  • @realdiscostu16 The second one is close your eyes

  • does anyone would tell me who are the character ?

  • 1:40 Man: saguaaaaa! Woman: Waasaaa!

  • does anyone know about the mutilation of japanese bodies by allied soldiers? the americans brought the dead japanese body parts like heads, bones and fingers to america to keep as souvenir in their house. this is a true historical fact.

  • @pixusbubblejet its true, but remember that it started because of some facts like that If you were a Nazi prisoner of war from Britain, America, Australia, New Zealand or Canada (but not Russia) you faced a 4% chance of not surviving the war; [by comparison] the death rate for Allied POWs held by the Japanese was nearly 30%. Other story is about a US Bomber B-29 that crashed on Kyushu, the crew were subjected to vivisection and killed. Look at Bataan Death March.Every1 is guilt.

  • this is just the trailer?!!! man the movie better be good i almost cried on this trailer!

  • Where the hell's Wildstar?!

  • Yamato, despite it's power, was too prized to be risked being sent out on any major engagement (not wanting to risk a national blow like Germany did when the Bismark was sunk). It stayed in Tokyo Bay for most of the war and was jokingly referred to by sailors in the Imperial Navy as "The HOTEL Yamato".

Only when things got truly dire in the war was the ship finally sent out to engage the Allies, but only fueled for a one-way trip. By then the US had full sea and air superiority.

  • @MiHiVidz All she ever did in '42 was make sure the Shokakus were safe and host a celebration dinner after Santa Cruz, when in fact it was a strategic defeat, for failing to at least disable Henderson Field. I couldn't agree more if it was actually her rather than ill-fated and vunerable Kirishima at Guadalcanal. In that manner, she could have raked both Washington and South Dakota.

  • @ThreeSevenSpeedway Perhaps, but WWII was a carrier war, and Yamato's fate was proof of that without a doubt.

  • @MiHiVidz Well, the Solomons is one example, but Guadalcanal was largely fought by surface vessels, with a huge sacrifice of those American cruisers and destroyers at the cost of two IJN BBs. The place where it REALLY got going was on the day Musashi went down; American bombers were especially savage by this rate.

  • As a former sailor (A BB sailor at that) the only ship in our arsenal at the time of the Yamato was the Nevada and she was a world away. Those sailors did their jobs just like we did. With honor and courage in a horrible time. Don't dis the Yamato, its sailors or try to compare it to the iowa class they were out matched and out gunned. The yamato (according to defense dept records) could have withstood and entire broaside from 4 of our BB's at once and then destroyed them.

  • This proud ship will rise again, this time to give new hope to all of mankind. Space Battleship Yamato!

  • Sorry I mispoke before. 5 Montana class were planned but they were cancelled before the keels were laid. The Iowas and the Essex class carriers were considered higher priority. Iowas for their speed for carrier escort and the Essex for air superiority. After the Battle of Midway all plans for the Montanas were cancelled in favor of carrier warfare.

  • Jorn, the Iowa Class was never truly meant to rival the Yamato. Her's was built as a fast battleship. She would have run rings around Yamato but gun for gun Yamato was superior in armor and firepower. Yamato had 9 18" guns to Iowa's 16". Now there was a new Montana Class battleship that was meant to succeed the Iowa in armor and weaponry and it was meant to take on Yamato. The keel was laid on 5 but the US scrubbed them in favor of more carriers for the war.

  • It's funny. After the war, my grandfather was stationed in Nara. I saw the field manual preparing my grandfather for being stationed there, and it pointed out that Nara had a lot of religious buddhist stuff. I said, "oh sure, 'nara' means 'deer', and Buddha attained enlightenment at deer park, that makes sense..." My grandma looked at me like I'd suddenly sprouted horns.

Funny how that generation is still fighting that war.

Hang in there, Japan. Best regards from over here.

  • The Japanese had the Yamato, the Germans had the Bismark, what did the US have?

  • @117Jorn Read a freaking book. We had many battle ships and carriers in the Pacific campain.

  • @KRWoodworks But they were not as powerful as they were.

  • @117Jorn God you ignorant. Did you even study history in school. The Yamato was no more "powerful" than any US battleship. It displaced more but that was about it. It had guns the same caliber as ours, 18". It was sunk by a squadron torpedo planes. The Bismark was a pocket battleship. That means it was SMALLER than any allied Battleship. It was damaged behond repair in battle by a torpedo plane and sunk by torpedos from the heavy cruiser Dorsetshire

  • @KRWoodworks But they were FAMOUS. We do not have super-battleships that have legacies like that.

