    "STRIIIIIDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!"

  • DAVE STRIDER

  • Dave: " Where mah bitches at?"

  • This song is badass

  • Guys

    Tomorrow

    TOMORROW

    WHOS READY

  • Its weird how this was used 3 times already and nobody really noticed.

  • @Narufreaka actually, those were different things. Some were just Sburban countdown, while at least one was just the first bit.

  • I wish this would be in the EoA Flash, but apparently it's something new. So much anticipation, I can't take it!

  • @Omnimegas Oh yes...

    Only 6 days remaining.

    Can't.

    Wait.

  • @SargonsEye

Nice to have an actual date approaching rather than just kinda

    waiting at our computers

    staring

    for a month

  • tick tock tick tock

  • There are like eight possible fraymotifs in here

  • I was anticipating this would be in the EOA5 flash, but it's been confirmed that it won't be. In that case, I'm expecting something from the September album that Toby "Radiation" Fox is working on -- there are a lot of rumors about it already.

  • this has been used in two flashes actually - the one with WV and the one where john takes a bite out of the apple

who's to say it isn't going to be used a third time?

  • @PurpleYorshee That second one was just Sburban Countdown.

  • @reaper7876 they're pretty much the same though

  • So, because apparently we all have memory blanks: p=002655

It's already been used in a flash.

  • @Seishintsuki Doesn't mean that the longer version won't be used later (see Sburban Jungle)... but we have confirmation via newspost that EOA5's music will be original.

  • @Seishintsuki 1 month after the other guy? Really? Fuck you're a stubborn one. And all the people who gave you thumbs up.

As a side note, I have a feeling this may be used for the beginning of Act 6.

  • Guys i just figured out what the ticking was in the song its most likely that this was going to be the doc scratch flash where he tells us about terezi killing vriska and such but then he scraped it and went to doc scratch mode

  • come on, this practically screams "EoA" The beginning counts down to CRITICAL MOMENT, with the exiles doing their shenanigans to get out (callback to original sburban reversal) and the rest is... i don't know there's so much to cover!

  • @fawfulkoopa When it starts going into reverse, it's the Scratch.

  • Sounds like Umineko....

  • So is this artwork depicting Dave as the Guardian for Bro? If so, then I am SUPER excited for the end of Act 5

  • @avatarbestfangirl What exactly in the picture are you talking about? This just looks like Dave being a coolkid.

  • @reaper7876 The art in the video. For some reason Dave looks aged up in this picture

  • @avatarbestfangirl Oh, I see. Meh, I dunno then.

  • 0:55-1:05

    MOST EPIC

    BACKING THE FUCK UP

    EVER

  • Bluh, know*

  • @UpsidePickle I bow how AH can be with twists and stuff, but wasn't Fedorafreak forgotten in basically act 5?

  • @Makadoros Yup. Pretty much. Then you read the panels about Nannasprite in the last few "Click the panels!", er, comics, and Nanna's talking to Fedorafreak on Dad's Serious Business PDA. You can even see him describe a quest bed. His phone died and we don't know what happened after that. We know he was bleeding and dehydrated. So... one can assume he's going to die on his quest bed.

  • @UpsidePickle He shall become the Gent of Piss.

  • This is the song that tipped the balance in getting me to buy At the Price of Oblivion.

  • This is the song that tipped the balance in getting me to buy At the Price of Oblivion.

  • Actual answer: "Sburban Reversal" was originally just Sburban Countdown that slowed down and reversed itself back to the beginning (the first 1:08 of the current version). Andrew used just the first 30 seconds or so in the earlier flash, but still credited it as "Sburban Reversal". Since people were asking what the whole song was, and because it wasn't anything special, I decided to extend it out to the current version.

  • @AgentParsec Oh, so very slim chances of ever seeing it in a new flash.

  • @AgentParsec so you extended it? are you the original creator or just a remixer?

  • @lobsteros Original creator, though of course it was based after the theme in "Sburban Jungle".

  • I can hear kind of a T1ck T0ck melody combing from this song, ..

  • Dave's God Tier theme

  • I, for some reason, am feeling a Touhou vibe from this piece. Especially when the strings come in for the first time. Flowering Night, maybe?

  • @UpsidePickle yeah, definitely the vibe going on, but maybe not flowering nights. More like history of the moon, or at least in my opinion...

  • Great Scott! Time shenanigans!

  • or something else might happen.

  • "My other dead selves are being erased; what's going on?" Aradia simply answers that "the work of my colleagues is being undone and your existence will be made null and void... it's hard to explain. Sorry!" Finally, he fades off, his last thought being, more or less, "Gogdamnit, Egbert."

    End of Act 5.

  • He cries out in agony that his mission is left undone but is relieved that his primal rage is gone... only to see that he himself is disintegrating, too. He still belongs to the kids' Incipisphere, and if it disappears, so must he. The trolls, armed, watch as he turns to a fine ebony dust. They turn around to see that the other threat is still there, but wonder... what did those humans do to finally kill The Demon? The remaining dead Daves fade out one by one. Green Suit Dave asks:

  • As the hands of the clock go back and back, we see Rose's death and Dave's being undone, the Forge becomes unstoked, Jade's Tower returns to normal, and then disappears (and so does LOFAF), Rose's grimdark state is reversed, and so on and so on. The hands keep winding back faster, going past the beginning of Act 4 and Act 3 and 2 and 1, etc. Bec Noir, faced with the remaining trolls, sees his Queen's Ring disintegrating and his prototypings vanish until he is left as his default carapaced self.

