  • his eyes have so much sincerety in them. he seriosly wanted his viewers to lead a better healthy life. I bet no one in todays world beleives in what they preach so much. all they care about is tv ratings!!

  • THis guy is ahead of his time. much respect fr him, A smart men

  • @giacomore

Actually in Genesis chapter 5 the Bible gives bloodlines from Adam through Noah and the ages of all the men in that bloodline when they died, in that list the youngest one to die was Enoch at the age of 365. You may be correct on the current day statistics, I don't know, but I thought it important to point out that during biblical times it was very common for them to live past 100. In fact, it was unusual for them to die as young as 100

  • @JGookins Good point, but thats because in those days humanity was close to nature and didnt kill animals for food. They ate only raw fruits and vegetables. A raw vegan diet will allow a human to live to their real life expetency of 140 and thats without the aid of modern medicine

  • thats why you gomad if you gomad then u get enough calories and proteins to gain weight when lifting

  • @EATshitanddrinkbleac

Too bad the average faggot eats a bunch of shit along with his GOMAD

  • he sounds like robin williams

  • Closest thing we have ever seen to Super man. This man was 50 years ahead of his time. A real success story!

  • this guy was 96 years ahead of his time

  • never knew about this guy but apparently he invented so many of the machines and contraptions i take for granted at the gym

  • He's like the male Oprah!

  • This guy was a genius and I highly respect him.

  • I amazing how this man was ahead of his time. If we just listen to this man and stop beliving in all that bullsh**t of stupid diets and workout programs we would be in much better shape.

  • he's clearly speeding his head off!

  • Common sense. I ove this guy!

  • Most importantly, life's not about who's gonna live longer, but how you gonna spend the years you'll live. Jack's primary goal is to help you achieve healthy happiness. The fact that people that are healthily happy and eat healthy live long is just a side effect.

  • Jack was awesome. Helluva great guy, too.

  • wow....so old school(and true)

  • He said exercise everyday, He means Do running 3 days, Upperbody 2 days, Lower Body 2 days a Week. Separate these so theres at least a 2 day rest. Its proved now that rest is ESSENTIAL! Do not over train a Muscle Group! BALANCE is KEY!

  • You can tell he's serious by how he's sitting backwards in his chair.

  • he said in this vid tht u need protein to gain weight, some other experts say tht u need protein to lose fat, or it helps to shed fat, which of the opinion is right, the medical books say tht extra protein is turned into fat by the body....

  • @tigermancall - well excess amino acids are deaminated (removal of amine group), at which point it becomes a carboxylic acid which are what fats are. So it's entirely plausible.

  • @tigermancall he means get a proper amount of protein. your body needs protein to build muscle and thus you can't build muscle mass (the kind of mass you want) without adequate protein...however a proper diet is about balance; you don't just go and eat a big juicy steak every time you get hungry. you need a lot of vegetables in your diet. fruit, whole grains, etc. just as redrosecross said about exercise, it's all about balance.

  • This guy is my grandmas uncle. For real I'm not joking.

  • To gain weight you want to gain muscle weight mainly. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables with wholegrain carbs. Also include proteins from non/low fat dairy, nuts seeds and lean meets such as skinless chicken or fish.

Do 30-60 min cardio every day or at least 5 times a week and include weightlifting.

  • Wow! Thanks for the great ideas. I think they will go very well with the program I'm using through the reallifeforhealth website. Their system is really easy to use and it does everything. They have 1000's of different recipes to choose from and they help you build a fitness and nutrition plan that suits your goals. I'm happy that there's no fad diets, pills, or required supplements. I'm really impressed with it, especially since they offer a free trial.

  • go to our channel and view the video:) then go to the link and view sum of our products for gaining weight:)

  • wow imagine him on Twitter 10 mill followers

  • hehe i eat properly and excercise alot...

    bummer

  • "This little get-together" -- what a visionary television performer. He knew that TV could be a means of connecting with human beings, not just a platform for mindless entertainment.

  • He left out that it is good for women to swallow lots of hot gooey semen every day to help them gain weight!

  • I don't give a damn what people say Jack Lalanne will always be one of my heroes dead or alive. Whether he lived to 95 or 995. It doesn't matter the fact is that he lived a very good life better than most of the people on YouTube. Do me a favor look down your street or in your shopping mall I bet you'll find a bally total fitness he started that jerk offs.

