  • Great tutorial Rick! Question though: what kind of samples or clips do you use for scratching? Is there a set of standard ones, or you just choosing parts of different songs?

  • @uptownxpress - You can use both. As long as there's sound coming out of your deck you can scratch it! :-)There are various samples you can find that DJ's put together. The sample used in this video is one of the commonly used samples. Otherwise you can take any part of any song and manipulate it. Same principle goes with video. I don't know if they still have it but you can get a disc of samples and beats from Promo Only called Mixxing Link: Vol 1
