  • start making vids longer than 5 minutes you assholes i come here to blow time

  • some say that i have similar sexual reproductive organs as the spotted bass

  • Thank God a different narrator..

  • @RenpikaRozen tes the other Narrator was a pain in the arse

  • i agree with ohsleep if we were wiped out of planet earth its for da better of earthbecause we are killin this beautiful creation of rocks and other matters...To me a billion species is much more important dan 1 species dat are brilliant.I mean like we live in every single land on earth...And then maybe more into da future there will be so much we will start livin in da ocean..We might find some way to live there....And then start wiping out da animals there too...And for da ozone layer we die..

  • @kuroshashu cont'd - If our species were to be wiped out, another species could very well evolve and take on the role of being the dominant race. I find that a humbling thought, and can see your being intimidated by it. Do you belong to a particular religious denomination? I could understand the point if you were arguing from a religious perspective (god created us, we are all special, rah rah rah), but otherwise you're still just a bigot.

  • I don't think it's ridiculous to point out that you value humanity. You think that your family and friends are important, so you look after them. Fine, I'm asking you to realise that the rest of our species has people who feel the same way about them. Humanity is of supreme importance to humans and to since it's we who're assigning values, it's our call.

You're right about earth not needing us, but that doesn't mean anything. cont...

  • Ultimately, I'm concerned with consciousness, since it's that which can suffer. Since pretty much the whole planet can be ruined without destroying consciousness (if humanity wasn't on it); the value I assign to it is only derived from the degree to which it mitigates suffering by conscious beings.

I don't think this is an irrational position at all: only the conscious can suffer, so only the conscious are important and all else are merely tools to the end of aiding the conscious. cont...

  • And this doesn't mean I believe in indiscriminate destruction of earth; far from it. Some other animals are somewhat conscious and require a safe environment. Additionally, we're so programmed to find beauty in nature, so I'd hate to see such a gem discarded. Not to mention our dependence on a stable climate. I only wanted to de-sanctify nature and put priority back on us.

Oh, and in answer to your question: I'm an atheist, which far from causing me to discard humanity, causes me to cherish it.

  • @kuroshashu. In response to what you directed at me earlier - that is one of the most ridiculous arguments I have ever heard. Im not still alive because I feel Im important, Im still alive because Im not partial to dying. Im important to the people around me, sure, but on a bigger scale I dont mean much at all. This earth existed for millions of years without us, it could very well do without us again.

  • LOL, the sentence at the end is so gay: *Run rhino run! But this time you can run free and wild.* LOOOOOOOOL

  • @ kuroshashu.

Humans aren't important at all. We're a speck in an infinite universe. We are obsolete. The only reason you would rather see other species' die in our place is because you're a bigot.

  • If you're not important, then kill yourself.

You won't, because you don't believe that you're unimportant, for all your posturing.

We are a planet of important people and no step is too drastic to keep that fact a fact.

  • They love rhinos today but tonight they will lead poachers. No...no...that's not true. They love them. They told me so.

  • yo y they pictures of my neighbor @ 0:23

  • This cycle of life crap is just annoying.

Nearly every animal on the planet is either indifferent or actively hostile to us. Furthermore, as conscious beings we take precedence.

I've no problem keeping rhinos and such alive if doing so pleases humans, but to pretend like we owe them anything is just silly.

  • i agree with blondeflower22..........if we were rhinos or any other creature.....im sure we wouldnt want to be killed.......rhinos are my absolute favorite animal and when i hear that a rhino gets killed or something of the sort...it makes me soooooooo MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!.....if we all could step in and help save the rhino population then i think we all should.....I WANT RHINOS 2 LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have a plan!

If we kill all the rhinos, there would be nothing for you guys to bitch about.

Not many things want to be killed, but a hippo wouldn't hesitate to kill me. Humans are in fact the only creature that holds back killing because we think it is wrong.

