'm glad we made a change at QB, but a few too many of the passes in the vid were "Jake" like in that it was thrown up into double or triple coverage with tons of airtime with a HOPE that our receiver will come down with it. I'll be happy with safe 10-25 yard strikes and our running game! Leave the bombs to the legacy of Jake.

Keep in mind this is from 07 dude. And I do have to agree. he did get lucky on a few plays. However, you cant help but feel that the players wanted to do good for Matt. They had a rekindled desire to win that wasnt there when jake was at the helm. He's got a rocket arm and from what we've seen good acuracy. Not to mention the ability to look off recievers and go to his second read.

yes of course you're right *sarcasm* Jake Delhomme has struggled the past two years. Since that surgery he hasnt been the same. Matt is a shot in the arm. Hes a great guy ready to be a franchise QB who knows how to spread the ball around and more importantly not turn the ball over. Matt Moore is much better than Jake is. If Matt had been starting since day 1 I feel comfortable that we could probably have been 10-6.

His footwork was shotty when he first came in and the understandable jitters were there during his first two starts. But once he got into it (the Minn game) he was lights out. Quick release, crisp passes, deliberate footwork, and accurate throws. He gave this team an energy that it didnt have before and whether you like it or not hes your starting QB. Time to get behind him.

i think mardy gilyard might still be on the table when we get our draft now. i was hoping for jacoby ford. I think he just boosted his draft stock tremendously at the combine today. He is incredibly fast but that doesnt mean he is gonna go in the first round for sure. But he would be the perfect guy for us someone with good hands, great speed and the ability to return kicks. We havent returned a kick for a td since 2005

Moore's gonna have to get better at looking off the receiver. He stares them down a lot. Having said that, that's quite a learn-able skill. Guy's a proven winner and has a pretty impressive arm. Definitely start him.

I was not whether Matt Moore was going to be the answer after Jake Delhomme, but he has almost convinced me! I think he is pretty good and could potentially get even better. The kid has only played briefly and always at the end of the season yet he has been able to accomplish so much. I think as a starter, he could developed and be great.

the best thing about matt moore is that he gets the ball to steve smith. With delhomo, smith had a max of about 5 catches in a game last year but with moore, smith had either 10 or 11. Smith needs a complimen, moore needs time with the 1st team to work on timing routes and he needs to work on being accurate but he sure does have potential and the arm.

Matt Moore is the future at QB for the Panthers.What this team really needs is another WR to compliment Steve Smith!Carolina's first pick in the 2010 draft should be for the best WR available,even if they have to trade up.There is no depth at WR on this team so we might as well grab 2 in the draft!With more playing time comes experience and Matt Moore is on the verge of becoming a star in the NFL!Carolina should have started him by week 8 of this past season.J.Delhomme's days are numbered folks!

If Terrence Cody DT from Bama falls into the 2nd rd. The Panther should draft him, having both Maake Kemoeatu and Terence Cody would be the next Pat and Kevin Williams of the Vikings.
Damien L and Hollis Thomas are getting old. Time to part ways with them, our run defense weren't that great until the end of the yr.
With those 2 in the middle, teams would be force to pass on us with our good Pass Defense of getting intercepted.

Not sure what you were watching bro. Our Run D got much better BECAUSE of Hollis Thomas.... It'll be interesting. We actually have a plethora of DTs this season. With Kemo, Hollis, Tyler and Leonard (who looked like a monster before he broke his ankle against ATL) we could have some much needed depth. I think we def need to get another WR. IMO Tate or Giliyard. Both could be a great deep threat opposite Smith or in the slot.

Golden Tate, Arelious Benn, Jeremy Williams are all good WR that should be on the board when we pick. Maybe Tate will be gone but the other two should be there.
Mardy Gilyard would be great in Black and Blue. Though how he did in the Senior Bowl, and depending on his combine stats, he might be gone first round.
Also, we should draft 2 WR. Jacoby Ford is is a 5'9 WR with blazing speed and is expected to only be a Punt Retturner. Sound familiar? Not saying he'll be Smitty but, who knows?

I wouldnt be so sure about that... That report stemmed from Peppers Agent. Says the Panthers havent begun negotiations. Well.... legally they cant tell the end of the season. Thats after the superbowl. Anything else would be tampering. There is no way in hell he walks for nothing. Its more than likely going to be an uncapped year meaning that his 20 mil aint gonna be that big a deal.

Whats even more good about Matt Moore is that he can fake out the Safties and throw the deep ball in stride to his WR/TE's.
If he can get more reps with the 1st team he will be even more better.
He just needs to throw the deep ball with more acurracy. I seen him just throw up some give mes, but thanks it wasn't intercepted.
He will be good, just need more time to get to know his WR/TEs better. Workout with the young receivers to make them better also.

There's not many Matt Ryan's and Joe Flacco's that come around in the first QB rookie year of the NFL often. Moore is ready and he's already showing chemistry, pocket presence and has a great arm.

Hmmm... When Delhomme played, we lost many games, then when Matt Moore stepped in, we beat two very good playoff teams. I say start Moore and let him develop into an even greater QB. I mean when they played Patriots, Moore had better stats than Brady!
