This cut proves, among other things, the awesomeness of the Peter Gunn Theme, in that you can do *anything* with it, and so long as you play the bassline straight, *it still works*. Granted, the fact that it's very talented musicians improvising on it helps, but still--a magnificent example of how flexible a tune it is, too!