  • you're saying its not wrong? lol ok then dont think its wrong if that happened to you by a rhino

  • you are so right but not as far as killing them all -_-

  • WHO THUMBED DOWN UR COMMENT?! I had to thumb it up because u make a great point. if a diver saw a young great white in a net, it ould free the great white, The the great white kills the diver. Whadda ya know

  • Hold back killing? Since when. What did you have for dinner. Where do you think it came from. A tree. You wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for animals. Religion has blocked your sense of reality. Oh! look at me I'm all killer human only not woohoo. Let me see here. Humans have wars, abortion, murder, animal testing, slaughter industry with billions KILLED annually. Not to mention hunting and trapping and religous offerings. Humans kill so much it is a wonder anything is still living.

  • Can you name a single other animal that actively attempts to encourage biodiversity?

How about another animal that defends the habitats of others?

How about another animal that cares for the injured of other species?

War is worthwhile: pacifism is willingness to allow pain in order to keep your hands clean; abortion is a victimless crime, animal testing is to ensure the safety of products before use by conscious animals and slaughtered beasts live much better lives than their wild counterparts

  • Back@kuroshashu First answer-All life forms.Unacknowledged

Second answer-There shouldn't have to be an animal that defends but since humans are greedy pricks then they try to arbitrate a difference.

Third answer-Other animals care for other animals. But you would know that if you knew that.

What war is are humans taking precedence over everything because some idiot religous attitude says that humans know more than everything else.

    And abortion is?Are you despondent.

    Stop animal testing. cows

  • All other life forms seek to narrow biodiversity by destroying their competitors. As we did, except that we're more competent

Other animals do not, as a rule, care for other animals except in terms of symbiosis and parenting

Humans do know more than everything else. Are you asserting otherwise?

I don't know what you're saying about abortion

Yay for animal testing. I feel much better using shampoo knowing that someone thought to find out if it corrodes eyes before selling it.

  • @kuroshashu Your not making sense except in a destructive way. Haven't the ingredients in shampoos been tested enough. Go organic. If humans are so friggin smart why would they constantly need to test the same ingredients. Humans were given more. If you have studied the mind you would know that. Yet all the knowledge they obtain seems to end up for all the wrong things. Animals need less to live on this planet than humans. Even with education, books and knowledge humans still mess up.

  • I think it's pretty rare for animal testing to take place with ingredients that've been well tested.

Wrong things? Medicine? Technology? Philosophy? Mathematics? Agriculture? Astronomy?

Is the entire human project a waste of time to you? We have made mistakes, but the beauty of humanity is that we're getting forever better at this whole civilisation lark

I'd rather watch every other species of animal die rather than see civilisation take a single back step because it's just too damn important

  • youd rather see every animal die than see civilisation take a step back?

do you not have any respect for animals?

having no animals, you would have no meat, clothes, milk ect...humans would not of advanced at all if it wasnt for animals, and now we are well advanced you think we should destroy the creatures that got us to this point? dont think so

  • Wait, so you argue for the preservation of animals by pointing out how they further our cause? Wow, did you miss that point.

  • yea but no 1 other specie has wiped out as many other species as humans have.

and seriously as a person that wants to doesnt care about any other life forms you must be seriously fucked up

i can see your arguement, but get back to reality, why would you not care about any creatures/plants around you

your arguement is valid, but you are 1 fucked up guy who must have a lot of issues

  • Try not to make this about who's better socially adapted eh?

It's true that we're extremely adaptive and have taken over more of the world than any other recent species: this is besides the point

We seek to make the world a better place; which can be said of no other beast. We seek to protect other species from their otherwise inevitable end, which can be said of no other beast

And finally, we are sentient. It is we who can suffer and so it's entirely fair to give ourselves top billing

  • "We seek to make the world a better place"- for ourselves yes, which can be said for every other beast aswell,

and yea every other animal would prefer for every other specie to be wiped out because of predators and competition for food, and even there own species, but we are not animals, and humans do benefit from wild animals, not just caged 1s, storys, films flags ect a big amount of the things we use/see ect today are based around animlas and their own unique individualness as a specie

  • sorry for my bad engish aswell xD

  • No-one is arguing for the extermination of all animals, just that their welfare is secondary to our own. I take this to be borderline self-evident.

