  • This was originally produced in 1948, and was one of American Tobacco's first filmed TV commercials for Lucky Strike [produced by industrial film maker Jam Handy, who also produced several of American Tobacco's promotional films for theatrical exhibition in the '40s]. The success of this stop-motion animated ad paved the way for other tobacco companies to seriously consider buying ad time on television, and create their own filmed ads. "L.S./M.F.T." stood for "Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco".
