I've done many gas chambers while I was in the Marine Corps. In most of them the gas was like a thick fog in the room. You can't even see it in that room. The key is to NOT hold your breath as long as you can. You don't want to gasp and suck a bunch in. Just breath very shallow and deliberate so you don't cough. You can breath CS all day long. If its pepper though, you are screwed. :)

No, it just burns like hell. Depending on where you went determined how bad you had it. I went to Fort Sill, did the gas chamber 2 months ago, I heard other posts had it worse. We only had about a minute of exposure with our masks off. We tried saying the soldier's creed, wasn't happening. With my MOS, I'l be doing the gas chamber every 6 months. At least it cures any sickness you may have for a bit!
