  • file sharing is INEVITABLE because to the technology we use today. it is IMPOSSIBLE to fight it. and the artists are starting to understand that by giving out more and more albums/songs for free. they need to understand that the money needs to be made with selling merchandise and going to shows... they are victimes of our own technology and there is no way to avoid it.. so support your arists in every other possible ways!

  • Does anobody know about a lengthly documentary on music file sharing? I need it for a school project.

  • All I heard was "BAAAAW BAAAW! I'm a greedy tool. BAAW!".

  • Intellectual property is a farce. The entire racket should be scrapped so people can get focus on productive things in the world. Cry babies want other people to give them resources that are unnecessary to enjoy the content created.

  • @Foslopac You're so right. Copyright in its current form is a kind of squatting that devalues our shared culture and public domain. The laws have been manipulated (after death + 70 years) so the majority of copyrights are owned by non-persons like corporations who had no role in its creation.

  • Downloading music is not stealing. IF you steal something the owner loses something. By downloading the originals still remains to respective owners of material. IF someone claims a song as theirs - now THAT'S stealing. I 100% download music, but if i like an artist/band i go to their shows, I pay for ticket, take some friends with me (more tickets sold) and if i really, really like the bands i also buy a t-shirt. Where is the problem??

  • basically what it comes down to is : do you have respect for your artist?

  • he really said it with "compromises the right of the creators." once the song or movie etc. is copyrighted , 2 out of the 6 rights of the copyright holder are to control copies, and the distribution of those copies.

  • this guy is a tool

  • there are awesome people like Michael Moore who actually say yes to pirating. Plus, most artist today are talentless fucks who don't deserve to be called musicians.

  • I think he said sharing is good, not really that pirating is good. There is a big difference. Pirating is thievery and thus that tends to mean that the people involved in the making of the goods will not get paid, so next thing is to assume no goods will be made because there will be no money for lets say, a record producer to feed his family. So now, that brilliant record producer is now going to have to be a chef in a restaurant. It is the very reason music today suck so bad. No money in music

  • so music is better with more money spent on it?

  • @smsheard Yes, anything is better when care if given, be it money, or lets say time and attention.

  • yeah! sunset261 i agree totally!

  • fuck off , how much would i pay for maddonas sucking voice ...if we all 10 000 ppl pay these money for her she gets fucking rich ...no way , fuck hollywood fuck usa music scene

  • DRM sucks its been broken meny times DRM does not work

  • Hey, are we on speakerphone?!

  • Maybe so, maybe he doesn't want anyone calling.
