  • I want to have Clapton's hair...

  • whoah Butthead!!! Check it out!!!! Dr. Who is in CREAM!

  • About me....... ; )

  • reminds me of Q104.3 in New York and Jim Kerr

  • wich broadcast was this ? year ?

  • @fiascheto 1967

  • I think it's cool that they all look so uncomfortable faking it for the camera. Cream was a raw sonic force that was all about playing live.

  • They are playing along with a recording. None of them seem very comfortable. Watch the drummer. You can hear the toms but his sticks aren't hitting them. Still cool to see them. I'm gonna start wearing a cape when I play!

  • lol man im loving all the comments lmaoo

  • Ginger Baker has to be the first ever cape worn!!

  • \m/♦♦♦!!!!!CREAM!!!!!♦♦♦\m/

  • I'd dare to say Cream is the most beastly band that's probably ever been around. They're just too amazing.

  • @peliparado94 theyre the greatest band ever assembled probably. they didnt stay together long enough to be the greatest tho. they all had to go out on there own. it was better for music that way probably. they created more. There called a super group. Thats what we call them around here at least.

  • selmer

  • 00:13 - 00:16 lol, drummer epic fail, but who cares?

  • @Mo3g55 clapton's hair is an epic fail, but who cares?;)

  • @josie426 Just cool hair, man

  • @Mo3g55

that's not a fail, he wanted to make it obvious because unlike other artists at the time, he actually has dignity.

  • im high lol!!

  • Is Clapton's mouth gone numb in the begiining of this 0:08. Pretty weird

  • Clapton looks off his face on this vid.

  • Clapton is mind blowing on this. I dig that SG and the psychedelic clothes. Great tone. He sounded better back then when he was playing Gibsons.

  • @Magik1369 Hey, man, I've been thinking the same thing about E.C.'s axes for a long time. I think the Strats sound right on a lot of his studio stuff, and the odd song or two live, but, overall, I agree that his style is much better suited to the Gibsons. I suspect he really hamstrung himself (as a player -- maybe not financially) with his relationship with Fender.

  • Clapton is so mind blowing on this. I dig that SG and the psychedelic clothes.

  • Eric ,the blues purist, must have really hated the pop infused lyric to a favorite of his-"Lawdy Mama", that and the moddish flower power costume.

  • my super hot cousin ( see looked better than Ann Margret ) in 65 was a stewardess for braniff or eastern ? she was offered a job to work at Beat Club as a hostes, she had only been a stew. for 3 months so she declined man what a job and time think of who she would have met

  • eric clapton,he picked up a guitar;the rest is history

  • lol miming fail, Clapton and jack are like, lets do this properly cos it's good publicity, and Ginger's there like "lol i'm high, i couldn't give a shit."

  • has no-one noticed that this is such an obv lip sync?

there are 2 guitar lines and only one guitarist

ginger fills and you dont hear it

erics lip dont match what he saying

awesome rave but im surprised no-ones noticed that

  • @ramsay97 At 1:46 the drum track does a drum roll, but the drummer is still hitting the high-hat. WTF?

  • @shizukesa65 yea I know their's a lot of that going on. Eric has some leads he missed as well. The record is actually playing

  • @shizukesa65 Strange Brew got the video.

  • @ramsay97 We noticed but we're not obsessed enough to comment on it. Hahahaha. This is THE recording from the LP... and NOT a live cut.

  • 1969 to 1971 rock took a BIG hit. It didn't wipe it out for sure but there was some damage done right there. JH,JM,JJ,Beatles break up etc etc....

  • Bruce was what made The Cream .. .. The Cream ..

  • @milkgodnl who the flippin 'eck are "The Cream"?

  • Jack Bruce is one of my all-time favourite vocalists.

  • clapton with a fro, this is gold

  • CONCORDO dre 0921 Up up up

  • I met him in London where he was rehearsing at Brixton Academy b4 he played The Royal Albert Hall and I can say that compared to the so called divas of today , he was quite unassuming, polite and just a regular guy. The nicest muso I have ever met.

  • Wich one of this guys is Eric? and Jack? They are so weird.....

  • @pox7ling bow before cream you ignorant vermin!

  • You say Soulja Boy-I say Van Halen You say Miley Cyrus-I say Led Zepplin You say T-Pain-I say Kiss You say Flowers-I say Motorhead You say Pink-I say Aerosmith You say Hip Hop-i say shut the fuck up You say Pop-I scream ROCK!! • @dre0921 kids are mad and change every month from music style and are highly influenced by fashion. So who gives a crap, more room for us at a concert!

  • @dre0921 I say You have too much time on your hands, or too little in your hands.

  • for all you people: google Tavistock Institution + Beatles

  • wicked hair porn star or what right music aswell

  • good hair

  • Is that a stuffed bird hanging off Jack's bass?

  • why is jack playing a normal guitar instead of a bass

  • That's a six string Jaguar Bass.

  • @riff4u dind't know they existed

  • I HATE when they sync another version of the song in a video. Listen to the drums and watch at 1:46 to the end. Ginger Baker is laughing because he knew that they were all "pretend playing".