  • You people really need to study a lot more biochemistry, or at least some endocrinology....

  • As for the 'right' to say any of this - I leave that to the constitution.

  • @pmfith And George Burns lived to a hundred even though he smoked - lucky guy. The fact is only 1 in 4400 people will live to see 100. With numbers like that it seems to me Jack was onto something with his super simple concepts. And he wasn't sitting around in a wheelchair clinging to life for 10 years in a rest home. He was living the life - driving around in a Corvette and travelling the world still spreading his message. I bet nobody said to his face he didn't know what the heck he was doing

  • @swaldo2000 My WORD!!! Jack Lalanne was way ahead of his time its scary that still to this day we are still facing the same health problems that this man was address back in the 50's. However now its gotten worst then ever before.

  • @swaldo2000 I think there are enough evidence found just by looking around to prove that long life is determined by genetics. One should exercise because one wants to live life energetically, purposefully, constructively so that you can do your best with whatever genes you have. And this was what Lalanne did. So I respect the guy.

  • @swaldo2000 I read a long time ago that 100 years has always been life expectancy As an upper limit. There are biblical references to 100 years though few people lived to that age. But free of disease was known even in ancient times that one might live to 100. Then I read in Guinness in1970 about odds. As I recall, it went something like this: If you reach 99 chances to reach 100 are 50%. At 100, odds of 101 become 1 in 14. At 114 1 in 14 billion. Jack might have had time left. Pneumonia vaccin

  • @pmfith How healthy and happy is John McCain's mother though?

With technology, we can have people hooked up to machines and live way passed their natural life span, but are they happy and healthy? Put your biology book down and go do some push-ups.

  • @geoffreytracy aw yeeeeeeee

  • @pmfith So what's the right amount to work out?

  • @pmfith Yeah but how many 90 year olds could do what he did on a daily basis? And what good is living to 100 if you're stuck in a wheelchair tied to an oxygen machine?

  • @pmfith Post a video of your body and face with clothes on of course. Let's see who looks better, an arrogant biochemist or Jack Lalanne. That will be all the scientific evidence we need.

  • @pmfith Let's see ANYBODY tow 70 boats carrying 70 people while shackled and handcuffed 1.5 miles much less at age 70! I'll consider myself a lucky man if I have half his energy at that age. He may not have lived forever but every day on this earth was truly lived by him. Very few can say that.

  • @pmfith

So? He lived gloriously. Doesn't matter how long he lived. It matters what he did while he lived.

  • @pmfith

Dude, the diffirence between Jack Lalanne and all those people who lived longer than him is that he was still in great shape even till the day before he died. He was actually doing this regular excersize routine the day before he passed away. How many 96 year olds can say that.

  • I loved Jack and he was a big inspiration to me 40 years ago (I was 9 at the time) - but Jack never really understood biochemistry very well, and he certainly had no idea of the damage that carbohydrate / excess insulin does to your system. He also never understood the massive free radicals that are generated from exercising, so he didn't see the damage from exercising so much and so often. As to gaining weight - it's more a function of genetics and metabolism than he ever realized...

  • @pmfith Wut? So because he died at the ripe young age of 96 proves he had it all wrong? I think you need to live another 49 years before you have the right to say any of this.

  • @swaldo2000 n second everything pmfith said is not true at all. carbs dont create insulin, your body does, in response to blood glucose(sugar). its not the carbs but the sugar. tell me why is it they put sugar in bread? they dont have to but they do to make you addicted. second ACMS MINIMUM recommendations is to exercise most days at least 30 min of moderate intensity and remember that is the minimum which is to maintain your body not even to lose weight.

  • @swaldo2000 good nutrition will compensate for any free radicals. and last genetics and metabolism have little to do with gaining weight. thats just n excuse to not exercise and eat correctly. The recommended diet is 60% carbs 20-25% (carbs like he said ,whole wheat goodness not enriched white bread) fat and 15-20% protein. gaining and losing weight is all a matter of calories. if you ask me for 40 years ago this man is dead on with everything even to present his system rings true

  • @premium1823 You wouldn't believe it, but if you look at the science, especially exercise is responsible for training the body to eliminate free radicals on its own. By using high potency antioxidants, this adaptation gets lost. Highly interesting considering the SAID principle in adaptation.

As for Insulin, it is NOT the culprit. But if you are already insulin and leptin resistant, dieting becomes more tricky.

