Stalker, although not labelled as a horror, is pretty scary. The dense industrial atmosphere, the innovative camera and special effects, the ambient haunting soundtrack all give this game an incredible feel, one I failed to find in any other game. While lacking in terms of storyline and RPG development, Stalker compensates with the realistic and gritty feel I have yet to find in any other game.
P.S. Don't play this game after pot, and whatever you do, DON'T play it on acid.
Its not magic, its using a unique psi-Attack, after a while I belive they were supposed to turn its victims into mindless zombies, but It was cut out.
They were-a few mods (Oblivion Lost the most well known) adds the ability back in; along with alot of other stuff (my personal favorite is the dropped Toz-34 double barrled shotgun!)
You often end up shooting previously friendly people when a controller pops up in the mod. Don't play it until you beat the original game though. It modifies ALOT of things. (Controllers for example are very resistant to bullets. They're pretty much a grenades only job.)

Bloodsuckers, not so scary. I can see through their cloak, ala Predator-style. But these bastards annoy me.
