I have thrown many events with all kinds of genres and subgenres and been chastised for mixing subgenres under one roof but the vast majority of people loved it all and liked that there was so much GOOD music no matter what label no-life intellectuals might tag it with. Roll your eyes some more, think how cool you are to be able to label everything,then remember that whoever made this did it from the heart and the heart doesn't label. Just enjoy or not, there is no other way.

Boxcutter isnt supposed to be dubstep, its just his own unique style which makes it so good, Drill n bass was one of the genres he reffered to it as, what ever the fuck that is lol. Boxcutter rules!

2bf ppl should respect ur opinion if u dont like it. dubstep is so diverse, so many artists, approaches, styles & diff styles suit diff people. there r a few trcks i dn't like tht much but i really cn't think of any so far i cn call shit. i'm a fan of pretty much all styles depending on what mood i'm in. this style 2 me just proves how free the genre is in terms of expression & creativity, provides something deep to loose myself in if im in the mood. btw sounds of the future = massive tune!!! x]

This isn't classic dubstep, but that'd just be boring, we've got enough of that (not that it's not good, I love classic dubstep) - this is just very obviously influenced by ambient music and, to me at least, 80s house music .
And most important, the sound; Boxcutter just adds a lot of is won personal spice to it all, that's it. It still classifies as a *-step of somekind in my ears.
I love that little breakbeat in the end few seconds. So much rhythm.
