@Bobby1961D - Just getting around to replying to some of the comments - Thanks not my best work but the kind of stuff I pumped out of the old B-3 in the clubs week after week, most people were drunk to care what it sounded like anyway.
Thanks for posting these videos. I sure do miss hearing you play, and being able to listen via the web brings back so many good memories. I hope Texas appreciates you as much as we do back home! Love you, miss you, see you soon! xoxoxoxo
BUSTED - Now you know how I really spend my time. I never knew you even listened to me play, guess it was hard not to even the neighbors couldn't turn down the volume.
Not only do I enjoy your playing, but also your sense of humor and the way you express yourself. I come from a little different background, but I did play at a "Moose Lodge" in the 70's for 4 or 5 hours. I was paid $35.00. (had a M? series Hammond with Leslie) for about 6 months, then I sold it. Could not believe they asked me to play because if you think I am rusty now, you should have heard me then. Like you said above, many who listened were probably either loaded or musically challenged.
To be honest our backgounds are close. When I first started I played at an Eagles club for their friday night fish fri dances. At that time I too had a M-100 with a 146 Leslie. Haven't thought about that for a long time. Thanks for the memories and the nice comments.
Actually growing old is great you have so many excuses for your failings - my back hurts, my fingers are stiff, I'm so tired, etc. Also I'm in the process of putting a CD together for a few freinds and family back in Ohio,or is that Pennsylvania? If you're really serious I'll send you a copy.
Bob, I heard a local DJ this past week on one of the olde timey radio stations in Dallas, KAAM comment on how much lounges have changed over the years and how they'll never be the same. Your organ videos and your other lounge videos surely reflect a bygone era so accurately! Thanks for Summer Wind! Great song!
Back then people got dressed up to go out today anything goes. The elegance and class of the lounge bars followed suit. Also it seems the bar scene today is geared toward singles looking to hook up, back then it was mostly couples going out on the town.
Bob, you bring back a lot of memories with your music and pictures. I DO miss those days. We didn't work the same clubs, but we probably share a lot of the same memories - most were good I must say. Maybe 'our' style of music will make a comeback.
I agree and those memories most likely could fill a book. I miss everything about it except moving that old B-3. Most of the Hammond Lounge videos are a little tonuge in cheek when it comes to the schlocky playing but hey that's what it was all about. I never knew what I was going to do next and most of the night I played requested songs I didn't even know. Thank God most of the people were so loaded or musically challenged it really didn't matter. YEP those were the days!

Nicely done!
From the wrong era I can only make lame comments... but I always listen. (and learn)

There is never a lame comment. Most of us learn something every day no matter how old we get and those that don't just aren't listening. Thanks!
