  • En la esquina se puede contemplar al maestro José Tomás, que nos dejó hace diez años, y a quien pude conocer en cursos.

  • Yes6 there were many Segovia's pupils, but Segovia is still the one, the icon of the classical guitar.

  • what? a lot of the players went on to be successful. Now, international recording artists may be a different thing but Segovia was a lightning rod for the guitar as its repertoire would be nowhere without him...

  • funny... all these great players and only Parkening really went on to a great career that I know of anyway... I think it was more than CP's playing that made him famous... maybe the matinee idol looks didn't hurt huh?

  • look at Segovia eyes when Ray starts to play the bourree at 1:50 he is shocked.

  • i never saw that ray is amazing, im a huge segovia fan, but you gotta admit he only compliments players that sound exactly like him, i.e. christopher parkening and others i stil think segovias the best, todays players need to slow down and PLAY the guitar, its not a note spitting machine buy some segovia recordings and learn how to speak with the guitar

  • very true regarding the note "spittng..." especially that Japanese guy that cradles and dances with his guitar...

  • are you talking about Yamashita?

  • KY plays slow when he needs to.

Granted I hate his bach renditions, i love what he does with other music.

  • Yamashita is a Master, but Segovia is a God of the guitar.

  • i am a note splitting death machine. i waish i was segovia lol

  • Everyone whishes he was Segovia. :) But Segovia is still the one.

  • AMEN!!

  • I think Ray was trying to show off a bit when he suggested he wanted to play Bouree. He knew he nailed it and rushed the end a bit. Amazing work.

  • great song!

    Are amazing!!!

i invite to you watch my musical videos performance for me, greetings of Ecuador!!

  • I miss my nylon string guitar really badly. It was stolen from me.

  • Really great and amazing touch!

  • that's what she said........sorry, you set that one up.

  • "Very Well, Very Well! I like the sound and I like everything, the interpretation. Very Well! It was very well studied... Very Well, Very Well! I am very Glad! Very Well, Very Well!" - Andres Segovia

This expanded footage is great! It is good to hear Segovia pleased with his student. Ray is really great!!! He is probably the best interpreter and communicator of the Segovia repertoire!!!