  • @swaldo2000 Sorry, I must have misread that then. I failed in that regard ;)

I still don't like the China study because of its bad science. It is a good bad example for people who have a background in science though ;)

  • Jack LaLanne is such an inspiration to those who want to live a healthy lifestyle but don't know how to. He has so many different methods that anyone can follow! I just read this article about him that made me want to carry out some of these methods. nymag.com/daily/intel/2011/01/jack_lalanne_will_shame_you_wi.html

  • @mirrorpiece if you really are eating 2700-3400 calories a day, 60-90 grams of protein is NOTHING. 3000 calories should have over 200 grams of protein. you need to eat more fish (salmon, tuna), meat (beef), chicken, nuts (almonds), protein shakes, eggs, cottege cheese, oatmeal, all that good stuff

  • they need to have guys him on tv today. whatever happened to shows like this anyway?

  • @LOLMAN22 Jersey Shore.

Don't worry fella, I agree with you. I hate the world.

  • Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwiches = Rocket Fuel for Athletes!

Have a banana with it and you'll really blast off when you exercise!

  • RIP

  • RIP

    Jack the Ripped

  • RIP Jack.

  • This man showed us that he wasn't ahead of the time...we were all behind. this man is a bad ass

  • I think Jack Lalanne is cool as fxxk this was before color t.v. and he was talking about supplements and fad diets. Every time I see this guy I smile because he has taken life by the neck and pimped slapped it. I wish my generation knew about this guy. If you don't like what jack says your probably fat and hate your life anyway!

  • Working out 7 days a week, lol, yeah that's great for hardgainers...not. Burning up all those precious cals :D

  • jack said it all.

    Couldnt of said any better

and still good to this day

  • I tried Sara Lee's whole wheat bread and Sara Lee's honey wheat bread, and the whole wheat had more sugar in it and high fructose corn syrup was higher on the list of ingredients.

  • I workout realy hard, get atleast 8 hours of sleep everyday, eat alot of protein (around 60 to 90 grams a day. and im stuck at 132 pounds for a long time now.

A sandwhich with honey and peanutbutter? sometimes i in the evening i eat 5 slices of bread with peanutbutter ,quark cheese, milk, yoghurt. my daily calories are around 2700 to 3400. i may add all come from cals are from healthy foods. (3400 is rare, and only at days i had a full body workout at the gym) What am i doing wrong?

  • @mirrorpiece You simply need more calories. Add some high calorie snacks such as avacado, dates filled with peanut butter, some half & half with cereal etc. Lalanne has been on record stating milk is a killer, but he's also been on record advocating it for the underweight. So drink 3 glasses of milk per day but do so moderately and only when you need to gain weight. Also keep a log of what you eat and make sure you're also getting enough veggies, fruit, grains, vitamins and clean meat.

  • @swaldo2000 read the china study before you start telling people to drink milk.

  • @zaccone16 Jack Lalanne printed a weight gain recipe in some of his old books. He's the one who said milk is ok on a temporary basis if you need to gain weight. Milk in moderation is fine, and he's also been on record recommending raw milk if you can find it. It's ok everyone, milk is not evil - they key is moderation with all foods.

  • @swaldo2000 Not only more calories, he needs WAY more protein.

  • @Shaolos Jack Lalanne switched from being a bodybuilder to strength & endurance exercise because excess protein made him feel like crap. If you want to load up on protein and feel bloated and gassy all the time be my guest. I'd rather be healthier and feel better with less muscle. And by the way, if you eat a balanced diet and increase calories you'll also be taking in more protein.

  • @swaldo2000 I just saw you are advocating the China study. I will be honest with you, the China study is a piece of the worst science and worst reasoning I have yet seen. Denise Minger has done a great analysis of why this is so.

There is no valid reason protein could make you bloat and feel gassy if you aren't deficient in gut bacteria/enzymes. Yes, feeling healthier is great and I agree with you. But if eating healthier means vegan, that are two concepts which are not necessarily linked.

  • @Shaolos I never advocated the China Study, I've never even heard of it. Another poster brought it up and told me I should read it.

