@MrBCDummy it's spelled Ho-oh, and ash saw many other pokemon before he saw Ho-oh. maybe not in the Jhoto reigon, but he saw WAY more pokemon before he saw Ho-oh. i don't think that people even thought about it until the second season. i do not recall seeing any other pokemon than the ones that rightfully belong in the Kanto reigon in the first season.

@TheHannahfied whatev spelling mistake, first off yes he does indeed see Ho-oh in the first episode, at the very end. It's the first legendary Pokemon he saw. And I personally see it as a symbol for his and Pikachu's friendship but going back through the opening, Ho-oh does not accure that often. n3 appearances thats not even alot. Two at the beginning and one at the end so it's not the only pokemon in there.

Proof that DP is the best season, it actually has more action going on then just TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!! Hunter J introduces a whole new twist into Pokemon, a person who is ruthless and won't stop till she gets what she wants. And Paul is a much more serious rival than Gary, all in all DP has a much heavier storyline than its predescesors...

@katana292 I have to disagree with some of your points. In all due respect DP was a failure of a series. Not because it didn't have enough going on, oh no! It was because it just wasn't pulled off very well. The darker characters were an excellent idea but they felt so bland. All they were was a bunch of bad guys with little reasoning or their reasoning wasn't very well lighted, and the good guys were plain annoying. At least the previous series got a chuckle out here and there.