  • @117Jorn Neither of those vessels were "super-battelships". Not by a long shot. They famous only due to their infamy. Read a fucking book for shits sake. Then you will find out why they had the notoriety. I guess you've never heard of the USS Iowa, USS New Jersey, USS Missouri, USS Wisconsin, USS Illinois. All famous battleships of WWII.

Do you even KNOW what happened on the deck of the Missouri??????

  • @lindo745 Yes, the Japanese signed the peace treaty ending the war. But the Bismark and Yamato were feared by their enemies.

  • @117Jorn Oh for crying out loud....NO THOSE SHIPS WERE NOT FEARED BY THE ALLIES....Not at all.

Your an idiot and I'm done with you. Instead of making things up in your own mind about WWII and those ships in particular READ A FUCKING HISTORY BOOK and EDUCATE yourself.

  • @KRWoodworks The yamato was never used as it was intended, it was ment to fight head on with the american BB's. If it was to fight any of the iowa class, they would be sitting on the bottom now, the yamato has superior firepower and fire control compared to iowa, also the yamato's armour was able to withstand 16" shells, while the iowas where able to withstand the same fire power it carried, which was 16" .50cal rifles. Also, the yamato was sunk by a combined 351 planes, 8 bombs, 11 torpedoes.

  • How sad that they shoved cliche'd contemporary muzak into this movie... what an insult to all.

  • yamato vs uss missouri

  • Saw this movie..with subtitles..pretty awesome and sad at the same time

  • looks like a good movie, too bad theres no english subtitles

  • The Graf Spee

  • aw it's a shame we slaughtered em before they had a chance to kill thousands of Americans..sister ship was the Nagato on which the surrender treaty was signed..and for a war movie this flick is freak'n awesome. A MUST have for war freaks.

  • @therealbabyrazor Nagato was not the sister ship of the Yamato; Nagato was older and smaller, the test-bed for 16-inch main guns. Nagato *was* the last surviving battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy; however the surrender of Japan actually took place aboard the United States battleship USS Missouri. General MacArthur insisted on that, as well as several other conditions to embarrass the Japanese delegation and emphasize that Japan was powerless before the might of the US.

  • Yamato is a real ship. It actually had a sister ship, which name eludes me the same size. Similar to the Bismarck and Tarpitz. I believe they were going to create another 3rd super battleship until the Pearl Harbor showed the futility of surface ships against air power.

  • @madgoose66 The sister ship of the Yamato was the IJNS Musashi.

  • Comment removed

  • @madgoose66 Yamato's sister was Musashi. Sunk in Subuyan Sea during battle of Layte Gulf - by carrier based planes. Bismarck & Turpitz weren't similar.

Japan was building a 3rd Yamato class ship but it's hull was converted to a large carrier-tender. A new concept of the day. It was sunk by US submarine Archerfish 29 Nov 1944.

Germany & USA had plans for super battleships. Germany's was to be 150,000 tons with 8 - 20" guns. US had plans for Montana class 65,000 tons with 12 - 16" guns.

  • @BairdmanJr: IJNS Yamato is at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean north of the island of Okinawa, where she was sunk on April 7, 1945.

  • die tomato men

  • OMG -- this was the series of scenes that were cut from the USA version: Starblazers! And it is damn near frame for frame the back story.

The Yamato was indeed the greatest battleship of her day -- but technology passed her by and ended her reign. May she rest in peace and never have to be called to duty as in the series.

  • I thought the Yamato was made up from the STARBLAZERS movie/anime series. This was an actual ship which served in WWII?

  • @BairdmanJr Yes it was, and not just any ship, it's the largest, most heavily armed, and mightiest battleship ever to be put to sea in human history. The shining pride of the Imperial Navy.

  • Comment removed

  • @BanzaiYamato and then got sunk, too bad pride wasn't enough to keep it float. I guess then we can say that the titanic is still the symbol of endurance. In the end it served as its own down fall, what with all the ammo for all its big guns going boom.

  • Any idea whats the song from 0:00 to 1:17?

  • KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • This is not Space Battleship Yamato the live action movie trailer is it?

  • @Xephon0930 no... does it look like it? theres no water in space

  • @theweirdrobot Except in that last movie that was animated.

  • While I have respect for the Japanese I still wonder why there hasnt been much mentioned on their part about Manchukuo or the Rape of Nanking or the Mimizuka shrine.

  • As much as I respect the Japanese I still wonder why there is no formal mention of Manchukuo or Nanking. Also why the mimizuka shrine is there.

