@TheDoomguy10 I doubt it, video doesn't prove that 'cause all the guy had to do was start up the movie on one console before the other and make it appear that way, I own both models and this doesn't happen for me, if you start them up at the same time they start up the same, same speed and everything.

@afiDaveykerr get the new ps3 im getting 1 tomorrow if you have the old shape 40gb, 80gb you are going to have alot of problems with the ps3 servers will be down almost every month the best thing to do is get the slim the servers on those are alot faster mine broke today and i couldnt sign in for days and i got fed up so i chucked it in the bin, hopefully the slim should be alot better

look the ps3 fat maybe good in so many ways but it breaks all the time and it only comes with 80 gb and it makes a lot of noise and u always have to check if the fan is clean now for ps3 slim it is made for it cant break all the time and it has more memory and less errors and it doesnt make to much noise

And, slim or fat, you get a great game system and a great Blu-Ray Disc player.

And, if you want a fat PS3, take solace in the fact that your chances of a used PS3 bricking is nowhere near as high as a used XBox 360 bricking.

The difference between the slim and the origional seems to be about 10 seconds, wouldn't bother me at all, especially if it was done so the console would last (likely the reason it's slower)

Just dawned on me why its slower. Sony underclocked the CPU/GPU to avoid overheating problems. (YLOD) Less processor power means less heat! Honestly ive been wondering how they planned on keeping that lil guy from overheating. Makes sense now.

For this particular movie, Hellraiser, the the MGS4 80GB was slightly faster than the Slim.

Other movies may load different. Look at my game tests to see info about game load times.