  • The [S] flash for this song would be amazing. Sburban Countdown starts up normally; Dream Rose and Dream Dave go through Paradox Space with The Tumor in haul. There isn't much time left and they need to hurry. At :35 two things happen: John causes The Scratch, and the Dersite Royalty detonate The Tumor at the Green Sun, taking their dream selves with them. A clock is shown on the overlay of the remains and begins winding down. Every major event with the kids is shown going in reverse. (cont)

  • Yes i believe you are right.

  • Yes i believe your right

  • Yes i believe so

  • No Mr.Strider, I expect you to die.

  • So who actually did this track?

  • Reminds me of dai's music.

  • It's alright, there are always people like me that always buy the albums immediately at release in a fit of passion.

  • You should probably take this down... There's a reason that the makers made it a bonus track, to be received only if you buy the album. I hate to be a party pooper, but piracy against small artists /is/ a big deal.

  • @PopeRichardCorey I somehow agree, however I should point out that the upload of these bonus tracks made me even more interested in buying the album to suppor the authors. I might be just a case anyway.

  • @Arudap Oh, yeah, definitely -- I already meant to buy them when I had enough money, but hearing this song (hypocritically, twice) put "catching up on HS albums" waaaay far up on my list of necessary-purchases list. But even if most people are like us, it does set/follow an uncomfortable precedent about unpaid use of another's intellectual property.

  • pretty intresting the first part before the rewind has the beat going tick tock tick tock, just to be replaced with tock tick tock tick.

    foreshadowing maybe?

  • I just realized that it's been almost two years since we first heard this song, and it only now just got released on an album.

  • Good music.

  • I like the idea of this being used in the Scratch, but they might not use the whole song (as good as it is), because I can't think of too many things they could put in after the restart at 1:10.

  • @warob2000 AH has been shown to not always use the entirety of songs. Also, it'd be a nice introduction to the reset universe.

  • @warob2000 Hussie's got ways....

  • from about 0:48 till 1:06 there's a constant "fap fap fap"

  • @Alvamalex that's the sound of the ticks and tocks reversed

  • @CrappyBlueLuigi

its the sound of you jacking off to 13 year old girls

  • @Alvamalex indeed

  • @Drogue87

Actually, the one in Act 1 was Sburban Countdown, which has already been put on an album. .w.

  • We got this song 2 times before now. Check the flash where John's about to get hit by the first meteor way back at the end of Act 1. Then again in Act 2 with the WV...

  • I imagine this going with The Scratch, the part where it's winding back shows a reverse montage of everything that's happened so far.

  • Ten bucks says this will be in the next flash. Any takers?

  • @inferno232

It was in a flash a very long time ago. The PSYCHE flash right before WV: Ascend

  • @inferno232 Pretty sure it was already in a flash. WV: Ascend had the beginning of this tune if I remember right.

  • @LittleBigSnerky That was Sburban Countdown, which is sampled at the beginning of this song.

  • @SHadyLAdy70

Wasn't Sburban Countdown already used in [S] John: Enter?

  • @inferno232 It was though, wasn't it..?

  • Which one was that again?

  • @inferno232 Bro, this got used 2 years ago.

  • @Natendo64 Did you listen to the whole song?

  • @Natendo64 That was Sburban Countdown, not Revesal.

  • @inferno232 This has already been in a flash... Page 2655.

  • @Clyte23 I'm pretty sure they just slowed down the end of Sburban Countdown, put that on the flash, then later this was made and it was retconned into being the track for the flash.

  • @PhantomHoover2 Nope, Sburban Reversal has always been in the sound credits.

  • @PhantomHoover2 I guess that's possible, but I doubt it. I'm betting that they just used the first half of this song. It's been labeled as "Sburban Reversal" in the sound credits page for a while now, long before HS vol 7 came out. *shrugs* I guess it doesn't really matter though. AH has reused songs before, so he could just use the second half later, if he wanted to.

  • @Clyte23 That's the one this is based on.

  • @inferno232 Ten bucks says that this will be the flash where everything is reversed.

  • @inferno232 You lost 10 bucks. Hand over the four legged wild fauna.

  • @inferno232 It's probably going to be Savior of the Dreaming Dead as the act ender.

  • @UpsidePickle That would require someone going god-tier.

  • @CSDragon31 Fedorafreak. He died on his quest bed.

  • @inferno232 So how bout that 10 bucks

  • @hobomasterxxx Okay, okay. I just need your Social Security number, bank account, and PIN to transmit the cash. This is totally legit, promise.

  • @inferno232

Sure, i'll take the ten bucks, since it's kinda obvious.

    *yoink*

  • @inferno232 It's already been used, actually, in WV: Ascend.

  • It's like Sburban Jungle foreshadowing all over again... didn't get the full version until the end of Act 3, despite a teaser in Act 1.

I can deal with that. Someone on the Music team did once state that no act can finish without a snippet of Sburban Jungle in it anyway, so all good. Wanna say it was Radiation...

  • The Scratch?

  • @LastCrusader92 To think, this song has been with this name in the credits since WV:Hasten to the exit post-haste!

    Dat foreshadow