  • I can guarantee I will cry when I watch this movie :'(

  • Would love to track down this movie on DVD or blu-ray. Haven't been actively looking but I've always had my eyes open for this title.

  • RIP ijn sailors

  • lol on the battle they even used the artillery to shoot down the the american bombers

  • TORA TORA TORA FROM BRAZIL!!!!!!!

  • Man if i was in an american fighter i would have been shitting bricks seeing the IJN Yamato and its sister ship Musashi were the biggest ships ever made and the damage they took before sinking was unthinkble. No one thought a ship could take as much damage as those 2 ships took before sinking.

  • I would too. Especially when I saw the barrel of the Wave Motion Gun start to glow!

  • @SelfTormenting If you're in a TBF Avenger, I'd be certain you'd be looking for that armour belt on the Musashi.

  • @SelfTormenting the KMS Bismark sank one of the most powerful ships in the Royal Navy, took on 12 of the RN's capitol ships, her steering gear was jammed, she took three torpedoes, she was alone against an entire RN battlegroup, and they didn't sink her. she was scuttled to prevent capture. i say that's a tough ship.

  • @Soundwave3591

    The Bismark was scuttled?.

    News to me.

What positive, cfredible, sourced evidence is available to support this statement?.

  • @twinstu50 1: the fact the Scuttling charges were ordered to be fired during the battle

2: the fact that the eight holes in the hull are all above the waterline. Dr. Robert Ballard confirmed this.

odd how torpedoes can sink a ship without breaking her hull open. I.E., she was scuttled.

  • @SelfTormenting expect for the bismarck he took NEARLY as much

  • @jasincl Yes true! and the Bismarck was a She not a He...

  • @mitchtickler

Wrong. The captain of Bismarck forced his crew to regard his ship as male. Read the memories of Burkhard Freiherr von Müllenheim-Rechberg (a survivor).

  • @Exverlobter Yes! I suppose you are correct if we were speaking about 'Her' in German then it would be a 'He'. Die Bismarck, war er der mächtigste Kriegsschiff auf allen Meeren! but in English 'He' was a 'She'...

  • hey Jelperman my grandpa was a IJN sailor aand his brothers died at see

  • i hope those who uses abc weapons against someone else will hopefully experience these weapons one day themselfs.

  • @Jelperman LOL!

  • this isn't a spaceship

  • I feel sorry for those people that fought hard and died for there country, then america throws a nuke at japan because america didn't have the power to beat japan... R.I.P for all those courages honest, honorable, loving, human beings, The japanese warriors that gave there lives to save there country from the real terrorists... R.I.P

  • America did have the power to beat Japan, it just would have taken way too long, and way too many people would have died.

Think of it from the perspective of Truman. What would you do in his situation?

  • L2History. Even the famed General Yamamoto knew that Japan could not win a drawn out war as Japan did not have the resources. There is argument to whether or not the atom bombs dropped helped or not but then hindsight is always 20/20 isn't it. Not saying that it was justified, just saying that we could never know how it would have turned out otherwise, other then the fact that Japan would have still lost in some way or another.

  • Exactly, Yamamoto knew Japan couldn't win. Yet it's politicians pushed for it. In the end a General is still bound by it's leaders.

  • @xhandbasketx: True Yamamoto a truly honorable man is too bad that his leaders did not listen to his advice. He did the best he could under the circumstances.

  • When fighting an urban war in a nation as densely populated as Japan you will have civilian losses no matter how surgical the strikes even now in this day of fire and forget weapons. The tactical nuke that hit Hiroshima and the latter which struck Nagasaki caused less civilian losses than a drawn out multi-year war ever would have. Mentioning Terrorists, however, you forget what attack pushed American into the war in the first place. Japan struck first and their strike was worse than the Nuclear

  • @HansWilhelm1995 Have you ever heard of Unit 731? No? Look it up. And for that matter, read Flyboys by James Bradley. Maybe that will give you a look at what kinds of things those people did. Granted, I believe they were honorable to an extent, but its hard to respect when you read about the atrocities they committed.

  • yo i read that book, and ill agree with you, they were monsters when they came to civilians and pows. idc how hungrey or angry u are, you dont sacrafice the humanity and become a canabel

  • @range2pk4

Hi, What book do you read?

    thanks!

  • @mamonycabron Flyboys by james bradley, its a good book

  • @range2pk4

    thanks!!

  • that isnt exactly true, get your facts right.

America had the force to attack japan, as they had got one of the japan islands as theyre airfield for theyre bombers. but japans people fallowed the bushido kode, means no surrender, and only way america could make them surrender was with the atomic bomb.