  • "I'd rather watch every other species of animal die rather than see civilisation take a single back step"....and by a step back, how far do you mean?

  • @kuroshashu Thats your opinion. I think people who can't or won't live in harmony with the natural environment shouldn't be allowed to live at all.

  • @thequake180: The natural world is not a unitary beast; it's made up entirely of selfish individuals who devote their entire lives to tying to destroy all other life. We humans are the first to break free of this and impose some kind of order.

  • @kuroshashu You don't speak or understand anything that an animal says. Yet they can understand you. Well maybe not you but other humans. They communicate well with other species and can teach them as well. And yes I am certain they know more. Everything humans do they try to do better than animals. Why are there so many things named after animals. Everyone that excels at their profession is refered to an animal of some sort. Flight wouldn't be thought of without birds. You can't fly can you.

  • Things that an animal says? 'Lion King' was not a documentary. The second most intelligent species on the planet, the chimpanzee, has been taught sign language in order to assess their communicative ability. It would embarrass a retarded human

Know more? This is absurd. Ok, what of the first humans? Those that lived the life of the apes. Were they more knowledgeable than we? Of course not

Space flight was invented in the absence of any animalian example. And I can fly much faster than a bird

  • @kuroshashu That chimp taught other monkey not of its species to sign also. And you can't fly at all. I have my own theory not of science or religion. So arguing some science babble that you have read somewhere doesn't impress me at all. I would rather discuss with somebody that actually has their own thought on an issue not a borrowed one. Put yourself on the line. The rhino in this vid has more history of the planet than people do. And eating them doesn't get you the truth.

  • So we invent a language and teach a tiny fragment of it to a chimp, from which a monkey picks a fraction by imitation, yet we're the stupid ones?

I can fly much faster than a bird. Through applied intelligence humans have beaten many animals at their own game, including birds

You seem to wear your theories incompatibility with science as a badge of honour, but it is not. It's a badge marking you a fool who cares nothing for the actual merit of their beliefs

Ok, humour me, what is the truth?

  • yea but other life forms rarely destroy their competitors.....humans however destroy whole forests landscapes and species

  • Rarely? Are you kidding me? Have you any idea how many species died from competition before we existed?

  • dotn agree with kuroshashu, but animals do in no way want to preserve 1 another, a zebra would rather there be no predators and even no herbivores, so there would be no competition and nothing to harm them :P

  • @kuoshashu Humans aren't natural. They try to be and mess it up at every attempt. They even have crossbred things to keep from being the last on the planet and oppress them. Never will you prove to me that anything that humans have done or invented is theirs to claim. Life has been all over this universe. The proof is dirt. Everything that dies turns to dirt. That is what the planets and stars were created from. Death. And humans are way behind the technology that has already been done.

  • No, we're not natural. Nature is bloody in tooth and claw; we seek to minimise harm and plan long term.

We try to be natural? What? Crossbreeds? What drivel is this?

Ownership is merely a declaration that is generally accepted and enforceable, hence, we own everything on this planet.

Wait, now you're talking about aliens? And your proof is that dirt exists? That's your proof? No wonder you believe nonsense; your standard of proof is incredibly low.

  • Hardly any one gives a shit, its only when famous people do something that anyones interesting, but they only care about themselfs and their own personal gain.... :((((((

  • Quite disgusting; how dare we allow people to persuade us of the value of under-exposed causes.

We should all just follow the wealth of knowledge on global issues that is our inborn instinct, right?

  • lol my uncle is a rhino poacher sorta funny after i read u comment

  • In my opinion, rhinos are probably the coolest animals.