  • He was just discovering himself then, as great as he was, he did listem to Jimi.

  • damn the drummer is tripin balls. haha. he looks like my grandma. how isnt he dead ha

  • Please don't BASH the pioneers of today's music.Thanks.Peace

  • Your grandma is one ugly fucking bitch then.

  • i was kidding around. but theyre both dead. so fuck you. go to hell.

  • both Dead???? Who??

  • I love how Ginger mouths the lyrics while he's playing the drums, he looks so smooth man!

  • Young, Eric Clapton looks like Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots / Velvet Revolver

  • NO ...

    IT's NO REAL ...

    THIS IS A MATRIX !

  • Bad ass!

  • I am just Gratefull that I had The opportunity to be around during

the sixties, and still love all that

    good ROCK & ROLL

  • It's not a guitar, it's a Fender VI six-string bass.

  • see this is when clapton was cool

  • true, but Clapton is still cool to this day due to his incredible humbleness or modesty in the music world.

  • hey dude i love clapton but "modesty" nooooo way not him he was very full of himself back in the day....he seems very aproachable these days tho

  • well, i can't argue with that

i guess that happens when someone is in the limelight.

FYI: that's what i meant before that he is very cool as of NOW.

  • well totaly dude i cant argue ..... great taste in music by the way

  • I don't think Clapton was like that...

I've read in wikipedia that he was pissed off about the members of Cream showing off and he didn't want any kind of that crap... Well, he seemed nice to me...

  • @jalfredl Too self effacing if you ask me .whether the "...God posters " embarrassed him or not-to this day he defers to other guitarists Eric's chief detractors are devotees of the late Hendrix.I've been heckled ,insulted etc.followed around the Tube because of my vote for Eric -which is a bit on the obsessive side imo -but the fact remains Clapton 's playing was THE most intense & innovative- minus the Ronson fluid .He was pushed musically by his two superb band mates Bruce & Baker

  • Wow, look at that perm on Eric Clapton.

  • loved claptons playing but im afraid that on this video he reminds me of a "gerry anderson" puppet, he just looks so "wooden" and im one of his greatest fans.

  • That's the look of a man intensely uncomfortable pantomiming along to one of his own records. Can't say I blame him.

  • No it not one of Claptons guitars. It is a Fender VI six-string electric bass introduced in 1961.

  • beefy yeh lol wud av been if i spelt it ryt haha im english but english not a strong point of mine lol !

  • dlphcoracl a dont think u wud want wt he's on he was notorous herion addict lol allegedly haha

  • @dboi08m i want some notorous herion, that sounds like the shit!

  • I want some of what Ginger Baker is on!!

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO THANK YOU

  • ginger baker looks stoned off his tits on this! lol

  • awesome ! hahaha !

  • what's that wiggle, need go to the mens? Just kidding fans, please don't spam me I love The Cream!

  • classic!!!

    lovin the tune!!!

  • love Clapton's fro

  • This period is when Eric knew that Hendrix was the best, and Eric became much more animated, and then became much better. Still Great!

  • Jesus! Clapton is sooo hung!

  • I don't want the studio version! I'll just listen to the album.

  • I THINK (caps lock) i think the actual audio is gone, so someone put the studio version in there...

otherwise their're not my heroes anymore and my whole childhood is shattered :)

  • i agree with you as I feel that way about all lip synching...but my nostalgia weakness is disabling that common sense

  • Comment removed

  • rofl there all wacked , and claptons mouth is a dope one lmao

  • lmao

  • i want eric clapton's haircut

  • Legacy.

    That's all.

  • 2 points. 1- this is lipsync to a backing track. 2- i'm an albert king fan and man eric clapton does do a good albert king. serious homage. did he record this version (disraeli gears) on the SG?

  • i think he did record gears on a sg he used a unsed and on all the cream album i believe but i am not sure near the end he he stared using a firebird and in the farewell he used a es-335 that from what i gather am sorry if i am wrong on anything

  • Definitely miming to the album track. It's a shame as it would be nice to see a good live version of this song.

  • There are two guitars playing but only one on stage. That is the weakness of 3 piece groups on stage live. Saw Led Zep back in the early 70s and they were a disappointment. Great in the studio but always something missing live.

  • i know you'll get low marks for that comment but i completely agree

  • cream is a live band

  • Is this song about abortion?

  • you are a fucking dumbfuck

  • last time i checked maybe

  • You can tell they're faking it, and playing long to a dubbed track. Ginger Baker looks like he's just phoning it in, and Clapton looks a little uptight, I think. It makes sense a group of proficient players would sort of just "show up" for this taping and not really play. At least that's the way it seems to me, compared to real live footage.

  • lol its possible they're faking, they probably would've told you if you'd asked them:D . but its also possible that the person who uploaded this just dubbed the studio version over this performance

  • It's so wierd seeing Clapton play a Gibson SG.

  • Even wierder trying to figure out what kind of furry animals sitting on top of his head

  • HEY DUDES - LISTEN TO THE SOLO FROM THIS SONG, THEN LISTEN TO ALBERT KING'S VERSION OF 'OH PRETTY WOMAN' SEEMS LIKE EVEN GOD NEEDS TO GET HIS IDEAS FROM SOMEWHERE...

    apologies for shouting.

