Possibly a test or Flaps and airbrakes would go down. By the way, the Pilot has to make an emergency landing by slowind down the plane only with brakes. This causes the brakes to take fire as they are not supposed to do such job. No reverser like commercial airplanes are built on such plane type.

100 knots faster than normal must have put touchdown speed somewhere around 240 knots I'd imagine.