  • @HansWilhelm1995: Yes because Japan and Germany should have been allowed to conquer rape and pillage as they pleased and exterminate the Jews so you would not have to worry about Israel as you do being a typical Musloon vermin

  • @bannedbyMusloons When one country invades another, all it takes is a few isolated incidents to ruin the image of the people, the reason japan tried to seize the orient is to unite them against the tyranny of the white race, because they seen with the 500 year affect of the colonial era had on the rest of Asia and Africa, they knew they were next.

  • @HansWilhelm1995: Oh my freaking GOD! Yeah sure that is why they raped and pillaged their fellow Asians because they wanted to unite all of them against the white demons. Do you seriously believe the crap you post?

  • @bannedbyMusloons The first part of my statement answered the last part of your question you ignored, Isolated incidents, and look at how america exaggerates, and nicknaming there victims, Guerrillas, heathens, savages, and now terrorists, while being the biggest killer of them all. Terrorist sounds funny coming out the mouth of the devil.

  • @HansWilhelm1995: No all you are is full of shite. As is anybody that excuses and condones the actions of the axis powers but then again coming from a Nazi Suoer Evil Musloon Libtard in the first place it comes as no surprise whatsoever.

  • @bannedbyMusloons Insults don't win an arguement.

  • @HansWilhelm1995: There is no argument to win you are a Musloon Nazi idiot, I do not waste my time with idiots.

  • My Favourite Movie.

  • What is the song that starts at the beginning of the trailer?

  • very good!

  • Correct me "Ichi sen hyu hyaku yongjigo". I can't understand. Can everybody, translate it in nihonggo?? 1945.

  • Hi I think what you mean is:

    sen kyuuhyaku yonjyuugo

    which means 1945 in English

    sen = 1000

    kyuuhyaku = 900

    yonjyuu = 40

    go = 5

    Hope this helps ~ =)

  • Why its different on the trailer??

  • oh..lol mikabuzou in sexy voice and robo is also here.hehe

  • One of the most ignorant remarks I've ever seen on youtube which is really saying something. IJN officers & sailors (like those in the USN or any other military) are not & never have been classified as "terrorists" except by idiots like you who are trying to sound deep or who are too ignorant to grasp the distinction between uniformed service members operating under the Geneva Convention & "terrorists"---cowards who hide and choose to be "brave" only against civilians & children.

  • The IJN (& today's JMSDF) as well as the USN are both highly professional organizations staffed by very courageous personnel who have the courage to serve their nations at sea & preserve stability/order & maintain the freedom of the seas.

That our countries fought in WWII was a tragedy resulting in the loss of many brave sailors on both sides, sailors whose memories should not be insulted by anyone trying to link their efforts & sacrifices with criminal scum like terrorists.

  • Amen to that....respect to all the brave sailors who've gone into harm's way regardless of which uniform they wear.

And as for the meaning of the term "terrorism," Sangsung---Maybe it would help you understand better if you got off your arse and signed on for a bit yourself....you know, help you see the world while learning what the term "terrorist" means. Go to Afghanistan or Iraq, I promise you that you'll meet a few and have a much clearer understanding of the distinction then.

  • @TheNelsonTouch respect to only those willing to sacrifice themselves so the world wouldn't be thrown into chaos and to ward off the enemy, Japan was on the wrong side.

  • como se llama esa musica

  • @juhall: nobody is saying that but the fact remains that Japan along with the rest of the axis powers were the aggressor nations at the time.

  • @bannedbyMusloons Study US history especially by Henry Steele Commager and according to Smedley Darlington Butler who earned two US Congressional Medals of Honor as a US Marine Corps leatherneck we too have a history of uncalled for aggression.

  • @airforcemax: And that justifies the actions of the Axis powers how?

  • @bannedbyMusloons They cannot justify anything and CAN the US and allies justify the World War Two fire bombings of Dresden Germany and Tokyo Japan which had NO military value and many innocent civilians died ?

  • @airforcemax: The attack on Dresden is dicey but is not true that it had no military targets it did have them but they were not targeted and they targeted the city instead. The brits probably wanted revenge for the london bombings of the Luftwaffe earlier in the war. However there is no question that Tokyo capital of the Jap empire with it's emperor god residing there was a legitimate target.

  • @juhall with all due respect I disagree with you, the Japan of that time was the enemy alined with evil in an attempt to purify the world of all us "lower beings" there is nothing brave about that, it is good that now we are allies, but the Japanese were out to kill us, not preserve stability/order & maintain the freedom of the seas, at least not back then. The Yamato was justly sunk and its crew earned their fate. You live by the sword you die by the sword.