As soon as I live an independent life and know I can sort out my economy, I'm gonna start donating to prevent their extinction

  • good for you! i fully support your choice :]

  • Animals are people too, and should be treated like that. Slaughtering and animals because you are greedy and want it's horn, it's unacceptable. There are tons of things WE can do. It's called SEVERE consequences of poaching endangered species should be enforced as a WORLDWIDE LAW. Adopting, and donating give us more power. I speak strongly. Beautiful creatures, and I am devoting my life to them.

  • Then your life is wasted: even if you succeed, the ungrateful bastards will just evolve into something not-rhino. Face it: all species are transitory.

  • i want to help them and cuddle rhino they so cool !

  • I heard elephants are turning rouge and killing Rhinos out of sport.

  • I think rhinos are one of the most wonderful creatures that God created. I hope that selfish humans don't wipe them out like we did with the carrier pigeon.

  • doesn`t matter which one for too long human life has been put infront of animals even nearly extinct ones like tigers, there are billions of us , we are over populating the planet what gives us the right to kill these creatures?

  • It doesn't matter, what can you do about it.

  • What gives other animals to kill other ones? Don't bullshit speech lol.

  • cycle of life... ever heard of it? lol

  • okay

  • I wounder how they know what animal spirit each person has

  • From what i remember, it depends on characteristics of a person like their attitude or how they act to other people.

  • so true man, so true

  • i love rhinos

  • "Live with wildlife, not against it."

  • Rhinos,Elephants , Hippos , Tigers , Lions , Bears , Eagles , Turtles , Apes e.t.c have something in common all are at the brink of extinction because of the greediness of the human race , I would rather see a human shot dead than one of these creatures because at least these creatures are innocent

  • fuckin right man

  • yes i totally agree with you, also it's stupid when an animal kills one human, they are immediately hunted down and killed while we are killing thousands of animals each day.

  • It would depend on what human was to be "shot dead".

  • @TheGriffin1988 you are a terrible person.

  • Well done!! Great narrative and glad to see their president is getting involved.

  • Rawr!

  • damnit you beat me to it! ._.

  • lol, he wants to recreate wilderness, but you cant recreate something that already exists ^.^

  • holy shit boring

    "How many Winston?"

"I don't know, five. Whatever you want. five."

    "good winston"

  • i know right?

  • Are Hippos, Rhinos, and Elephants in the same catigory?

  • nope.

  • very cool

  • comment

  • Eventually they're going to have to start eating meat if they want to stay alive, which is going to be very frightening.

  • LOL :26. HUNGRY HUNGRY HIPPPPOSSS!

  • THis is Intense!!

  • Good luck with the Rhino's.

  • Only when Man views Nature as part of him, and not something which he lords over can we save the wonderful blue jewel, our only divine home

  • beautiful creatures

  • nice accent.

  • Is it getting boring in the ol USA these days as the lights go out?

  • The lights aren't going out, and no I'm not bored.

  • wow yur funny.........

  • I know.

  • wonderful creatur make by God

  • That last statement strikes a strong chord. "...this time you can run free and wild." With dedication like this, there may be hope for this planet.

  • mommy can I keep him??

  • Death to all poachers that kill these ancient animals!

  • thats cool =)

  • i love pigs...and thats why i love Rhinos :D

  • i dont believe in rhinos

  • freedom of religion :D

  • They're doing a good thing :)

  • rhinos win at life :D

  • rhinos are so cool.

  • free and wild

  • national geographic should use HD there gonna get more subscribers, nature itself is beautiful and HD would show the details

  • our right, thats a good point.

  • We need to save the Rhinos,no, We need to save every Endangered Animal as much as we can.

  • i agree! :)

  • lol were not even gonna save ourselves

  • people said the old narrarator was annoying but he was ad least better then this one

  • Yeah, what evidence do you have that it's staged?

  • we need to save the Rhinos

  • Amazing.

  • To me, everything is beautiful - the video, the commentary and the music. Nature is simply AMAZING!

