  • Coileacs ftw

  • I'm trying to be gluten free, Thank you for this video

  • Oh hai! Have you tried cleverous 402 diet (google it)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate lost a lot of weight with it.

  • Is there a connection between gluten intolerance/allergy and diabetes?

  • @JubblyJack Definitely. Both diabetes and Celiacs disease share the same genetic marker. An incidence of either disease in a family raises the chances that future children will have the other disease. As a matter of fact my parents were rather unsurprised when I was diagnosed with Celiac given that my brother had been diagnosed with diabetes years earlier.

  • @JubblyJack Definitely. Both diseases are strongly linked and contain a common genetic marker.

  • We have been gluten free for over a year and have had great health benefits. We use a lot of fermented vegetables at home to help improve digestion. It has helped us all alot.

    Thanks for the video.

  • @wowbreadown there are plenty of better sources of b-vitamins than wheat. , namely fruits and vegetables, or Bee Pollen is very high in such nutrients. Doctors either dont know or dont care- they dont know everything like many people still insist. They are apart of a broken system that is primarily interested in perpetuating the status-quo . Which is to say maintaining high profits for the very few at the expense of the many. peace

  • Gluten free has changed my LIFE. Before last year, I had horrible stomach cramps almost EVERY day. It would distract me from my school work and even keep me home in bed some days. My skin was also full of acne. I have one friend who has celiac disease, and she recommended that I try going gluten free. It was a MIRACLE. Instantly, no more stomach aches or acne. I may not be celiac, but some people are gluten sensitive like me. You should definetly try it out if you're thinking about it.

  • @razzberrry I have had issues with gluten for years and finally got tested for celiacs and it came back negative but still I had issues when I ate gluten containing foods . The more gluten the worse the symptoms. mostly fatigue and feeling spaced out for 2-3 days . Eventually I learned that gluten intolerance can trigger another autoimmune condition in some that triggers the immune system to attack the thyroid gland. I now believe this is the root cause of most if not all of Hashimotos

  • @razzberrry I find it very hard to go gluten free, how did you make the transition since almost everything seems to have gluten these days. Did you just start reading labels properly?

  • @makaveli19860 Well we have a Whole Foods in my area, so I normally shop there. At restaurants it's good to choose meats and vegetables. Fish is also a good option. If you can't find anything, a salad with grilled chicken is healthy, filling, and gluten free as long as you ensure the salad dressing is gluten free and ask for no croutons. As far as buying things at stores, you don't need to go to health food stores and expensive places like Whole Foods.

  • @makaveli19860 For example, did you know that Chex makes gluten free cereals and Rice Krispies has a gluten-free version? Betty Crocker makes gluten free cake, cookie, and brownie mixes. Corn and quinoa pastas aren't always so expensive, and if you make your own meatballs and check the label on your pasta sauce you can make spaghetti and meatballs. To make your own breadcrumbs, toast bread then process it in a food processor. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to message me. :)

  • what happens if he eats fresh wheat? even the sprouts?

  • Hey wow a new fad considering only 1% of population has it

  • Thank U

  • If you are not sensitive to gluten (negative blood/biopsy test), can you still benefit from a gluten free diet?

  • You are awesome. I have recently been diagnosed and your videos have provided me with a wealth of knowledge. Thank you.

  • now i no im not the only person that eats gluten free stuff!!!! its embarassing when u go to the shops and u have a courner and ppeople stare!! lol

  • If I don't eat wheat and I feel a lot better, I don't need a test to tell me. Your body is the best test not numbers. If you take a blood test and you've been wheat free you will test negative! Wheat has the protein with TEETH , it will tear your gut up.

  • WOW you're videos are some of the most revealing about celiac disease as I had ever seen! Like the sweating symptom, I know I've had sweating apart from mostly gastrointestinal symptoms when I had a relapse in 2005-2006.

Just one inconsistency. Does your son have "gluten allergy" or "gluten intolerance" which is celiac disease?

Both are treated with gluten free diet obviously... But the mechanism would be relevant for our understanding of both.

  • Adults can have more than digestive issues, as can children I'm sure. Just sharing my info.

  • nothing happens to me if i eat gluten , i have no allergies. But i tried a gluten and diary free diet for five days and my body fat dropped! Sat. and Sun. I ate pasta so i messed it up. So, i am going to do it again until i see my abs. It works!

  • i rarely eat packaged gf foods. i eat mainly fruits/veggies and make my own grain-based products with grains that don't contain gluten (there are lots of yummy ones!) and usually don't add sugar in my baking. yes, there are a lot of people who are on carb and sugar overload and experience blood sugar issues when they try to go gf, but that just masks the real issue that gluten intolerant people who actually eat a healthy diet experience.

  • well, define "withdrawls". that aside, carbs is only a very small portion of the reaction. if you don't substitute the grains that contain gluten with grain that don't, then you well experience carb cravings. however, if done properly the carb balance in your diet remains stable. i don't read about it online, btw, i experience it! ya, people are full of crap in general, but if you saw my diet you'd realize there's something more going on.

  • umm, YES, there is!!! not everyone who has gluten intolerance has noticeable symptoms. however, for those of us who DO, there are most definitely withdrawl symptoms!

  • Thanks for the video. When I get glutened (it's good it hasn't happened in a looong time), I usually get the worst stomach cramps imaginable and throw up a lot. I usually feel better once my body rids itself of the gluten, but it's still a horrible experience. I really don't see how some celiacs sometimes eat gluten on purpose because they find the diet too hard to stick to. No food could taste good enough to ever make me do that. :(

  • Well some people don't have the money to afford a completely gluten free/organic diet.

  • thank you for posting - you have been so helpful. I am posting the videos on myspace!
