    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Yes i had that before i dont know how to do it tho . Thanks

  • @PoKerFaceN1 You can search for a smoothie in bettyskitchen and follow the instructions, just substitution orange and banana for the fruit I used.

    --Betty :)

  • i used strawberries and banana slices!!! and i didn't have splenda, so i used real sugar

  • I never put sugar in my i like the taste of the fruit and not all the sugar

  • who doesnt have a blender?

  • Green grapes are good substitutes for sugar. They need to be blended alone first till its a fine liquid then add the liquid grapes to the mix.

  • just a suggestion...instead of sugar...add organic honey! :)

  • thank you so much betty ur awesome and preety

  • Great video, Betty! I make my smoothies the same way, only difference is that I add ice and instead of sugar, I use plain lowfat yogurt. Makes it just as nutririous, probably more calories, but gives it better texture and flavor :)

  • @ilovereborns456 Thanks for the great feedback! I really appreciate it!

    --Betty :)

  • can you put apple juice instead of sugar. if sugar how much for one

  • @SuperKingNova You can use apple juice instead of the orange juice. You need some sugar or artificial sweetener of your choice. I used 1/3 cup, but you can use less--just to your taste.

    --Betty :)

  • What bout bananas, plum, orange. Does apples work well with it

  • By 1 1/2 cup of milk do you mean one and a half cup, or just a half cup of milk?

    ~Abraham :)

  • @dutyfan11 1 1/2 cups = one and one-half cups.

    --Betty :)

  • what do i do if i can't find that type of sugar? -Cecelia

  • @MrFluffy7140 Hi Cecelia, I used Splenda to save a few calories, but, if that is not a concern of yours, just use plain sugar. If you are trying to save on calories, then just add the type of artificial sweetener that you have available, to taste.

    --Betty :)

  • Yum i tryed it. It was AWSOME

    -Vicky

  • @lpsgirl122525 Thanks for your great feedback, Vicky! I really appreciate it!

    --Betty :)

  • I went through all of YouTube making different kinds and it turns out I like your recipe the best I can't wait to make more

  • great video....my mom loves ur videos

  • i wish if you can show me how to add ice to the mixture! i have a son of 6 years and he hates strawberries but never mind'em in a smoothie, so i want to make it more "forbidden" for him - ice is not allowed for him - so he would take it instantly! and thanks ... ruby

  • yumm yumm yumm!! i just made this and it was perfect! thank you so much! i love your videos!

    ~Chris :)

  • @SkateFallRepeat Hi Chris! Thanks for the great feedback! I really appreciate it!

  • @vampira462 Thanks for the great feedback!

    --Betty :)

  • your very welcome :)

  • how much sugar do you put in; like 1/2 cup or 1/4 cup??

  • You need 1/3 cup sugar or your choice of artificial sweetener. The complete recipe is at the right side bar, if you click "more info." Thanks for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • Thank you so much!

  • @readergirl100 You are very welcome!

    --Betty :)

  • you mentioned milkshake in this video...do you have a video for milkshakes already I'd like to view that one, don't see it in the list. :)

  • Yes, I did a vanilla banana milkshake and a chocolate banana milkshake. I will send the video to you, if I still have access for sending it (I can only go back so far.) Thanks for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • I also made this-the only difference was that I bought a bag of frozen mixed berries! It makes a big difference! Thank you for the idea.

  • You are smart to use the frozen mixed berries. For any kind of fruit you may want to substitute in this smoothie, freeze it for a couple of hours before blending, if you can. It will be much better--but you know that!!!

    --Betty :)

  • YUM! YUM! I make them with Raw Nut Milk and Agave or I throw in a couple of Medjool Dates.

    Hugs xx

  • Those sound like interesting additions! I'm not familiar with the Raw Nut Milk or Agave or Medjool Dates--I need to study a bit! I bet yours is delicious! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • i make mines with frozen fruit

  • That's a fantastic way to make it--makes it nice and cold without adding ice cubes! I didn't think to mention that, so I am delighted that you mentioned it here! Thanks for a great tip!

    --Betty :)

  • I made your summertime fruit salad...was still really tart until the next day after sitting in the fridge...today it was wonderful. But we still have some leftover...what about using that left over fruit for a smoothie?

  • That would be great! Remember it's a little tart, so you need to add some sugar (or artificial sweetener)! I'm glad the fruit salad worked out for you! Thanks for your great feedback!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty you need to get your husband in the videos! He is lucky he gets all this amazing food. Your body is beautiful. Can you show any of your personal healthy meals that you use to keep in shape? Or meals for athletes because I work out alot.

    thnaks

  • I'd suggest using some ice cubes for the iced-smoothie effect, yumm-o

  • That's a great idea! I meant to mention that you could stick the fruits in the freezer for a couple of hours after they are sliced, and that will keep it cold, without introducing any water. Thanks for the reminder!

    --Betty :)

  • There's nothing better than a healthy, refreshing, nutritious fruit smoothie on a hot summer day like today. I made one with the same ingredients as yours and it came out absolutely DELICIOUS! Thanks for sharing Betty =)

  • You are so very welcome! As I mentioned in one of the other comments, you can freeze the fruit first for a colder drink. Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • A food processor or smal kitchen chopper makes for a wonderful smoothie( personal serving sive)!!!

  • Those are both great options! I really like the personal serving size idea! Thanks!!!

    --Betty :)

  • That's fine too. i'm gonna make it, but i would use use fructose

fructose is not so cheap but healthy

  • That's a great idea! I'm sure some other people will pick up on it. Thanks for sharing!

    --Betty :)

  • sorry for my bad english,I think that is : " i will use"

  • great video.. thank's look's refreshing

  • It is a very refreshing drink--and healthy, too! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • looks yummy :)

  • Thanks! I hope you enjoy it!

    --Betty :)

  • I have a blender and never use it...i will now..thanks B xx

  • That's great! I also have a nice banana milkshake and a chocolate banana milkshake--less healthy, but worth getting your blender out for! Thanks for your lovely comment!

    --Betty :)