  • @swaldo2000

2700 to 3400 seems like a lot of calories mabe he is not doing heavier exercises but more endurance ones

  • @mirrorpiece Snack on almonds all day and drink PROTEIN shakes...buy some whey protein or another supplement that can give you those extra calories you need in a healthy shake

  • @mirrorpiece

2700 - 3400 is simply not even close to enough calories if you want to gain serious weight...@ 132 ur already using about 1500 cals just for being that weight...never mind any moving about or exercising you might do...up it to 4000 then 4500 then 5000...at 5000 I guarantee, if you dont increase exercise, you will gain a minimum of 2lbs per week..but make sure they are healthy cals from nuts and dried fruits etc...other cals will make you weak and slow and depressed.

  • @mirrorpiece double your protein intake, do heavy squats, come back in a month.

  • @nvcn86 If anything that will cause weight loss. You could be getting 500 grams of protein a day, but that means nothing if you aren't getting enough calories. Squats burn more calories, and cause more muscle breakdown than any other weight lifting exercise, so if diet isn't improved upon squats are very counter productive.

  • @titans091052. it would be hard to double his protein intake without increasing his calories as well. plus, if he's taking 3400 with 90g of protein, by doubling that he'll get to 4000, which at 132 should be well enough. also, i am yet to see someone lose weight with calorie surplus and heavy squats. squats and milk, making guy big since 1940s.

  • @nvcn86 Oh yeah, sorry, bro. You're right. I thought your post was to something else. My bad

  • @mirrorpiece

Your protein sucks. You should eat as many grams of protein for each pound of bodyweight that you want to be. Eat a protein shake after you work out (and you better be working hard) and make sure that you get plenty of complex carbs (wheat bread, brown rice).

  • @Pervy1 I know, im actually gaining weight already. And yes, i always work to complete failure. i already increased my protein intake by alot. But its going fine right now.. feeling much stronger.

  • @mirrorpiece I was this way forever. What I did to succeed:

    1. Use free weights, not machines. This was my big game changer. An ex-footballer helped me out. His big advice was to get off the machines and hit the steel. It made a world of difference. I felt silly because of my 130lbs frame playing with the big boys, but he helped to get me doing it right.

    2. Eat immediately after working out. For me, a big fat burrito with pintos, rice, salsa, cheddar cheese, and guacamole gave me everything.

  • @mirrorpiece Also, protein isn't everything. Fat is a nutrient. Good fats are in nuts and avocados. Eat some mixed nuts every day, not peanut butter necessarily, but real nuts.

Google 'fat protein carb ratio' and read up on it. The bodybuilding website on the first page of results has a lot of good info.

  • @Exitof99 I know, actually i love nuts! I do eat alot of peanutbutter though, i always make sure its good peanutbutter, so no sugar or bad fat added. Since i go to school everyday , fish and eggs arent realy the right thing to eat then, i always go for slices of bread with peanutbutter. I do eat fish eggs and high protein when im home.

I dont think protein is anything either, i believe you need an allround healthy body for maximum muscle growth and the best results.

  • @mirrorpiece More protein. Your muscles need protein to grow and if you're working out "really hard," then 60 grams of protein is not enough. I used to be stuck around 135 lbs. until I started eating lots of protein and cut out crappy carbs. Good luck! =]

  • @mirrorpiece I live with a guy who's really into bodybuilding, and he eats 300 grams of protein a day. That's like 3 pounds of chicken or something. And he's not underweight =) give it a shot!

  • @mirrorpiece it takes time for some people... it took me 2 months to gain 10 lbs.. it doesnt happen over night, so just be dedicated to big heafty meals.

  • @wordey123 lol. I hate to break it to you but a lot of that was either waterweight, fat, or maybe you just need to go #2. Even hard leaning mesomorphs with a perfect diet and workout plan don't gain a pound of muscle every 6 days.

  • @titans091052 yeah. did i say it was pure muscle?

  • @wordey123 Sorry it's just that most people don't show off fat gains. Anyone can gain fat uber-fast...it's easy.

  • @mirrorpiece You're working out too much. You're burning more than you put in. As a "hard gainer" I once read that it's best to do one set to failure of that muscle group with a weight that you can do 8 -10 reps comfortably..failing on the 10th..if you fail before -too much -after- not enough...so you're working a different part on different days & you evenually increase the weight keeping it at 8-10reps w/ full week recovery and you will see results..Also, do not do any cardio! worked for me.

  • @mirrorpiece 60-90 grams of protein a day isnt alot.. 1 to 1 1/2 x bodyweight = grams of protein

Example: I weight 210, 210-315 grams of protein a day.

