I talked to Robin on the phone once. I had Jimmy's family contact me and ask for all their rare recordings. These guys have had such a major impact on me. the days before the internet I would dig through every dusty bin in every used record store searching for anything I could find by them.

it was the drummer Fernandez who died. I actually talked with his sister back in the late '90's, it was quite a shock to her family and the band.

Rick Austin was the drummer, he did NOT die. Jimmy Fernandez passed away...he was the bassist.

Bass player died, God Machine broke up. Robin reformed a band called "Sophia". At one Sophia concert i went to Robin said that he realised he still needed music in his life which is why he formed Sophia. They will not play any songs from the God Machine. People at the concerts still asks for God Machine songs though, i don't think Robin likes that much.