  • Yeah, Clapton admitted copying the 'Oh Pretty Woman solo verbatim in this song as an homage to King.

  • Well there you go - can't believe I never noticed it before. Makes me laugh this vid the way they look so hacked off with having to mime.

  • that is the studio track im sure of it

  • It is. Sounds exactly the same! Still nice to watch!

  • Aina niin UPEA!!

    Always this MAGNIFICENT !!!!

  • ahhh so nice, they were truly freaky, nice to see em so young, but does ginger baker need to wear a cape??

  • I add this because the video is a riot....Obvious play along....

  • obviously its being lip synced

if you want a good example of a bad just not caring and screwing around in the video look up some rolling stones, does anyone else see jacks bass? is it just me or is it a fender jazzmaster baritone or jaguar?

  • Looks like a Fender Bass VI in Jack's hands.

  • it's definetly not a bass!

  • im pretty sure it is

look it up my friend, Fender bass IV

its a baritone guitar if you will

  • Jack's bass was painted by yhe same guys that did Eric's "Fool" SG, shame it's not in colour.

  • Strange

  • its the album track..jack isn't even playing a bass guitar and you can hear 3 guitar tracks

  • is it pre-recorded?? it doesnt look like theyre actually playing

  • i dont know, could be cuz it sounds exactly to the studio version of Disraeli Gears

  • Upeata; minun 60-70:s Kiitos Päivi !!!!!

  • Yes! When Eric was still a musician! When he still cared about music. When he knew the difference between the Blues and soft-rock pop "hits". The freak!

  • Ginger Baker could play amazing drums in his sleep,

Jack Bruce could make Noel weep,

Eric could turn Jimi on with His talent and vice-vesa

incredible.....it was an avalanche of musical invention

  • I wish E.C. used Gibson for Cream reunion.

  • i agree and im not a big gibson fan, its just important to the sound of cream. and thats coming from a strat guy.

  • Clapton is God!!!

  • Look at Eric's confidence!

  • Both The Doors and Cream are superb bands that stand any comparison.

  • Yep. Both legends. It's not fair to say that either was better or worse than the other

  • the only positive thing about the doors is their music. Morrison is nothing. Kriegers the man tho.

  • I want that soft little ting that Jack has on his guitar.

  • you too..!!!!

  • is jack bruce playin a guitar? lol it kinda looks like it

  • no its a six string bass

  • a six string bass/ baritone guitar

  • Jack Bruce has always been an avent garde musician, and taken base further than anyone in those days. Clapton was wearing his Edwardian outfit which was popular in those days. (see pretty prince of parties and you get the idea) Bruce was wearing the by now infamous Neru jacket which no one has worn now for many decades. Baker always seems to wear his flowered shirt.

  • What the hell is on Claptons head? Oh...that's his hair. He looks like he's one of the munchkins on Wizard of OZ..."we represent the lollipop tree, the lolloipop tree, the lollipop tree.

  • clapton should hav played the gibson for their reunion

  • the fool sg sounds amazing !

  • like the fact that clapton is the only singer yet he manages to do the harmonies as well...even without opening his mouth.

    TALENT!!

  • Mmm true but why do I got the feelin ya dunt know Rory Gallagher or Alvin Lee?

  • i have nothing against Clapton and cream it was purely meant ironical...three men on stage...one sings yet all the harmonies are there...thats all i meant. I am a big cream fan and have nothing on them at all

  • It's because he's miming - plus he had terrible toothache: if you've had it, you'll know why he didn't open his mouth much!

  • Not just Ringo's but so many others.

  • i think ginger could kick ringos ass!

  • well, that goes without being mentioned. haha. But idk, the beatles' music didnt really call for virtuoso drumming. haha. So that is a kind of unfair comparison.

  • you are all way funny----just enjoy it---stop the battle

  • hmm rhythm pickup and tone at 0?. he must have lots of treble itd seem. i play out a gibson it gets a pretty flat fuzzy sound like that. treble at 10 on the amp id guess

  • He didn't use the woman tone all the time

  • ginger looks like hes enjoying it.

  • great song

  • SWEET AND SMOOOOOTH

  • lol i love how jack bruce is playing a guitar

  • its a Fender 6 string bass

  • man i wish i had hair like that

  • Wanghammer, i hate to tell ya but without drugs, alot of the great music recorded around that time would not exist.

  • According to Clapton the great music happened pretty much before the drugs kicked in and when they did it all started turning to mush . See how quickly the 60's turned into the 70's.

  • 10 years?

  • I wonder wonder why they call you pighead ?

  • It´s so wierd how this posting sites become fighting arenas out of nothing. Imagine Clapton and Hendrix reading all this crap...ha. Man enjoy Cream, enjoy Hendrix... what the fuck!

  • i agree

  • The simpletons have nothing better to do than petty bickering. That's why there are functions like "Remove" or "Block user" the channel owner can use. Because asshats need to be kept in a tight leash or they take over in no time...

  • i second that