  • @mirrorpiece your protein is quite low. increase it to 1-1.5 grams per lb of bw. get on a proven routine that's worked for others such a starting strength, madcows, 5 day split etc. if i was you i'd take a high calorie weight gainer since you have a fast metabolism. have one for breakfast, and another one during the evening. most weight gainers have alot of protein in them so that should cover your protein but if it doesn't add chicken breasts or boiled eggs, both easy.

  • @mirrorpiece also, don't forgot to eat alot of vegetables and fruits. along with an omega 3 capsule or oil and a multivitamin. good luck.

  • @mirrorpiece I doubt you eat 3400 calories a day if you are only 132 pounds. That would only be possible if you are VERY active. And 60 to 90 grams of protein for 3,400 calories is not nearly enough. A gram of protein is 4 calories. So if you eat 90 grams of protein, then that is only 360 calories from protein and 3,040 calories from carbs and fats. Your numbers don't add up.

You should be eating around 130 grams of protein a day and figure out your calorie intake by trial and error.

  • @mirrorpiece what you think 60-90g of proteins is enough for a day ? are u kiddin me!!!

you need at least 200g. try a zonal diet and if u notice improvements within a month, stick to it.

    (40 carbs, 30 proteins, 30 fat in %).

  • @mirrorpiece MORE PROTIEN

  • @mirrorpiece You have a very high basal metabolic rate, aka your body burns through calories like a Hammer burns through gasoline. Your metabolism is extremely inefficient, but in layman's terms, you have a "fast metabolism." Overweight people, aside from being overweight, actually have extremely efficient bodies! They sort of have the "Toyota Prius" of metabolism, they require very few calories to sustain themselves. But as a result, too many calories just end up getting stored as fat.

  • @mirrorpiece My suggestion is to go to GNC and pick up a big ol' bucket of GNC Pro Performance Weight Gainer 2200 Gold. It's low-fat calorie-filled powder, made specifically for people like you who work out, eat healthy, consume protein, but just can't gain the lean mass they need. Each scoop has around 600 low-fat calories, and should be a great supplement to your current regimen. It'll give you that extra calorie boost without having to make so many sandwiches. good luck with your workout!

  • @mirrorpiece Sure, eat lots of protein, eat as much as you want. But get it from plant sources and make sure that protein only comprises 5-10% of your diet. Also, you are clearly a hard-gainer. If you want to gain weight, workout less: gym time should be 30-60 minutes 3-4 times a week. Muscles grow OUTSIDE the gym, not in it. water, yoga/stretching and regular sleep is important too. Message me if you want more ideas.

  • ive got the same problems but this guy makes sense...im 150 and trying to gain for years now..recently ive been eating on average 5000 calories a day recently but still nothing

  • @mirrorpiece It's also genetics. If you do everything that you say you do, and you are still only 132 pounds, then that's where you should be. Embrace who you are and be healthy. That's the main goal.

  • @Plysomack No way man! You should always strive for your dreams. Never settle for "ok" or average. Do what you have to do to be the best you can be.......Ok im done now lol

  • @mirrorpiece You say "a lot of protein) and then put it at 60 to 90 grams for a 132 body. That is not, in bodybuilding terms, "a lot". Try going to AT LEAST 1 gram per pound of body weight DESIRED! That's a natural bodybuilding MINIMUM.

  • @mirrorpiece @mirrorpiece You say "a lot of protein) and then put it at 60 to 90 grams for a 132 body. That is not, in bodybuilding terms, "a lot". Try going to AT LEAST 1 gram per pound of body weight DESIRED! That's a natural bodybuilding MINIMUM.

  • @mirrorpiece DON'T do full body workout when trying to gain weight...

What you need is to go to the gym train 1 or 2 muscles like for ex biceps, chest but no longer than 1 hour and go home and eat right after. and keep eating in every 2 hours.

then give your body time to rest like a whole day and after that day you go again doing other muscles. like legs or back and so on

When working out watch the time and dont do it for more than 1h because you're gonna run out of carbs and loose muscle

  • @mirrorpiece 60 grams of protein is not "a lot." although protein reqs are often overstated, that's an average meal for me.

  • @mirrorpiece I suggest you only do weight training 2-3 times a week and no more. If you find it hard to put on weight it would be better to not work out realy frequently and for too long. Eating red meat realy helped me put on weight and lots of oats and beans lol But otherwise eat more and more lol you will get used to it eventualy though. Also 60 to 90 grams of protein is not very much, I would say at the least have 120 grams. Maybe change your workout routine too.