  • I totally agree with You =' )

  • great pics, awful commentary

  • Beautiful.

  • i want to do there

     i love that place

  • The commentary and music is cheesy, but this video has some of the most beautiful cinematography.

  • you do relize most of NGC work is staged because they cant get the animals to do what they want ...

  • zrekscool, have you got any evidence of this?

  • what do you mean by "staged"?

  • they stage it, like they film things and make a story out of it, most of the time its not the same rhinos or other animals etc..

  • no they are not.

  • kinda hot in these rhinoooos. anyway rhino offspring are one of the cutest animals in the world when they're first born.

  • so beutiful... i love rhinos :)

  • Rhino are so beautiful. I'm glad Botswana is taking a leadership position in protecting their natural heritage. If they don't who will?

It would be cool to have Rhino's at the Elkhorn Slough Reserve.

  • Rhippno lol

  • Freedom is the key yet again! And this video proves it.

How? Botswana has the closest thing to a truly free market in Africa. Hence they have one of the strongest economies, if not the strongest, economy in Africa. Strong economy = people are well off = they are not pushed to things like poaching for a livelihood = even animals live a better life.

Down with the FED and give us FREEDOM!

  • what the name of the song please?

  • You're overplaying the whole "spiritual" aspect a bit much, methinks.

  • Nice PSA video. Tnx!

  • "Not our right"

Unfortunately most christians have the mind set of "god made it for me and I can do whatever I want to it as long as I follow the bible"

  • you seem 100% close minded and clueless.

  • 100% agree

  • A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast... Proverbs 12;10

  • ive seen them in real life- they are no joke unlike any other animal. so energetic yet so peaceful. they are really cute as babies too.. but i kid u not they are massive!!

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • wats that about animal spirits? im from botswana... I've never heard about that

  • I'm guessing that he was referring to some pre-colonial beliefs. Maybe not, though. I took it as a reference to the spirit of unity and interconnection.

  • hmmm... maybe its a bush man belief or something... my granparents are Mongwato and Moyei. All theyv ever told me about is the respect for animals and the myths and storys around em...

sorry, i just get tired wen TV pple make us seem like some funky witchcraft 100000BC mumbojumbo hooligans

  • Comment removed

  • don't buy any ivory, or anything that comes from an animal, legal or not. Show little mercy to the poachers. Well don't kill the poachers ... maybe break their knee caps.

  • actually in many countries in Africa they shoot poachers on sight. When I was on a safarri in Kenya there were 3 armed guards within a 1 mile radius of each rhino

  • I agree - I add poachers can not be beaten with violence. The barrier can only be breached by education.

  • Fuck that...It will not stop people who are desperate enough to hunt these animals in the first place. They need to be hung upside-down from a tree or used as target practice.

  • i would love to do this as my job

  • stop the killing of this beautiful animal.

  • true that

  • thanks

  • i wanna touch it

  • Don't think what makes you feel good only

  • Awesome :] The sumatran rhino here is also dying out and is endangered. ): Save theeeeeem.

  • Beautiful sight!

  • my favorite of all god's creatures!!!! :):):):)

the black rhino is exceptionally cool!!

mean and temperamental, just like the other half!!!!!

  • extinction and evolution....both are inevitable and undeniable

  • They just need to stop the poaching

  • ass. they're bbeing poached for their horns

  • So perceptive of you. Would it matter if they were white?

  • what a fuckin' idiot you are

  • I wish people around the world thought like this.

Then we would stop the genocide, enslavement, and total obliteration of the rest of life.

I wish humans were intelligent enough to ignore the media and wake up. And realize what we are doing here. But some days I know we aren't.

We have to change our lives completely. Take down the economy as it is the driving force. And stop using the earth as a resource.

  • lol

  • lols rhinos are cool

  • What do you call a elepant and rhino mix?

  • uhh.. A Rhinopant??

  • A conservative republican?? lol ;-P

  • I like rhinos
