Great video, Betty! I make my smoothies the same way, only difference is that I add ice and instead of sugar, I use plain lowfat yogurt. Makes it just as nutririous, probably more calories, but gives it better texture and flavor :)

@SuperKingNova You can use apple juice instead of the orange juice. You need some sugar or artificial sweetener of your choice. I used 1/3 cup, but you can use less--just to your taste.
@MrFluffy7140 Hi Cecelia, I used Splenda to save a few calories, but, if that is not a concern of yours, just use plain sugar. If you are trying to save on calories, then just add the type of artificial sweetener that you have available, to taste.
i wish if you can show me how to add ice to the mixture! i have a son of 6 years and he hates strawberries but never mind'em in a smoothie, so i want to make it more "forbidden" for him - ice is not allowed for him - so he would take it instantly! and thanks ... ruby
You need 1/3 cup sugar or your choice of artificial sweetener. The complete recipe is at the right side bar, if you click "more info." Thanks for your question!
Yes, I did a vanilla banana milkshake and a chocolate banana milkshake. I will send the video to you, if I still have access for sending it (I can only go back so far.) Thanks for your question!
You are smart to use the frozen mixed berries. For any kind of fruit you may want to substitute in this smoothie, freeze it for a couple of hours before blending, if you can. It will be much better--but you know that!!!
Those sound like interesting additions! I'm not familiar with the Raw Nut Milk or Agave or Medjool Dates--I need to study a bit! I bet yours is delicious! Thanks for your comment!
That's a fantastic way to make it--makes it nice and cold without adding ice cubes! I didn't think to mention that, so I am delighted that you mentioned it here! Thanks for a great tip!
I made your summertime fruit salad...was still really tart until the next day after sitting in the fridge...today it was wonderful. But we still have some leftover...what about using that left over fruit for a smoothie?
That would be great! Remember it's a little tart, so you need to add some sugar (or artificial sweetener)! I'm glad the fruit salad worked out for you! Thanks for your great feedback!
Betty you need to get your husband in the videos! He is lucky he gets all this amazing food. Your body is beautiful. Can you show any of your personal healthy meals that you use to keep in shape? Or meals for athletes because I work out alot.
That's a great idea! I meant to mention that you could stick the fruits in the freezer for a couple of hours after they are sliced, and that will keep it cold, without introducing any water. Thanks for the reminder!
There's nothing better than a healthy, refreshing, nutritious fruit smoothie on a hot summer day like today. I made one with the same ingredients as yours and it came out absolutely DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing Betty =)
That's great! I also have a nice banana milkshake and a chocolate banana milkshake--less healthy, but worth getting your blender out for! Thanks for your lovely comment!
Betty girl you are such a joy to watch...love that you are also full of info. your a big blessing for us all thanks again for all you do...love rosemary

Green grapes are good substitutes for sugar. They need to be blended alone first till its a fine liquid then add the liquid grapes to the mix.

just a suggestion...instead of sugar...add organic honey! :)