  • @mirrorpiece Stay away from processed foods. Eat 5 to 6 spread out meals a day. Lift heavy weights with low reps. Also your protein intake should be a gram for every pound that you weigh. Good luck

  • 9 really fat boys/girls clicked disslike!

  • good info for its time

  • @mariaperiwinkle Good info even today.

  • students <3

  • "cards and letters." nobody does that anymore!

  • @tacoman1928 and it's a pitty

  • This guy is a living Legend!

  • he would be a cool dad

  • @auzio yea he wouldve been coudlve gave bastards like me the confidence i needed to succeed lol.

  • I am 13 years old, 91 pounds, and 5"3. I think I am underweight for my height and age and I would like to gain weight. I also have a very fast metabolism, so eating food doesn't seem to help me very much. :S Any suggestions?

  • @jipmip2332 I was exactly like you. You'll eventually grow up and fill out. In the meantime, eat 4 or 5 meals a day, consisting mostly of meat & green veggies. Stay away from starches and sugars, especially high-fructose corn syrup. Lift fairly heavy weights 3 or 4 days a week (basic compound movements like squats, deadlifts, overhead presses). Do sprints 3 days a week (not on lifting days). Eventually it'll pay off and you won't be quite so skinny.

  • @AntoineFTW Did you just tell him too stay away from starch? Starch should be your main source of energy.

  • @TYTRALOCITY That's outdated thinking. Loading up on simple carbs will cause obesity and other health problems down the line (complex carbs with breakfast is fine, though). I'm assuming Jipmip wants to add muscle to his scrawny frame, not turn into one of those skinny-fat types who develop adult-onset diabetes. I used to be exactly like him, and cramming down tons of starchy crap did nothing for me. But eating lots of meat & leafy veggies and lifting heavy weights 3 days a week did the trick.

  • @TYTRALOCITY I use fat for my main source.

  • @jipmip2332 1 kilo chicken 2 liter milk and 300 grams of peanut butter, 10 slices of brown bread and 500 grams potatoes, 1 apple a banana 200 grams vegatable a day. This would not hurt you as this is a normal beginners bodybuilding diet.

  • @jipmip2332 Milk and peanut butter are amazing and in my opinion the best food for gainning mass and weight.

  • @jipmip2332 Actually, I just went to this website and I just put your information in and it said that you are at a healthy weight. You are not too skinny, you are at a normal weight.

  • @MrHotgirllover17

Hmmm I'd really like to know what site that is because my body is really weird I have big legs....then my upper body is super skinny, showing my ribs and my arms are like toothpicks.

  • @jipmip2332

Im the opposite, My arms and upper body are detailed and where I want them to be, then around my gut I have an excess apron of fat, then my legs are super small chicken legs.

  • That guy looks like he fell out of a videogame

  • hey I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat eggs. is there anyway I gain gain weight an look healthy. I look underweight. I've tried eating nuts, drinking a lot of milk and eating food like legumes, beans etc but still won't put on weight. any ideas or help

  • @vixpatel1991 protein shakes are good instead of water use milk an do your pushups an pullups....you do not need heavy weights to put on muscles

  • Jack is a wonderfull inspirational role-modell of a underweight child coming through cleansing by the principles of the natural health science of Dr. Paul C. Bragg. He was a 6 years strict vegan Rawfoodist and trained almost every day to get in super shape and energy until he was 21 years young. He recorded a lot of cold-water-swimming feats and was second at the Mr. America contest at 40 years of age. He is not a 100 % rawfoodist, but look at him now with 96 years how fit he is in brain + body

  • i dont know this for sure cause im NO WHERE NEAR THIS TIME PERIOD but whole wheat bread must of scared ppl back than ahhahaha

  • I seriously think that Jack Lalanne could live forever, or at least well past 100. I mean hell, he's 94 and still moving around with tons of energy. Best part about it, is that his tips for nutrition and fitness are still being used today, because they work and he is living proof.

  • i need help so pls help me... i wan buy milk but theres two choices one is alot of protein but zero fats the other is not 7.3 grams of protein per serving but 5grams of fat which is btr pls tell me

  • @freakmenoobi dont drink milk...its terrible for you since all milk is pasterised and full of hormones and chemicals. Your better of with a healthy diet.

