Go to a manufacturing greenhouse that produces plants for gardening centers. What you will find is that C02 is infused at very high doses to make the plants grow much faster than normal. The reason it is done this way is because it would take too long of a season to develop plants ready for stores because the natural environment doesn't have enough Co2.

Ok, most of the points here are good, except for that caterpillar one. This shows a total lack of understanding of ecosystems. If chicks have to go further north to find caterpillars, it shifts the entire ecosystem of the northern area they flock to and the southern one they came from. Additionally, caterpillars, if allowed to thrive, DEVESTATE plant life which can result in a decrease in other species (much like deer going unchecked in many areas, resulting in devestation).

Yes thats true Pwells1, but then after the plant life that the caterpillars have eaten are "devastated", the caterpillar population will decrease due to a loss in food supply. This allows the plants to grow back, and then the caterpillars will repopulate and it will repeat. Its a very typical cycle in nature.