  • @juhall remind me never to disagree with you. That was damn well spoken.

  • @juhall I have to say though, it was an honor to fight Japan. It would be nice to have adversaries with some class again.

  • @Halo4Lyf yes, adversaries who sided with nazis and created rape camps in Nanking, Korea and various other exotic locales in south east Asia. Let's not forget the fun field trip known as the Bataan death march. A military capable of war crimes, such class! Hurrah for revisionist history!

  • @ookaninam2013 The Nazis had some class as well. They were a genuine warrior society, unlike the barbarians we are currently fighting.

  • @juhall Well said.

  • On my page I posted a link on where to watch the movie with English subtitles for free,Really good movie, also sad.

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha sunk

  • this movie seems to be verry good!!!

    good trailer!!

  • CLOSE YOUR EYES - Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi

  • They were not terrorists they were just young guys who got drafted

  • monkey

  • Why dont nobody show the full movie on youtube with english subtitles

  • or in spanish subtitles

  • rest in peace heroes...

next time ..i live for the next time....

Like Japan,Serbia will never forget you bomb!!!

  • Propaganda, is not a bad word. It is stirring your people to fight an enemy. To activate your people at home to do thier fair share in the battle. Even cause them to do more than their fair share.

  • I would love to see this if there is an English subtitle verson! I saw a lot of anti-Japanese American war movies when I was a kid - propaganda made during WW II. So I would love to see this one.

  • The only subbed DVDs of the film I could find are R3 versions. To give you a sample...the caption at 2:10 is given as "I will watch over you even if you can't see me anymore."

  • There is.

  • One of the best Japanese movies. Are those soldiers worth to warship? Well, for Japans they are heroes, for Americans they ware enemies.

  • from where can I watch this whole movie?

  • they were not terrorist. Yamato's crew were sailors and soldiers of Japan fighting for ther country and for there love ones as the Americans and British and Wermans were.

  • The best movie that i watched

  • where can I watch this movie?

  • best movie I've ever seen, I cried so many times.

  • Great Imperial Navy!! I Love it.

  • i disagree they are terroris. however these people are not worth to worsihp. as a movie it has done its best. 5 stars movie. nothing need to learn from it.

  • japan=legacy

  • War is terrorism, terrorism on the innocent.

  • I ordered this movie online from jpdorama, along with For Those We Love. These movies were very well done and puts the whole Japanese war effort in a different perspective. I enjoyed both flicks and the battle scenes were very well done. A must see for war movie buffs.

  • this movie is really good, made me cry :')

  • my son managed to get a copy of Imperial Navy made in 1981. I don't know which I prefer, they are both excellent, very moving. Thank you

  • 最後のストラップが気分を台無しにしている気がする。

  • Very moving,my dvd is on its way looking forward to it,may all these young men rest in peace, very very brave.

  • my grandson tracked down the movie with subtitles. It is excellent, deeply moving. Taking in the culture, to die for ones' country, and a thought that it honourable to live for your country...

  • Was this movie released as "Imperial Navy?" It looks familiar.. if it is it was very well made. and I would like to see it again papaalphamike

  • This film needs to have a British/American release. It's all ready available in several European nations and this is a story that needs to be told throughout the world.

  • Looks good.... even if I dont understand anything... :P

  • yeah and you were to know the specs on the bismark? pfft... people are pethetic...

but the Yamato class was the biggest most heavaly armored and armed battleship ever set to sea till this day

(they were gunna make even bigger ones called Super Yamato class hull # 798 & 799)

  • 22steve5150

    Bismarck sucked are you serious?

None of those behemoths sucked their firepower was awesome.

  • You are damn right! to me The Bismarck and Yamato were awesome!

  • America and Britain did not win the war they only merged victorious. They lost just as the Japaneses and Germans did. They lost many ships,Tanks, planes and most importantly they lost a lot of men. That is what i mean when nobody wins in war. everyone looses. The price of victory is never cheep. Except this as my opinion and don't say rude things to me.

  • No one wins in war. nobody. And as for Iowa vs Yamato ,The Yamato had the biggest guns ever and the second most powerful next to the Bismarck.

  • the bismark was a joke compared to any japanese or american battleships built after 1939. it's guns were smaller and not meant for long range engagements, it's armor couldnt deal with plunging shells (built for very close range fights), it sucked.

  • You mean the Bismarck or the Hood?

  • war criminal until now is...USA.

  • so please, at least try to feel and know the hardships that the japanese soldiers faced too..it wasn't only the allied forces who lost comrads..japan not only lost comrads, but families as well..hiroshima and nagasaki..

  • good point.