  • @fIRsTRATmAN wat type of diet cause i wan gain weight not lose weight

  • @freakmenoobi well what you wanna gain is quality muscle and not weight. What ever jack says in this video and in general is right on the money.

Start weight training, lifting compound movements, workout 4-5 times a week. Without knowing what you look like or what your size is i cant give you all the advice.

Stay away from red meats, Eat FISH,Chicken, turnkey,Oats,Egg Whites, brown rice/spaggetti/pasta,fruits and vegetables. Eat atleast every 3 hours so your body is in a contant anabolic state.

  • @freakmenoobi If you follow what ive said above, TRAIN HARD,eat correctly and get enough rest there should be no reason why you shouldnt gain muscle. Its not gonna happen overnight you have to have the dedication to stick with it.

Day in day out, year in year out and you will see your body transform. Peace

  • @fIRsTRATmAN herm okay ur some great guy u no that... thax ya ill do wat i can..

  • @freakmenoobi First you have to cleanse your body with natural raw food, water and endurance training, Often you will lose weight, but your intestines will be cleansed so you will be prepared to gain weight by the most natural food of living cells the rawfood like fruits, vegetables, salad and nuts. Read the book "Miracle of Fasting" by Dr. Paul C. Bragg. He is the specialist in nutrition and fitness. Jack LaLanne was his student but he went back to eat beside the rawfood also Eggs and fish

  • I love this guy... what is his name ? who is he ? I really wanted to know

  • @vineet957 jack lalanne

  • Such an awesome guy!!!! he's an angel.

  • What a fantastic guy.

  • legend

  • this guy was way ahead of his time. cool. rock on old tv dude.

  • He only said the overweight girls and the underweight girls becose back then you didnt have to work out when you were a man becose the men were manly back then anyway regardless how they looked. Todays men is just a buch of sissys who play computergames and jerk off infront of the computer.

  • @Doderhultarn89 There were sissys back then too you ignoramus. This show was geared at women because that's who was watching daytime TV back then.

  • Work out "everyday" he sais, well Im not so sure thats good information I thought you need recovery time. I could be wrong, but thats what most people say.

  • @BuglyAstard He said exercise everyday.

  • Jack is an amazing visionary! He was 50 years ahead of his time when he made these shows. He even recommended whole wheat bread over white bread. I can't even imagine the ridicule he must have faced during that time period. But he is still going strong at 96, so Jack wins!

  • Jack is still doing great at 95! He still works out with weights for an hour or more a day and he swims laps for a half hour each day. In his most recent interview, Jack said that he expects to live to be 150! He still eats all of the right foods to stay healthy.

  • haha this guy is really cool. I wish he was my trainer or something.

  • What could i eat for breakfastt that would be good to gain whieght?

  • This guy was ahead of his time, the absolute mack daddy of the 50's! no doubt about it.

  • "EXERCISE IS A NORMALIZER!"

  • I perform Face Exercises while waiting at red traffic lights

  • There's just one thing Jack said which I disagree with; brown bread may be generally more beneficial but it kills the appetite more quickly than white. As a hard gainer, I switched to white for this very reason.

  • Everything Jack said in the 50's is valid today...good stuff...if "repropotion" (I cant spell) was used today instead of overweight, fat, heavy....people would lose the insecurities! Great use of the vocabulary. Love it.

  • @SD1Chargers Not everything. He changed his mind on dairy, and I agree. Dairy is nasty. He also changed his mind of meat.

  • @Lewis1985 goat's milk > cow milk, also twice as expensive.

  • "why does he say girls?"

This was a show aimed at 1950s family housewives.

  • at .38 - .40 check out the rip in his forearms ! Awesome !!

  • why does he say girls? whats with that? oh ya btw i already do exactly all the things he said which is funny, and yet my best was 5 pounds in 4 months. what the hell metabolism!

  • @StoniestStoned then you're doing something wrong probably - the chances that your specific metabolism/genetics/whatever is freakishly abnormal are low...

    just eat more, eat healthy

  • @whoracle699 it dont matter. I always eat healthy. I never eat fastfood or at any cheap restaurants. always fix my own food. and can easily eat 6-7 whole meals in a day and still be hungry. I just have an athlete's build.

  • such a smart man, knows so much about the human body and is very adamant that you take care of it because, you only have 1 : ) Face workouts are awesome xD

  • HA this is classic.

  • This is some pretty good general information about gaining weight...
